There is no code to type: the discount appears on the booking form once you enter an eligible card number. The allocation is first come, first served, and once it runs out the rate drops to Agoda's year-round 7% for DBS/POSB cards. The store also carries three pop-up exclusives: PUCKY Pixie Fluff Mushroom, PUCKY Flower Power Poka and the ZSIGA Just A Little Courage vinyl plush pendant, each capped at one per person. The catches: one gift per person and per transaction, a full case cannot be split into several receipts to collect more gifts, everything is while stocks last, and opening day only starts at 4pm.

Mandai Kids Enter Free: Singapore Zoo $44 and Rainforest Wild Adventure $50 for 1 Adult + 1 Child, Book by 4 Oct 2026
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is marking Children's Day with a Kids Enter Free bundle: one adult and one child for S$44 at Singapore Zoo or S$50 at Rainforest Wild Adventure, sold online at buy.mandai.com from 29 September to 4 October 2026 for visits from 2 to 18 October. Those two prices are exactly what a local adult pays alone on a weekend, so the child really is free on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. On a weekday the child effectively costs $5, which still saves $22 at the Zoo and $27 at Rainforest Wild Adventure against buying both local tickets. The catch: it is one free child per paying adult, the booking page prices it under Mandai's WildPass local pricing, and you have six days to buy.

10 Best Dance Classes for Adults in Singapore (2026): Trials From Free to $25

Donate Blood, Get a Free POP MART Blind Box: Singapore Red Cross at All 5 Bloodbanks, 25 Sep-12 Oct 2026
The Singapore Red Cross has brought back its POP MART giveaway for blood donors. From 25 September to 12 October 2026, anyone who successfully donates blood at one of the five bloodbanks (HSA at Outram, Dhoby Ghaut, Westgate Tower, One Punggol and Woodlands) receives one POP MART blind box, given out at random while stocks last. The step people miss: you must show the campaign artwork to bloodbank staff when you register, before you donate. Donors who only hear about it afterwards are not eligible, and you can't pick the series. The key visual pictures SKULLPANDA Ancient Castle and PUCKY Play Time boxes. Community blood drives aren't on the list, only the five bloodbanks, and each has its own closed day, so check the hours before you go.

Beard Papa's Bugis Junction Opening: 1-for-1 Custard Pie Cream Puffs, 28-30 Sep 2026
Beard Papa's has opened a new kiosk at Bugis Junction, unit #B1-K05A, and is celebrating with Buy 1 Free 1 on its Custard Pie cream puff for three days only, Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 September 2026. The brand's own Facebook announcement and campaign poster confirm the dates and the outlet. The catches: it applies only to the Custard Pie cream puff (not the flavoured or seasonal puffs), only at the new Bugis Junction kiosk, and the poster says T&Cs apply and it runs while stock lasts, so a sold-out afternoon is possible on a three-day opening deal.

GoroGoro Steamboat 2+2 Free: Four Eat for the Price of Two at The Centrepoint, 1-31 Oct 2026
GoroGoro Steamboat & Korean Buffet at The Centrepoint is running two October deals. On the buffet prices on GoroGoro's own page, four adults at a weekday lunch pay $37.80++ for the table, about $11.33 each after service charge and GST. The catches: you must book online and type the promo code into the reservation notes, follow GoroGoro on Facebook or Instagram, and leave within 80 minutes. The free diners are always the cheapest on the bill, and the 2+1 deal some sites still list has been replaced.

KidZania announced it on its official Instagram on 26 September. On its own booking page the same day, an October child ticket was S$102 and an adult S$62.05, both before 9% GST, so half works out to about S$55.59 a child and S$33.82 an adult with GST. The catches: the code only works on 3 October, you pick your visit date when you buy, and rescheduling later costs extra.

The catch: the rebate comes back as TANGS credit for your next purchase, not cash off the receipt, most deals are selected items, and paying with Atome earns no rebate.

Alongside it, Grocery Deals (the "Super Deals" poster) runs longer, to 20 October: WR Winemakers Reserve wine is Buy 1 Get 1 Free at $30.90, Nissin Big Cup noodles are 2 for $4, Nongshim 5-packs 2 for $9.50, Royal Umbrella 5kg rice $16 and 7-Eleven's own eggs 2 trays for $6.50. Both are selected stores only, and the $1 store list 7-Eleven links is still the one dated 27 October 2025.

Octoburst! 2026: 9 Free Children's Day Programmes at Esplanade on Fri 2 Oct, Plus a Free Room That Stays Open to 1 Nov
Octoburst!, Esplanade's children's festival, returns to the arts centre on Friday 2 October 2026, Children's Day, and every programme is free with no tickets and no booking. Nine programmes run from 10am to about 7.45pm across 19 start times, from a drop-in paper-flower craft studio and a self-guided room of stories written by Singapore schoolchildren, to non-competitive sports day games on the lawn, a children's choir, roving musicians, Roald Dahl set to live music, and a 6.45pm family dance party. A tenth programme, A Universe In Sounds, runs 3 and 4 October and is the only one with conditions: limited slots, free Esplanade&Me membership, one adult per child. The festival skipped Esplanade last year because of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, and The Story Keeper's Room stays on at PIP's PLAYbox until 1 November 2026.

Jewel's Peranakan Heritage Experience Is $46 for Singapore Residents to 31 Dec 2026, But $16.90 of That Is a Canopy Bridge Ticket and a Voucher
Jewel Changi Airport has a Peranakan experience running with Baba Nyonya at #05-204 from 1 August to 31 December 2026, and it is one of the few things on Jewel's promotions page nobody has written up. A Singapore resident pays $46 an adult and $39 a child; the standard rate is $49 and $42. The ticket bundles a single-serving Nyonya food sampler, a guided bookmark-making workshop, a Peranakan attire try-on, admission to the Mastercard Canopy Bridge worn in the outfit (which carries same-day Canopy Park entry) and a $5 Jewel retail voucher. Price the parts that already have a price and the cultural half costs about $29.10 for a resident adult and $25.10 for a child, the same $25.10 whether the child is a resident or not. The catch is who does not get a discount. This ticket has only two prices, standard and Singapore resident, so Changi Rewards and CapitaStar members, who pay $10.70 for the same Canopy Bridge ticket at the Jewel Concierge counters, pay the same $46 as everyone else. Mastercard holders get the bridge 1-for-1 with code MCJEWEL from Monday to Thursday, which makes the bundle weakest on the days slots are easiest to get. Five slots a day at 10.30am, 11.30am, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm, 20 people each, and women must bring a white camisole or buy one on site for $5.

Mandai's New Student Rates: A Student Now Pays the Child Price at All 5 Parks, But the $20 on the Poster Is Not in Mandai's Own Rate Table
Mandai Wildlife Reserve has added a Local Student rate to Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Adventure, and its campaign artwork sells it as "Admission from $20* (U.P. $33)". Put that beside the rate table on Mandai's own Single Attractions page and two things come out. The concession is real and simple: at every park, in both pricing periods, the Local Student price is identical to the Child price, so a student at Singapore Zoo pays $27 on a weekday instead of the $39 adult rate, and $22 less than the $49 a tourist adult pays. The second thing is the catch. The cheapest Local Student price Mandai publishes anywhere in that table is $25, at Exploria on a regular day, and $20 does not appear in it at all. The other trap is the calendar: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are peak days and cost more ($30 at the Zoo, not $27), and Night Safari counts Fridays as peak too, so a Friday night student ticket is $36 rather than $32. Seniors 60 and over do better than everyone, at a flat $25 at every park on every day of the week, and the Friends of Mandai Senior membership is $93 against a usual $255 with a POSB card until 31 December 2026, which pays for itself on the fourth visit. Every figure below was read off mandai.com on 19 September 2026.

Sorella's Biggest Lingerie Warehouse Sale: Everything Below $20 from 18 Sep 2026, and the Bras Are Where the Cut Is Real
Sorella posted the poster on its own Facebook page on the evening of 17 September: "THE BIGGEST LINGERIE WAREHOUSE SALE (YET)", everything below $20, from 18 September 2026, 11am to 7pm, at Tan Boon Liat Building #05-09, 315 Outram Road, a three-minute walk from Havelock MRT Exit 1. Four brands are in it: Sorella, Pierre Cardin Lingerie, Young Hearts and Felancy, all four owned by the same Singapore company. The $20 ceiling is not equally good across the four, and we checked every brand's own online store on 18 September to find out where it bites. On Sorella's site, 1,020 bra variants are listed and not one is under $20: the range runs $29.90 to $89.90 with a $52.90 median. Pierre Cardin Lingerie is the same story, 971 bra variants from $32.90 to $79.90, median $49.90, none under $20. Neither brand has a single item marked down online right now, and Sorella's own Shop Sale, Mega Sale and September Sales collections all return zero products. So for those two brands a $20 bra is a real cut of roughly 60 to 70 per cent off the usual online price. Knickers are a different matter: 633 of Sorella's 835 panty variants are already under $20 online at a $18.90 median, and Young Hearts already runs its own clearance, with 282 of its 419 bra variants sitting at $10 or $12. Felancy has no Singapore online store at all, so the sale is one of the few places to buy it here. Sorella has not published an end date.

Singtel's $6 Seniors SIM Only Plan: 340GB and Unlimited Calls for 60+, but Singtel's Own GOMO Gives 400GB for the Same $6 (Sep 2026)
Singtel has cut its no-contract 5G+ Seniors SIM Only Plan to $6 a month, down from the $12 its own plans page still shows struck through, for new lines and port-ins by customers aged 60 and above. Singtel's plan card lists 340GB of 5G+ local data, unlimited local calls, 6GB of Malaysia roaming, Caller ID and 100 SMS, and calls the price "limited time only" without giving an end date. Its sign-up form spells out what the headline leaves out: the free Caller ID and the TalkMore Unlimited add-on behind the unlimited calls are each free for 24 months, and it is one line per NRIC. The T&C PDF the form links to describes a different bundle (unlimited data and 50GB of Malaysia roaming), so screenshot the plan before you order. And Singtel's own digital brand GOMO is running a $6 senior plan too, with 400GB in Singapore, 400GB in Malaysia and 800 minutes.

Watsons Get Active 2026 Codes: $27 Off $126, $46 Off $206 or $68 Off $380 to Sun 20 Sep, and the App-Only Codes Added Today Are Worse
Watsons' Get Active 2026 sale has three online codes running to 11.59pm Sunday 20 September 2026: 27ACTIVE2026 takes $27 off $126, 46ACTIVE2026 takes $46 off $206 and 68ACTIVE2026 takes $68 off $380, on the Watsons website and app, with a free foldable wagon (worth $109) auto-added at $300 while stocks last. The middle code is the best rate at 22.3%, the top one the worst at 17.9%. Two app-only codes Watsons switched on today, APP78 and APP79, are strictly worse than the Get Active codes at every basket size, and the standard exclusion list knocks out GNC, fragrances, diapers, milk powder and most prestige brands.

NTUC Members Now Get 2 Free Sentosa Island Admissions Every Month: How to Link Your Card in the MySentosa App, and Who Actually Saves
NTUC members can now claim up to two complimentary Sentosa island admission e-vouchers every month, announced by NTUC assistant secretary-general Melvin Yong on 16 September 2026. The catch is a second membership: you need a Sentosa Islander account (free to join) linked to your NTUC membership inside the MySentosa app, and the voucher is a QR code in that app, so flashing your NTUC card at the gantry does not work. New vouchers drop on the 1st of each month and expire at month-end, with no blackout dates, and both can be used on the same day. They work at the Sentosa Express gates at VivoCity and at the Sentosa Gateway gantry for private cars. In money terms that is up to $8 a month on the Sentosa Express ($4 standard fare each) or a $2 to $6 car entry fee, and it matters most to Islander members on the free Explorer tier, because Insider and Priority members already get unlimited free island admission.

IKEA's Swedish Meatball Ice Cream Is Back for $4.90, Fri 18 to Sun 20 Sep Only: Five Pieces at the Swedish Bistro, 98 Cents Each
IKEA Singapore is bringing back the dessert that looks like its most famous main course. From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, the Swedish Bistro sells Swedish Meatball Ice Cream at $4.90: five meatball-shaped pieces of ice cream in a cup, with caramel sauce standing in for the cream sauce and IKEA's usual lingonberry jam on the side. IKEA's own bistro page calls it "back on demand" after its first run, and the only conditions it prints are the three dates, Swedish Bistro only, and while stocks last. That works out to 98 cents a piece, the same $4.90 the Tampines Level 1 bistro charges for four savoury meatballs in a cup. IKEA does not restrict it to one store, so all three bistro areas are in play, but two practical details decide where you go: the Level 1 bistro at Tampines runs a separate halal menu that does not list the dessert, and opening times differ by store, with Jurong starting earliest at 10am every day.

Collin's $8.80 Student Meal: Every Day at 5 Restaurants With a Free Soup or Coke, but It Is About $10.55 After Service Charge and GST
COLLIN'S has put a student meal on its promotions page: eight dishes at $8.80, with a free Wild Mushroom Soup, Coke or Sprite, all day from Monday to Sunday. Its own T&C set the limits. It is dine-in only and only at five of its 11 restaurants (Northpoint City, Marina Square, VivoCity, The Woodleigh Mall and Tampines 1), so Westgate, Paya Lebar Quarter, NEX, Sengkang Grand Mall, Shaw Plaza and Mandai Wildlife West are out. Prices carry 10% service charge and GST, which makes the $8.80 about $10.55 at the till, and the Classic Mixed Grill and COLLIN'S Cheeseburger cost $5 more (about $16.55). A float costs $3 extra. It cannot be combined with other promotions, membership privileges or vouchers, and Collin's has published no end date, only "limited time offer".

The Story of Studio Ghibli at Gardens by the Bay: Tickets From S$39, Opens to the Public 19 December 2026
The Story of Studio Ghibli, an immersive exhibition with 12 life-sized worlds from Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and more, runs at Gardens by the Bay's West Lawn from 18 December 2026 to 4 July 2027. Tickets are on sale on Klook now: Singapore Citizens and PRs pay S$39 (S$29 concession), against standard prices of S$49 to S$55. Public admission starts 19 December, and adult tickets bought by 17 December come with a free limited-edition gift.

Unity Popular Choice Awards Sale: Blackmores Fish Oil 400s at $60.30, Garnier Micellar Water Twin Pack Half Price, to 23 Sep 2026
Unity, FairPrice Group's pharmacy chain, is running its Popular Choice Awards catalogue from 27 August to Wednesday 23 September 2026. We read Unity's official 29-page e-catalogue. The best buys are the half-price cards (Garnier Micellar Water 2 x 400ml at $17.95 with a free Glow Buddy blind box, Sukin Body Wash 1L at $18, Gillette Labs razor at $21.45) and Blackmores Fish Oil Odourless 400s at $60.30, 40% off $100.50. That fish oil price is still dearer than July's Buy 1 Get 1, which worked out to $50.25 a bottle. Several "award" cards print no saving at all: Panadol, Nurofen Express and Laurier pads are simply shelf prices. Promotions run at selected stores while stocks last, and CHAS cardholders can add FairPrice Group's 6% on their card's day.

Firefly's 9.9 Deals: Singapore to KL (Subang) From SGD 128 One-Way, Book by 21 Sep 2026, but the 10kg Fare Charges MYR 150 to Change a Date
Firefly's 9.9 Deals put Singapore to Kuala Lumpur at "as low as SGD 128, all-in one-way" on the airline's own Singapore site, booked only on fireflyz.com.my or the Firefly app by 21 September 2026, for travel until 31 August 2027. The flights leave from Seletar Airport, not Changi, and land at Subang, the city airport much closer to KL than KLIA. The page throws in free 10kg checked baggage, in-flight snacks and "flexible flight changes". The fine print sits on Firefly's fees page. 10kg is the allowance of its cheapest SAVER fare (BASIC gets 20kg), and a SAVER date change on a Singapore flight costs MYR 150 per person per flight plus any fare difference. MYR 135 of every one-way fare out of Seletar is fuel surcharge, airport tax and aviation levy, and SGD 128 is the outbound floor, not a return price.

7 Best Yakiniku Restaurants in Singapore (2026): Buffets From $29.80++ and Wagyu Deals
From an $8.90 solo grill set to a $280++ wagyu omakase, these are Singapore's seven best yakiniku restaurants, with every buffet price, kids' rate and wastage rule read off the restaurants' own menus on 13 September 2026, plus the deals running now, including 10% off Yakiniku Like's sharing sets for members and BYOB at Tajimaya.

TenRen's Tea 913 King's Oolong Sharing Day: 2nd Cup 50% Off, 13-15 Sep 2026, but the Posts Never Name an Outlet
TenRen's Tea Singapore is marking 9/13 with a 913 King's Oolong Sharing Day from Sunday 13 to Tuesday 15 September 2026: buy any two selected 913 Series tea drinks and the second cup is 50% off, and selected 913 retail items (the King's Oolong loose tea, the King's Tea bags and the 913 Chaffee drip-bag coffee on the poster) are 10% off. On two cups of the same price that is 25% off the pair, not half. The part to check before you travel: the brand's own announcement names no participating outlet, while one deal site lists The Star Vista only. TenRen's last two promos said "available at ALL outlets" or named The Star Vista outright, and this one does neither, so call ahead if you are heading to Bras Basah Complex or Funan.

7-Eleven's $1 Deals, 9 to 22 Sep 2026: 19 Snacks and Drinks at a Dollar, but Two Are Priced in Pairs and the Store List Names Only 278 Outlets
7-Eleven's $1 Deals run 9 to 22 September 2026, and its own Exciting Offers page lists 19 lines at a dollar: roughly ten drinks, including Fuze Tea Jasmine Honey 500ml and both Pokka 500ml teas, and nine snacks, including Lay's Stax 42g and Meiji Hello Panda 50g. Two of the 19 are not a dollar each. Kinder Tronky T1 18g is 2 for $1, which is 50 cents a bar and the cheapest per-unit item on the poster, while Yami Croissant Assorted 85g is 2 for $2, so a single croissant is never priced at $1 at all. The bigger catch is where it runs: 7-Eleven prints "Applicable to certain items at selected stores only" and links a store list headed "Only $1 Promotion (Full Range Store List)" that names 278 outlets, against a chain its own company timeline says passed 400 stores in Singapore back in 2019. That list also carries its own date stamp, "Updated as of 27 October 2025", nearly a year before this promotion. No 7Rewards account or app scan is needed, and everything is while stocks last.

P1 Registration Changes From 2027: 60 Reserved Phase 2C Places, and a Two-Track Ballot at 12 Schools
The Ministry of Education announced on Thursday 10 September 2026 that it is changing the Primary One Registration Framework from the 2027 P1 Registration Exercise, which is the intake for children starting Primary 1 in 2028. Two things change. First, the number of reserved places in Phase 2C, the phase open to every child regardless of whether the family has any prior tie to the school, goes up from 40 to 60 in all schools except small-intake schools with fewer than 180 P1 places, which stay at 40. Phase 2B stays at 20. MOE says the extra 20 places come out of the earlier phases, so Phase 2A and 2B families keep their priority but have slightly fewer reserved places to draw on. Second, MOE is introducing a Two-Track Scheme in Phase 2C at 12 named schools, all of them in neighbourhoods where public housing makes up less than 40% of the homes within 2km. At those 12, Phase 2C places are split equally between a track for children living within 2km and a track for children living beyond 2km, and there is no home-school distance priority inside either track. If a track is oversubscribed by Singapore Citizen applicants, it goes to a ballot; if a track has places left over, they flow to citizen applicants in the other track. Nothing changes for the ongoing 2026 exercise, and Phases 1, 2A, 2B, 2C Supplementary and 3 are otherwise untouched.

Jewel's Canopy Park Is $4.80 After 5pm to 30 Sep 2026: That Is 40% Off the Gate Price, But a Singapore Resident Is Really Saving $1.20
Jewel Changi Airport has put a campaign called Evenings Made Better on its own Canopy Park promotions page: from 1 to 30 September 2026, anyone entering Canopy Park from 5pm pays $4.80. It is a flat rate, the same for an adult and a child, and on Jewel's published gate price of $8 that reads as 40% off. Read the same page's ticket table and the number shrinks. The Singapore-resident rate for the Canopy Park sole ticket is already $6, so a local saves $1.20 rather than $3.20, and CapitaStar and Changi Rewards members who buy at the Jewel concierge counters on levels 1 and 5 already pay $5.40, which makes their saving 60 cents. The promotion cannot be combined with any other discount, so nobody gets to stack. Two limits decide whether the trip works. The discount applies to the Canopy Park sole ticket only, which covers the Discovery Slides, Foggy Bowls, Petal Garden and Topiary Walk, and Jewel's terms specifically exclude every other individual attraction ticket and all four Bundle Deals, so the Mirror Maze, Hedge Maze, Canopy Bridge, Bouncing Net and Walking Net are not in it. And last admission is 30 minutes before closing, which is 8.30pm from Monday to Thursday and 9.30pm from Friday to Sunday, so a 9pm arrival on a weeknight buys nothing at all. With 10 September counted in, 21 evenings are left, 12 of them weeknights.

PUMA's 9.9 Sale: Code EXTRA15 Takes Another 15% Off 866 of 904 Listings, and the 38 It Skips Are All Speedcats and H-Streets
PUMA Singapore's own homepage sells its 9.9 sale as up to 50% off plus an extra 15% off with code EXTRA15, and both halves of that line need a footnote. We loaded every page of the sale grid on 8 September: 904 listings came back, 866 of them carry the EXTRA15 line and 38 do not, and the 38 are not random. They are the Speedcat and H-Street families, PUMA's two hottest lifestyle silhouettes, every one of them pinned at a flat 30% off with no code to add. The headline understates the other end, though. The deepest cut on the grid is 53%, not 50%, and 53% plus the code lands at 60% off list: the Army Trainer Sneakers are S$70.03 against a S$149 list price, or S$59.53 once EXTRA15 goes on. Here is which lines take the code, what the popular pairs actually cost after it, the S$75 free-shipping line and the number you need to clear it, and why this is the 9.9 sportswear sale still standing after Nike, adidas and Decathlon all close on 10 September.

POP MART's Free Photo Strip Starts Today: You Have to Buy the S$39.90 Nyota x Chibi Maruko Chan Pendant In Store, Not Online
POP MART Singapore opened a gift-with-purchase on its own Facebook and Instagram on 6 September: buy the Nyota x Chibi Maruko Chan Plush Doll Pendant in store and you get a photo-booth-style photo strip in the collab's artwork, free. Three details decide whether you actually get one. The word the brand used is in stores, so the same pendant bought on popmart.com/sg for LOCAL EXPRESS delivery earns nothing. The qualifying item is the S$39.90 pendant specifically, not the S$15.90 Nyota x Chibi Maruko Chan Series Figures blind box that launched alongside it. And POP MART has published no end date at all: the only limit given is while stocks last, first-come first-served, which on a Chibi Maruko Chan collab is a real constraint rather than boilerplate. The six participating shops are POP MART's entire Singapore store list, so there is no outlet to get wrong.

9 Best International Schools in Singapore 2026: Fees Compared, and the One-Off Costs Swing S$1,454 to S$15,156
Every international school in Singapore publishes an annual tuition figure, and every one of them charges something else on top that the figure does not include. We read the official fee schedules for all nine straight off the PDFs and fee pages rather than the comparison sites, first on 6 September 2026 and again on 16 and 29 September (open house dates re-checked 18 October), and the picture changes once the one-off money lands. Sticker tuition at primary level runs from S$21,760.25 a year at Middleton to S$49,040 at Stamford American, and the full range across all year groups is S$21,760 to S$58,080. The extras are where the schools separate: Middleton asks S$1,454 and nothing more, while UWCSEA adds S$627 application, S$4,992 enrolment and a S$9,537 first-year Development Levy, so S$15,156 before a single lesson. That levy is the one nobody quotes, because it does not stop: it drops to S$5,166 but is charged every year after. The result is a reversal. UWCSEA has the lowest sticker tuition of the five premium schools here (S$40,743 for Grades 2 to 5, below Tanglin's S$45,375 and CIS's S$41,840), yet it lands eighth of nine on first-year cash at S$55,899, fifteen dollars behind the Australian International School, which has since moved its published prices to the 2027 school year. Open house season runs to December: UWCSEA's first-round application deadline is 2 November, CIS holds campus mornings most Wednesdays from 21 October to 25 November, SJI International opens on 27 October, AIS and Stamford run online sessions from 29 October, One World opens its Nanyang campus on 21 November, and Tanglin and IFS have dated sessions through 11 December.

Flu Cases Are Rising and the 2026-27 Vaccine Is Late: MOH Says It Lands Early to Mid October, and Clinics Are Rescheduling Jabs
The Communicable Diseases Agency says influenza positivity jumped to 36.6% in the week of 16 to 22 August 2026, from 24.0% the week before. Four days later MOH said the 2026-2027 northern hemisphere flu vaccine, the one its Expert Committee on Immunisation calls the preferred vaccine, will only reach Singapore in early to mid October, about two weeks later than usual, because of an industry-wide delay over a two-strain change. Polyclinics and CHAS GP clinics are already calling patients to reschedule booked appointments. You can take the current southern hemisphere vaccine now, but then you must wait at least eight weeks for the newer one. The jab itself is capped at $0 for Healthier SG enrollees at their enrolled clinic, $9 for Pioneer Generation, $18 for Merdeka Generation and CHAS Blue or Orange, and $35 for everyone else.

Botanic Gardens & Fort Canning Heritage Festival 2026: 9 Days Free, 5 to 13 September
NParks is running a nine-day Heritage Festival across Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park from 5 to 13 September 2026, landing squarely on the September school holidays. More than 50 programmes, and nearly all of them free: four outdoor movies at the Eco-Lake Lawn (Lilo & Stitch on 12 September, Mulan on 13 September), a Xinyao concert at the Symphony Stage, a nightly Fungi After Dark light walk, a projection-and-audio quest at Fort Canning that ends with a gift, and a stamp trail that pays out a Gardens pin and a Fort Canning Centre centenary tote. One thing the write-ups gloss over: almost every workshop, tour, concert and screening runs on the four weekend dates only, 5, 6, 12 and 13 September. We read the official 57-page e-programme so you can plan the right days.

Sheng Siong Opens at Blk 905 Woodlands Ave 5 Today: 7 Days of Store-Only Prices to 16 Sep, and the Four Deepest Cuts Earn You No Free Gift
Sheng Siong opened its Blk 905 Woodlands Avenue 5 store on Thursday 10 September 2026 and put the full opening advertisement on its own corporate site the same day. The store is at #02-01, Singapore 730905, trades 7am to 11pm daily on 6514 8101, and sits beside Woodlands Square within walking distance of Causeway Point, the Woodlands temporary bus interchange and both Woodlands MRT stations. One red band across the sheet decides how you read every price on it: Exclusive @ Blk 905 Woodlands Avenue 5. This is a 7 Days Special, 10 to 16 September only, at one address. Two free gifts sit on single-receipt spends, a Homeniks dishwashing liquid worth $2.60 at $30 and a Softess 7+1 roll kitchen towel bundle worth $6.60 at $70, one redemption per receipt. Here is the trap the reposts drop. Cigarettes, liquors, Sheng Siong vouchers and infant milk powder stages 1 and 2 are all taken out of that spend, and the four deepest dollar savings on the entire sheet are alcohol: La Campagne wine at $31.80 for 2 against $59.54 saves $27.74, the Carlsberg carton at $41.80 saves $23.85, the Tiger carton at $40.80 saves $16.67 and Jinro soju at $8.25 saves $4.89. Build your basket around the biggest numbers on the page and you qualify for nothing. Two more things to plan around: beverage cartons are quoted before the BCRS 10c deposit, so the $10.95 Coca-Cola carton is $13.35 at the till, and the loyalty discounts are day-gated inside the window. This is the first Sheng Siong opening ad to print the new 6% CHAS rate rather than the old 4%, which puts CHAS Blue on the opening day itself.

Sheng Siong Opens at Rivervale Mall Today: 7 Days of Store-Only Prices to 10 Sep, and a $18.80 King Crab Cluster Against a $69.43 Usual
Sheng Siong opened its Rivervale Mall store on Thursday 4 September 2026, and posted the full opening advertisement to its own corporate site the same morning. The store is at 11 Rivervale Crescent #03-01, trades 7am to 11pm daily, and the ad prints one line that decides how you read every price on it: Exclusive @ 11 Rivervale Crescent, Rivervale Mall. This is a 7 Days Special, 4 to 10 September only, at one address. The headline is a Purchase-with-Purchase: every $88 spent lets you buy a Frozen Cooked King Crab Cluster 500/700 at $18.80 against a usual $69.43, capped at 4 pieces. Two free gifts sit on lower spends, a Softess kitchen towel at $30 and a 12-roll 4-ply tissue bundle at $70, one redemption per receipt, with cigarettes, liquor, Sheng Siong vouchers and infant milk powder stages 1 and 2 taken out of the spend. Three things the reposts drop. The 3-unit cap applies per product per customer per transaction, which matters because the deepest cuts on the sheet are multi-buys of two or three. The beverage cartons are quoted before the BCRS deposit, so the $10.95 Coca-Cola carton is $13.35 at the till and you get the $2.40 back when you return the cans. And the two loyalty discounts printed at the bottom are day-gated: seniors get 4% on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, CHAS Blue on Thursdays and CHAS Orange on Fridays, which inside this 7-day window means 8 and 9 September for seniors, 10 September for Blue and 4 September for Orange. The CHAS rate itself went up to 6% on 10 September 2026, so Blue cardholders shopping the last day get 6%, not the 4% printed on the ad.

Panda Planet Lands at River Wonders, 4 to 14 September: Included With Admission, and the School Holidays Do Not Make It Peak Price
Singapore is the first stop outside China for Panda Planet Immersive Experience, presented by CCTV.com's iPanda channel, running at River Wonders from 4 to 14 September 2026, 9am to 6pm daily with last entry at 5pm. It sits just outside the Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest, splits into a science zone, a Kai Kai and Jia Jia birthday zone and a mixed reality bamboo forest, and costs nothing beyond park admission. The birthday celebrations are the draw: Jia Jia's on Saturday 5 September and Kai Kai's on Sunday 13 September, both at 12pm, both included. The useful part is the pricing. River Wonders charges peak rates on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only, and MOE school holidays are explicitly not a peak trigger there, so the weekdays in the middle of the break, 7 to 11 September, stay at the local rate of S$35 an adult and S$26 a child rather than S$40 and S$29. Both birthday parties fall on peak days, which puts a family of four at S$138 on a party day against S$122 on a school holiday weekday. Neither party is on the actual birthday either: Jia Jia turned 18 on 3 September and Kai Kai turns 19 on 14 September, the exhibition's last day. And Le Le, whom the birthday zone updates you on, has been back in China since January 2024.

Sephora x Olive Young Lands in Singapore on 2 September 2026: the Singapore Edit Is 95 Products, Not 180
Sephora Singapore opens the OLIVE YOUNG K-Beauty Edit on Wednesday 2 September 2026, and its own site is already showing the range: 95 products from 12 Korean brands, priced $13 to $75, all marked Coming Soon. The figure every report is quoting, over 20 brands and 180+ products, covers Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand combined, so roughly half of it is not on the Singapore page. Three brands missing from the published lists are haruharu wonder, HEVEBLUE and Ma:nyo. Spend $65 on the Edit for an insulated tote (stores, app and online) or $40 at the ION Orchard Launchpad only for a Tyvek pouch, so the lower threshold is the one that needs the trip. And on Sephora own campaign banner, carried by no news report: Gold members get in from 8am with gifts for the first 200 customers at Sephora ION Orchard, two hours before that mall normally opens.

RWS 'School Holiday Treats for Little Ones' (5 to 30 Sep 2026): Five Restaurants Are Named, But RWS Publishes Neither the Kids' Offer Nor the Minimum Spend, and Two of the Five Have No Kids' Menu at All
Resorts World Sentosa has put a kids' dining campaign on its promotions page for the September school holidays. The key visual is headed 'School Holiday Treats for Little Ones!' and dates it 5 to 30 September 2026, and the promo page names five participating restaurants: KA-MON and Syun (Hotel Michael, Levels 1 and 2), Soi Social (Hotel Michael, Level 2), Ocean Restaurant (Equarius Hotel) and Table by Pierre Herme (WEAVE #01-234). What the page does not say is the part you need: it promises 'exclusive kids' dining offers' with 'a qualifying minimum spend by accompanying adults' and then never prints the offer or the spend, and neither do any of the five restaurants' own pages. So we priced the thing the campaign is actually giving away. Three of the five publish a kids' set: KA-MON's Little Samurai Box at $22++, Soi Social's three-course kids menu at $22++ and Syun's Nyanko Box at $35++, which is $26.38 and $41.97 nett. The other two, Ocean Restaurant and Table by Pierre Herme, publish no kids' menu at all. Every one of these sets is also gated at ages 5 to 12, so a four-year-old and a teenager are outside it. Here is what is verified, what is not, and the one question to ask when you call 6577 6688.

Yakiniku Like Takes 50% Off Its A5 Wagyu Set, 29 Aug to 28 Sep 2026: $12.95 for 150g of Miyazaki Wagyu Plus Rice and Soup, and It Beats the Brand's Own Monday Wagyu Deal by Half
Yakiniku Like Singapore's Members' Ni Ku Promo is back for the month, and this run is the good one: 50% off the A5 Wagyu Set 150g, usual price $25.90, so $12.95 before service charge and GST, or $15.53 on the bill. It runs 29 August to 28 September 2026 at all 13 outlets, it is for Foodie San members, and it needs a minimum spend of $40 nett. Two things nobody puts together. First, the brand's own menu prices its a la carte A5 Wagyu at $23.90 for 100g while this set gives you 150g plus rice, soup and a side for $25.90, so the set was already the better buy before the discount, and at half price it works out at $8.63 per 100g of wagyu against $16.73 per 100g on the Monday Daily Value Deal that takes 30% off that same a la carte plate. Second, the $40 bar is written nett, and the poster's own footer says prices attract a 10% service charge and prevailing GST, so a $40 nett bill is only about $33.36 of menu prices. Order $40 of menu-priced food and you clear it on either reading. Here is what the poster actually says, what it does not say, and where the 13 outlets are.

12 Teacher's Day Gifts in Singapore From Unity (2026), From $4.55: Eu Yan Sang Essence of Chicken Is Back at $27.90 Until 28 October
Teacher's Day 2026 was on Friday 4 September, but all 12 of Unity's gift picks are still on the shelf, so they work just as well for a late thank-you or an end-of-year card. The list spans four budgets, from a $4.55 Vaseline lip balm to a $51.95 Blackmores probiotic. Re-checked against FairPrice on 24 October, after most offers rolled over on 22 October: the halal-certified Eu Yan Sang Essence of Chicken 12-bottle pack is back at $27.90 until 28 October (the gift-box twin packs are full price again), Vita500 sticks drop to $13.90 and the Blackmores Multi Vitamins stays at $37.25 until 18 November, Vicks is $4.75 until 28 October, and the Blackmores Probiotics+ 40% offer has ended. Available at Unity and Unity in FairPrice stores; the next Teacher's Day is Friday 3 September 2027.

8 Best Coding & Robotics Classes for Kids in Singapore (2026): Four Now Publish Real Prices, From $31 an Hour, and Three Schools Other Roundups Still Rank Have Stopped Taking Enrolments
Search "coding classes for kids Singapore" and the first page hands you the same twenty names it handed you in 2023. We checked all of them against the schools' own websites on 28 August 2026, and three of the most-recommended are gone: First Code Academy's Singapore entity is struck off in ACRA and its domain now redirects to a parking lander; Saturday Kids' domain does the same and its facebook.com/saturdaykids handle has been released and reclaimed by an unrelated account; and SG Code Campus, ranked in almost every 2026 listicle as a top MOE-registered kids' school, now describes itself on its own homepage as an enterprise "applied-AI engineering and enablement company" serving government and academia. Of the eight schools still running, four now publish a real rate card, which is three more than when we first checked, and the order is not the one the roundups assume. Cheapest per hour is Empire Code at $31 to $38, depending on how many credits you buy and whether your child is already enrolled, with a 10-hour holiday camp at $350. Then Code Ninja at $39.63 to $46.33, its 1.5-hour classes sold as passes of 4, 5, 10 or 20 from $278 to $1,189. Then Nullspace Robotics at $45 to $52, with packages of 10 to 80 hours from $520 to $3,600. The Lab SG posts $60 to $70 a class plus an $80 registration fee, but does not publish the class length, so that is the one card you cannot convert to an hourly rate without asking. Coding Lab, Kodecoon, Lyza and LCCL still quote on enquiry, so the numbers other roundups print for those four are copies of copies. And the addresses in those roundups are wrong too: LCCL is at Forum Office Tower on Orchard Road, not Tanglin Shopping Centre; The Lab SG runs Kinex, Goldhill Plaza, Woods Square, Buangkok Square and, since October, Vision Exchange in Jurong East, not Wisteria and Centrepoint; Kodecoon now lists eight Singapore campuses, not five, its newest at City Square Mall; and Lyza has a second centre in Tampines that nobody lists.

Sephora's Beauty Pass Sale Runs to Sun 30 Aug — But Sephora's Own Terms Put the 20% Under "Gold Tier Members Only", the 500-Point 10% Perk Is Switched OFF All Week, and "Discounts Cannot Be Combined" Means Your 20% Never Touches the Up-to-50% Markdowns
Sephora Singapore's Beauty Pass Sale is live on sephora.sg until Sunday 30 August 2026, and the number everyone is reposting — up to 20% off, no minimum spend — is not the number most shoppers will get. Sephora's own Terms and Conditions, opened from the sale page itself, put all four headline benefits under one heading: Gold Tier Members Only. Gold gets 20% off the total purchase with no minimum spend, 30% off Sephora Collection, a limited-edition phone wristlet at $180 and a tote bag at $300, with early access from 24 August 10pm online and 25 August in stores. General access opens 25 August at 10pm per Sephora's own site banner — but Sephora has not published the White and Black rates on its own page, and the 10% and 15% figures circulating come from deal listings, not from Sephora. Three lines in the terms decide whether this sale is worth your evening. The footnote on Sephora's campaign artwork says discounts cannot be combined, and the terms confirm the tier discount is not valid on sale items — so your 20% and the up-to-50% Miss Markdowns clearance are mutually exclusive, not additive. The Ordinary and Dyson are excluded outright. And the standing Beauty Pass perk of 10% off for 500 points is explicitly unavailable during the sale period, which means a White member on 10% gains nothing this week that they could not already have had — while losing the version they controlled.

Châteraisé's Ice Cream Mix & Match Is Back (21–31 Aug 2026): Any 8 Bars for S$12 — $1.50 a Stick, With a Cooler Bag and Dry Ice Thrown In — or S$9 If You Bring Your Own Bag, Which Prices That Bag at Exactly $3 and Makes the Second Trip the Cheap One
Châteraisé Singapore has brought back its Ice Cream Mix & Match, and this run is eleven days long rather than the four-day National Day burst earlier in August: pick any eight ice bars for S$12, or S$9 if you turn up with your own Châteraisé cooler bag. Against the brand's own printed usual price of $13.30 to $15.70 for eight, the $12 tier saves between $1.30 and $3.70 (9.8% to 23.6%) — modest — while the $9 tier saves $4.30 to $6.70, which is 32.3% to 42.7% off. The gap between the two tiers is exactly $3, and that $3 is the S-size cooler bag, because the $12 price includes one along with dry ice. Since the promo runs for eleven days and the poster prints no per-customer cap, the sequence that actually maximises this is obvious once you see it: pay $12 on your first trip, keep the bag, then come back at $9 for the rest of the run. The line-up is also bigger than the five bars doing the rounds — Châteraisé's own poster shows nine: Juicy White Peach, Juicy Mango and Juicy Strawberry Ice Bars, a Chocolate Mint Bar, Chocolate Bucky Vanilla, Chocolate and Dry Mint, and two YATSUGATAKE milk bars. At $1.50 a stick — $1.13 if you have the bag — this is the cheapest branded ice cream per unit running in Singapore right now, under 7-Eleven's best Häagen-Dazs line at $1.83 a cup. Two things to check before you go: the offer is in-store only and appears nowhere on Châteraisé's own online-ordering store, and the brand's two official outlet lists disagree with each other, between them naming 38 Châteraisé-branded shops plus three that trade as YATSUDOKI and may not be included.

Goodwood Park's 25% Mooncake Early Bird Ends Sun 30 Aug — But You Must Collect By Then Too, 26 Days Before Mid-Autumn, and the Three Durian Headliners Are Excluded
Goodwood Park Hotel's Mid-Autumn Grandeur 2026 runs 16 August to 25 September, and its own promotions page carries four separate offers that almost every repost collapses into one number. The headline 25% early bird (30% for Hotel Gourmet Cardmembers, minimum two boxes) is real, but its terms attach a clock nobody quotes: collection or delivery is available from 16 to 30 August 2026 ONLY. Mid-Autumn 2026 falls on Friday 25 September. The hotel's own product notes advise eating snowskin mooncakes within three days and baked ones within five — so the 25% is a discount on mooncakes you eat in August, not a discount on your festival box. It also excludes exactly the four boxes Goodwood Park is famous for: 'Mao Shan Wang' Durian at $79, Black Thorn Durian at $92, the Premium Duo at $86 and the Classic Baked Mooncakes with Artisanal Tea Set at $76. For those, and for anyone buying for the festival itself, the better instrument is the 7-Day Bank Special the same page buries at the bottom — 20% off ALL mooncakes with Citi, DBS/POSB, Maybank, OCBC and UOB cards from 31 August to 6 September, with collection or delivery right up to 25 September. Waiting that one extra week beats the standing 15% bank rate by $3.95 on a Mao Shan Wang box and $4.60 on a Black Thorn. And the early bird is online-only: at The Deli and the eight shopping-mall stalls the only walk-in discount is 5%, on weekdays between 12pm and 2pm.

Ayam Brand Is Giving Out Free Pulled Chicken Croissants at 8 MRT Stops (22 Aug – 12 Sep 2026) — No Purchase, Just a Short Survey, and the Can Behind It Is Any 2 for $6.55 at FairPrice Till 2 Sep
Ayam Brand Singapore posted an eight-stop sampling roadshow to its own Facebook page on 19 August: turn up at the booth, complete a short survey, and you get a free pulled chicken croissant — no purchase, no minimum spend, while stocks last. The brand's own poster prints every stop and time, and there are only six stations involved because Jurong East and Tampines each get two visits: Bedok (Sat 22 Aug, 12pm), Yishun (Sun 23 Aug, 12pm), Jurong East (Wed 26 Aug, 11am and Sat 29 Aug, 12pm), Tampines (Wed 2 Sep, 11am and Sat 5 Sep, 12pm), Woodlands (Wed 9 Sep, 3pm) and Hougang (Sat 12 Sep, 12pm). The flavour being sampled is named on the second poster — Pulled Chicken Truffle Mayonnaise — and no end time or quantity is published anywhere, so "while stocks last" is the only clock that matters. The useful companion number: that exact can is $3.48 at FairPrice, and FairPrice's own promotion record has all seven Ayam Brand pulled chicken flavours on Any 2 for $6.55 from 20 August to the small hours of 3 September, so Wed 2 Sep is the last full day to pair it.

HSA's Own Test Results Are In: Sudan IV Found in Two Venus Beauty Batches of Medicube's Capsule Cream, Every Other Batch May Go Back On Sale
Singapore's Health Sciences Authority has published the result it promised, and it lands somewhere between the two stories that were being told. HSA tested samples of the Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream from all three companies marketing it here and detected minute amounts of Sudan IV in two samples sold by Venus Beauty (batch nos 2E122I.2E117I and 2E191G.2E193G), which it ordered recalled on 26 August. Sudan IV was not detected in the samples from APR SG or Rirora International, and the sale of unaffected batches may now resume. HSA's own words on the risk: the quantities are in minute amounts and are unlikely to pose any serious health risks from previous use, and no local adverse events have been reported. Two things the wire copy leaves out. First, HSA's suspension order actually dates to 31 July 2026, three weeks before it was reported. Second, all three companies must now have every batch tested by an accredited laboratory for the absence of Sudan IV, and file the reports with HSA, before any of it is supplied here. We checked both storefronts this afternoon: the cream is still missing from Medicube's own 66-item Singapore catalogue and from Venus Beauty's 23-item Medicube page.

8 Best Rock Climbing & Bouldering Gyms in Singapore 2026: Day Pass Prices From $12 to $35
Every climbing gym in Singapore sells the same thing, a day on a wall, and the price for it now runs from $12 to $35. Boulder Movement charges $35 at peak but $20 for the identical session between 11am and 4.30pm on a weekday. Boulder+ moved its day pass to $32 on 1 January 2026. Climb Central raised rates on 1 May 2026 and split them by outlet for the first time, so an adult entry is $27.30 at Novena and SAFRA Choa Chu Kang but $31.40 at The Kallang and Funan. Meanwhile Ground Up Climbing quietly sells the cheapest climb in Singapore ($12 for an under-18 on a weekday afternoon) and the cheapest unlimited membership at $65 a month, against $138 at Boulder Movement. If you have never climbed, the number that matters is not the day pass at all: fit · bloc sells first-timers three entries with shoes, harness and chalk for $55 against a $84 list price, which is $18.33 a visit. Every rate, opening hour and outlet below was read off each gym's own website, rates PDF or booking system on 13 October 2026, including one thing none of the roundups have noticed: BFF Climb's Tampines yo:HA outlet stays open until 3.15am on Fridays and Saturdays.

6 Best Holiday Camps in Singapore 2026 After the September Break: Year-End Prices Now Out at Four, Plus the Last October Weeks
Singapore's year-end school holidays run from Saturday 21 November to Thursday 31 December 2026, and four of our six camp providers have now published dates and prices, up from one on 29 September. We re-checked all six on their own sites on 16 October 2026. Empire Code is cheapest at $430 for five half-days from 23 November, Children's Worklab's full-day Xplorers weeks cost $599-$699, Newtonshow's Winter Camp is $730 a week or $500 with a voucher, and School of Robotics is back with full days from 24 November to 18 December at S$140-S$200 a day before GST. Wildlings and Whizz Kidz have no year-end prices yet. For October, the 19-23 October week is still open at Wildlings, Worklab, Empire Code and Whizz Kidz.

8 Best Art Jamming & Pottery Studios in Singapore (2026): Every Walk-In Price Compared, From a $39.90 Canvas to an $88 Dragon-Kiln Wheel Class
Art jamming and pottery are Singapore's easiest creative outings on a whim, but studios price them in ways that are hard to compare. We lined up 8 studios' first-timer prices, from Art Journey's $39.90 canvas and Taoz's $45 wheel trial to an $88 wheel workshop at Thow Kwang's dragon kiln, and flagged the two that take SG Culture Pass credits. Singapore Oceanarium turned one on 24 July, and the anniversary offer it put on its own ticketing page is the cheapest way a local group of three is getting through those doors this year: SG Residents Exclusive: Buy 2 Get 1 FREE — two Singapore Oceanarium One-Day Tickets plus one complimentary One-Day Ticket, listed from S$110. Against the S$55 adult one-day rate that is three people in for the price of two: S$55 saved, 33% off, and about S$36.67 a head. It has been quietly running since 8 July and it runs to 30 September 2026, which covers the whole September school holiday week. Three lines of the official terms decide whether it actually works for you, and none of them are in the headline. First: ALL ticket holders must be Singapore residents with an official Singapore photo ID, and ID is required at entry — so the free third ticket cannot go to the visiting cousin from KL, and a group of two locals plus one tourist is simply the wrong offer. Second: minimum 1 day advance booking is required, so this is not a deal you can act on this afternoon — the earliest you can use it is tomorrow. Third, and the one people will get caught by: the promotion is valid for purchases made between 8 July and 30 September 2026 FOR VISITS WITHIN THE SAME PERIOD — buying on 29 September does not buy you an October visit, and once the order is confirmed it is final, with no refunds, no exchanges and no date changes.

8 Best Preschools & Childcare Centres in Singapore 2026: Real Fees After the New ECDA Caps
Preschool fee caps dropped again on 1 January 2026: anchor operators are capped at $610 a month for full-day childcare and $1,235 for infant care, partner operators at $650 and $1,290, all before GST, for Singapore Citizen children. This guide compares 8 centres across all three tiers using the fees each publishes on its own site, from $664.90 with GST at PCF Sparkletots, E-Bridge and Skool4Kidz to $2,470 a month before GST at MindChamps. We also show what the $300 Basic Subsidy and the income-tiered Additional Subsidy take off, and why the Additional Subsidy ceiling rising from $12,000 to $15,000 on 1 January 2027 matters for a January start.

8 Best Music Schools in Singapore 2026: Piano, Violin, Guitar and Vocal Lesson Fees Compared
Almost every music school in Singapore hides its fees behind an enquiry form, which makes comparing them close to impossible. We did the digging, and the usual quoted floor of $225 a month turns out to be wrong: Ossia publishes a full 2026 rate card starting at $129 a month for keyboard and $175 for beginner piano, violin, guitar or drums, GST and facility fees included. Against that, Aureus is $279, Studio 72 $280 and Mandeville $225 to $706, while Cristofori publishes no rate card at all and only its own campaign artwork gives the game away, at a usual price of $229 for four 30-minute lessons. This guide has the published fees for 8 established schools, what violin and guitar actually cost grade by grade, the registration fees and deposits nobody mentions until you are at the front desk, every branch as at October 2026, and the make-up-lesson policies that matter more than the fee gap: Yamaha replaces no missed lesson at all, while Ossia gives you one a month. Cristofori's August festival prices have ended with nothing in their place, while Ossia now runs an October-only offer: enrol in October for 2 free lessons plus retail vouchers. Six of the eight still run a genuinely free trial lesson.

Mega Beauty Festival @ Singapore Expo Hall 6A — 500+ Beauty Brands at Up to 90% Off, FREE Entry, 10am–9pm — But It Runs TWO Separate Weekends (14–16 & 21–23 Aug) and Is CLOSED 17–20 Aug
Joe's Outlet's Mega Beauty Festival lands at Singapore Expo Hall 6A this Friday, and it is the biggest free-entry beauty sale left on the 2026 calendar: 500+ beauty brands with up to 90% off, open 10am–9pm daily, no admission fee. The brand wall on the official site is genuinely deep — Laneige, Sulwhasoo, Beauty of Joseon, Anua, Abib, Medicube, Numbuzin, TIRTIR, Torriden, SKIN1004, Round Lab, Dr.Jart+, Banila Co, Mediheal, Rejuran and CNP on the K-beauty side; Estée Lauder, Clinique, Origins, La Mer, Lancôme, NARS, MAC, Urban Decay, Drunk Elephant, EVE LOM, Caudalie, Bioderma, CeraVe and SK-II on the prestige side; plus a wall of fragrance houses (Burberry, Bvlgari, Prada, Versace, Givenchy, Kenzo, Issey Miyake, Le Labo, Penhaligon's, Narciso Rodriguez) and new Trending China Beauty and luxury/premium segments. The catch most people will get wrong: this is NOT a ten-day sale. It runs Fri–Sun 14–16 August, then SHUTS for four days, and reopens Fri–Sun 21–23 August. Spend over S$300 and you're in the grand draw — first prize is a Dongfeng BOX car listed at $111,000 before COE, with 2 iPhone 17 Pros, 3 Dyson vacuums, AirPods Pro 3, Dyson hair dryers and POP MART sets under it, drawn on the closing Sunday at 8pm.

7-Eleven 'Icy Treats' (12–25 Aug 2026): Häagen-Dazs Mini Cups 3 for $11 & Stickbars 3 for $10 (45% Off), Magnum 3 for $10 With the Dubai Pistachio & Kunafa Exclusive, Cornetto Royale 4 for $9
7-Eleven's new two-week ice cream run started today and it is the strongest freezer deal on the island right now — nine offers, up to 45% off, from 12 to 25 August 2026. The headline savings are all Häagen-Dazs: Mini Cups (100ml) at 3 for $11 against a $6.70 usual price — $3.67 a cup instead of $6.70 — and Stickbars (80ml) at 3 for $10 against $6.10 each, both a straight 45% off. The Devil Whisper Choco Mini Cup and the new Crispy Sandwich are $4 each (U.P. $6.90, 42% off). Magnum is 3 for $10 (U.P. $4.70 each) and the poster names the Dubai Pistachio & Kunafa bar as a 7-Eleven exclusive alongside Matcha Crumble and Almond. Cornetto Royale is 4 for $9 (U.P. $3 each), Ben & Jerry's cups are 2 for $7.50 (U.P. $6.20 each) and Wall's Toy Story pops are 2 for $4.50. The quiet best-value line nobody reads: the Häagen-Dazs 6 x 75ml Mini Cups box at $11 works out to $1.83 a cup — less than half the price of the same brand's 3-for-$11 minis.

After the September School Holidays 2026: 5 Things to Do With Kids in Singapore This October, from a New History Gallery to $8 Science Centre Combos
Term 4 has been running since 14 September, so this list now covers only what you can still book with kids in October. Snow City closed for good on 30 September and has been removed, and Jewel's September bundle and $4.80 evening rate ended the same day. Five things remain. The National Museum's revamped Singapore History Gallery reopens on 10 October, free for citizens and PRs. Jewel has a Mastercard Maze Bundle from $24 adult and $16 child for 1-31 October. The Palawan's Play and Dine bundles run to 31 December, the Science Centre's resident combo is $8 on weekdays, and Harry Potter: Visions of Magic still takes 20% off between 6 and 8pm. Re-checked on each venue's own site on 3 October.

8 Best Confinement Food Delivery Services in Singapore 2026: 28 Days of Lunch and Dinner From S$1,478, Halal From S$1,550
ReLacto and Mama J's, which this guide listed until now as 'priced on enquiry', both publish full price ladders, and ReLacto's is the lowest 28-day package here: S$1,478 for lunch and dinner, or S$26.39 a meal. We re-read all eight providers' own order pages, booking forms and product pages on 14 October 2026. Ummu Fazwill's halal 30-day set is still the lowest per meal at S$1,550, NouRiche is S$1,660 with its early bird, Chilli Padi is S$1,736.60 now that its EB5OFF code is back, Tian Wei is S$1,740 and Mama J's is on sale at S$1,988. Also inside: trial meals from S$35, and the delivery surcharges that add about S$305 to a month in the CBD.

iShopChangi's SG61 Sale Runs on Two Clocks: the 12% & 15% Sitewide Codes DIE TONIGHT (10 Aug) — But the $20 Otter Hunt, HSBC's $40 Off and 6,100 LoveSG Points Run to 31 Aug
iShopChangi's National Day campaign looks like one sale but it is really two, and the half worth the most money ends tonight. The two sitewide codes — 12FLY88 (12% off, min. spend S$150, capped at S$50) and 15FLY88 (15% off, min. spend S$450, capped at S$120) — are both marked 'Valid till 10 August 2026' on Changi's own campaign page, as is the Maybank Samsung code MBSAMSUNG30 (S$30 off, min. S$300). What survives into the rest of the month: HSBC's AUGHSBC40 (S$40 off, min. spend S$400), the beauty code 25BFLY88 (25% off, min. spend S$750, capped at S$300), 6,100 Changi Rewards points (worth about S$31 in rebates) when you spend at least S$250 on LoveSG homegrown brands in a single transaction, and the campaign's oddest freebie — an Otter Hunt that hides a cartoon otter carrying a S$20-off code, no minimum spend, on selected LoveSG product pages at 12pm and 3pm on 12, 19 and 26 August. Here is what each one actually requires, and where the traps are.

Sephora's National Day Campaign Runs on TWO Clocks: 15% Off With $100 Spend + a Heart-Shaped Sling Bag at $200 (BEAUTY PASS, TILL 11 AUG) — Then the Free 'Orh Orh' Enamel Cup at $120 Runs All the Way to 29 Aug
Sephora's SG61 campaign is really two promotions wearing one banner, and they end nearly three weeks apart. The headline act is the Beauty Pass National Day Sale — 15% off with a minimum spend of $100, valid online and in-store, plus a limited-edition heart-shaped sling bag once you cross $200 — and Sephora's own campaign artwork prints the deadline plainly: NOW ON TILL 11 AUG. The quieter half runs far longer: spend $120 in a single transaction on the Sephora online store, the app, or at Sephora ION Orchard, and you can redeem a limited-edition Sephora x Maddie enamel cup — the 'Orh Orh' one, illustrated with a woman mid-skincare-routine — one per Beauty Pass member, while stocks last, from 8 to 29 August. There's also an in-app Singapore Snack-Down: vote once for White Rabbit, Haw Flakes, Iced Gems or Ding Dang and you get 58 Beauty Pass Points, a free Sephora canvas bag and $10 off in-app with the code SNACKDOWN. If you were going to buy beauty this month, the move is to spend before 11 Aug — that's the only window where the 15% and the $120 cup overlap.

Penang Culture Is Selling EIGHT Signature Dishes at $6.10++ for SG61 — Assam Laksa to King of Cendol, But It's Compass One Only, It Ends Sunday, and the '++' Makes Each Plate About $7.31
Halal Penang-cuisine chain Penang Culture has priced its National Day menu to the year: eight signature dishes at $6.10++ each, under a campaign it calls 'Majulah Makan'. Its own poster names all eight — Assam Laksa, Nasi Lemak, 3L Bandung, Signature Wrapped Otah, Mentaiko Squid You Tiao, Cuttlefish Kang Kong, King of Cendol and Kueh Pie Tee — which is unusually generous for a $6.10 promo, because it spans mains, sides, a drink and two desserts rather than one loss-leader dish. Two things the reposts flatten. First, the poster is outlet-specific: it reads 'COMPASS ONE, 1 - 9 AUGUST 2026', so this is not the islandwide chain deal it looks like — Penang Culture's Changi Airport T1 outlet runs its own shorter window on selected favourites from 7 to 9 August. Second, that '++' is doing real work: at the usual 10% service charge and 9% GST, $6.10++ lands at about $7.31 a plate, and the full eight-dish sweep is roughly $58.51, not $48.80. The brand's own fine print adds the sting: it cannot be used with other promotions, discounts, offers, privileges or discount and cash vouchers, and it 'will not be accepted after the completion of the sales transaction' — so you have to claim it before the bill is closed, not after.

9 Best Physiotherapy Clinics in Singapore 2026: Real Prices From $180, and the Cheapest Route at $0
Physiotherapy is the one health service in Singapore where nobody runs a $29 trial. The clinics that publish a price sit in a tight band: heal360 $180 and Edge Healthcare $185 before GST, Core Concepts a flat $207.10 with shockwave and dry needling included, Physio & Sole from $210 before GST, Apex $212.55 with GST. The cheapest route is NTUC Health's subsidised community rehab from $0 a session, but only with a referral.

8 Best Chiropractors in Singapore 2026: Cheapest First Visits From $29, Sessions From $65
Every chiropractic clinic in Singapore now leads with a cheap first visit ($29, $68, $88, $99) and the numbers are real. What almost nobody tells you is what each one actually buys, or what you pay from visit two onwards. Chiropractic Singapore's $29 spinal check-up (code PAINFREE29, U.P. $105) excludes X-rays AND the first adjustment, and the clinic states it performs no adjustments at all on a first visit, so you leave with a report and a quote rather than treatment. Live Well's $68 nett does include a treatment on the day, and it publishes the cheapest ongoing rate we found anywhere: $100 for a single adjustment afterwards, falling to $65 to $85 a session on a treatment plan. Life Chiropractic Centre's October offer cuts its usual $138 first visit to $99, still covering two visits including X-rays and the first adjustment, with follow-ups at $110. Total Health's $99 (U.P. $309) includes X-rays and an adjustment in one sitting. The other thing worth knowing before you book anyone: chiropractors are NOT registered under Singapore's Allied Health Professions Act (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, diagnostic radiographers and radiation therapists are), so there is no government register to check, and credential-checking falls to you. We verified the current first-visit price, the ongoing rate, what each one includes, the addresses and the opening hours for eight practices.

SG Science Fest 2026: Science Centre Is Free for Singaporeans & PRs, 8–10 Aug — But You Must Book a Timed Slot First (ONE Ocean Bundle $9, +Omni-Theatre $12)
Science Centre Singapore is throwing its doors open for the National Day long weekend: SG Science Fest 2026 runs 8 to 10 August 2026, 10am to 6pm daily, and festival admission is complimentary for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. The part most roundups skip is the one that will actually stop you at the gate — this free ticket is not walk-in. Science Centre's own guide says tickets must be booked online in advance, quantities are limited, and entry is by time slot: 10am–12pm, 12pm–2pm or 2pm–4pm. Once you're in, you can stay until the 6pm close. Free gets you the human-vs-robot science show, both waterplay games, the Shipwrecked mystery quest (with an exclusive enamel pin if you do it on 8–10 Aug), all the hands-on marine-science stations, the Bazaar, a pasar-malam Food Street and a kampung games corner. The paid top-ups are genuinely cheap for locals: SG Science Fest + ONE Ocean at $9 (U.P. $24), or + Omni-Theatre at $12 (U.P. $32), with Escape @ Science Centre at $13.50 and Laser Maze at $4. Two things to watch: the popular shows and both water games are booked onsite at booking stations, not online — and Annual Pass members still have to pre-book a $0 admission ticket through the Discount Store.

7 Best Indian Restaurants in Singapore 2026: MICHELIN Star Picks, Fish Head Curry & Banana Leaf
The MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2026 landed on 4 August, and Indian food came out of it well: Thevar holds Two Stars, while Muthu's Curry, Bismillah Biryani and Lagnaa all carry the Bib Gourmand. We've paired those with the banana-leaf institutions that made Singapore's Indian food scene what it is: The Banana Leaf Apolo (fish head curry since 1974), Samy's Curry at Dempsey, and Chettinad specialist Anjappar. Verified addresses, hours, rest days and real prices, from a $7 masala dosa to a $298++ tasting menu, plus the halal facts most guides get wrong.

Child Concession Card Singapore 2026: How Kids Under 7 Ride Public Transport for Free (Cost, How to Apply & When It Expires)
In Singapore, young children ride public transport free — but there are two different rules depending on your child's height. Kids under 0.9m travel free automatically when they're with a fare-paying adult, no card needed. Once your child is 0.9m or taller (but still below 7 and not yet in primary school), you'll need a Child Concession Card to keep riding free. It's a stored-value card that costs $5 plus a $3.10 personalisation fee (both non-refundable), applied for at any SimplyGo Ticket Office, and it gives free travel on MRT, LRT and basic bus services — just not Express, Premium or City Direct buses. The card stays valid until 30 April of the year your child turns 7, which is when they move over to a primary-school student card.

Sanrio's Hello Kitty × Merlion EZ-Link Card Is Here — $10 From Vending Machines, Part of the 'Hello Singapore' Series (Marina Square Pop-Up Till 16 Aug)
Hello Kitty fans, this one's hard to resist: a new Sanrio × Merlion SimplyGo EZ-Link card — Hello Kitty under a little red polka-dot umbrella beside the Merlion — is out at EZ-Link vending machines in malls for $10 each. It's the latest design in the ongoing 'Hello Singapore' Sanrio × Singapore Icons line (which already includes bus stop, kaya toast, HDB and dragon playground designs). One thing to know before you tap: the card comes with NO stored value, so you top up before your first ride — but it's a fully usable commuter card, not just a shelf collectible. There's also a free 'Hello Singapore' Sanrio pop-up at Marina Square (Level 2, Marina Foyer) now till 16 August 2026, with Mr. Merlion plushies, tees, blind boxes and a Kuji lucky draw.

8 Best TCM Clinics in Singapore 2026: Prices Compared, and Where the First Consultation Is $0
TCM pricing in Singapore is unusually opaque: the same 30-minute acupuncture session can cost $8 at a charity clinic in Toa Payoh or $262 at a mall clinic in Orchard, and almost nobody publishes a straight comparison. We pulled the 2026 fee tables off eight registered clinics' own websites and lined them up. Three things came out of it. FIRST, the free tier nobody advertises: four of the eight will see you for $0 on a first visit, all year round. Eu Yan Sang waives the consultation entirely for EuRewards members (free to join through its Doctor Sinseh app), Parkway Plus members and PAssion Silver or Platinum cardholders; NovaHealth runs a complimentary first consultation through its ConsultNova callback form; Ma Kuang's new Raffles Place clinic gives a free 10-minute consultation off-peak; and Beijing Tong Ren Tang has consulted free every first Saturday of the month for years. That matters more now the August promotions have gone: Eu Yan Sang's SG61 $6.10 consultation ended on 31 August, and it was the only route here an existing patient could use, while these four member and callback routes are all new-patient routes that run into 2027. SECOND, two of the big chains quietly run two rate cards. A single-area acupuncture is $54.50 at a Ma Kuang TCM clinic and $90 at a Ma Kuang Holistic one, and Eu Yan Sang's Premier centres charge up to $110 for a first consultation against $25 at an ordinary clinic, which is also where every card discount is barred. THIRD, the cheapest option all year is not a promo: Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution, a registered charity with six clinics, collects $11 up front of which only the $3 registration is non-refundable, because the consultation itself is free and the $8 is offset against your treatment or refunded the same day. Below: what each clinic publishes, every outlet address, which trials died with August, and which offers still run to November.

7 Best Foot Massage & Reflexology Places in Singapore (2026): Real Price Lists From $28, Orchard to 24-Hour
Seven foot massage and reflexology picks in Singapore with real prices read off each business's own site: an hour runs from $40 at Cosmo Medical Spa to $98 at Kenko, and 30 minutes starts at $28. Natureland's free herbal foot bath runs to 31 December 2026, Syoujin charges $33 nett, and An Qi Spa on Beach Road is open 24 hours.

McDonald's Spider-Man Happy Meal — 10 Collectible Mini Backpacks, a New Pair Every Thursday 11am (9 Jul – 12 Aug 2026); Week 4 Drops Today
McDonald's Singapore has tied its Happy Meal to Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in cinemas TODAY (30 July 2026) — and the campaign runs 9 July to 12 August 2026. Every Happy Meal comes with a choice: one of 10 collectible Spider-Man mini-backpack toys, or a Happy Meal Readers book ("Swing Into Action With Spider-Man"). The toys drop two at a time, a new pair every Thursday at 11am, and today is Week 4 — the Green & Purple Spider Backpack and the Red Spider-Man Backpack, running 30 July to 5 August. One pair is left after that: the Black Spider-Man Heart Backpack and Pink Spider-Man Backpack, 6–12 August. The catches are the usual collectible ones and McDonald's prints them itself: toys and books are while stocks last, can't be bought separately from a Happy Meal, are non-exchangeable, and in the event of high demand McDonald's will substitute an alternative "surprise" toy instead. Happy Meal prices also vary by restaurant. Here's the full week-by-week toy calendar and the fine print.

Shangri-La & JEN Hotels Mark SG61 — 'Celebrate Singapore' Staycation Package + $80 of Dining/Attraction Vouchers for $61 (August 2026)
For Singapore's 61st National Day, Shangri-La Group is running special stay, dining and leisure offers across its Singapore hotels — Shangri-La Singapore, Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, JEN Singapore Tanglin, JEN Singapore Orchardgateway and The Palawan @ Sentosa. The headline value pick: dining and attraction vouchers offering SGD80 worth of experiences for SGD61, on sale via the Shangri-La E-Boutique throughout August 2026. There's also a 'Celebrate Singapore: Breakfast and Beyond' room package (book by 31 August, stay till 30 November 2026). Here's what's on.

Wild Wild Wet 'Birthday Splash Fest' — August Babies Get In FREE, Tickets Drop to $22/$16 Off-Peak (1–31 Aug 2026)
Wild Wild Wet is stacking three birthdays into one August: SG61, the water park's own 22nd anniversary, and mascot Flumi's birthday. The headline is genuinely free entry for anyone born in August — a peak-day Adult pass is $39, so that's real money — but read the cap before you plan around it: free admission is limited to the first 50 guests on Peak days and the first 100 on Off-Peak days, online purchase only, verified at the entrance. Everyone else gets cheaper tickets too: the campaign poster prices Off-Peak at $22 Adult / $16 Child and Peak at $35 Adult / $25 Child, against standard board rates of $29/$21 and $39/$29. Add a free balloon between 5–6pm on August weekends and 50% off all Wild Wild Wet T-shirts (U.P. $35). One catch worth knowing before you book a weekday: the park is closed on Tuesdays.

8 Best Nail Salons in Singapore (2026): Full Manicure and Pedicure Price List, First-Timer Gel Manicure From $12.90, Express From $15
A manicure in Singapore runs from about $13 for a 10-minute one-step gel service to $150 for a full gel mani-pedi combo, and the single biggest saving is the one almost every salon runs but rarely advertises: a first-trial rate for new customers. We compared 8 salons with prices published on their own websites: for Duchess, by Duke (first-timer one-step gel manicure $12.90, the cheapest gel on this list), Shimmer & Shine (9 heartland outlets, cheapest walk-in manicure at $15), Twenty Nails (first-trial mani-pedi combos from $48), Nails & Good Company (less-toxic gel, first trial from $35), Nail Palace (23 outlets, the biggest chain), N20 Nail Spa (7 mall outlets, whole price list raised in 2026), Princess's Cottage (4 outlets, three separate price menus, first-trial classic gel manicure $21.80 w/GST) and The Nail Social (20% off your first visit, plus a published kids' menu from $15). Outlets, opening hours, men's and children's rates, and what each is actually best for.

Burger King's Rendang Range Is Back for SG61 — Three Rendang Burgers From 28 July 2026, Plus a $6.10 Rendang Burger + Milo Deal on 11–16 August
Burger King Singapore has switched its homepage over to a 2026 'Taste of Singapore' campaign, and the headline is the return of the Rendang line-up: Double Rendang Beef, Rendang Tendergrill Chicken and Rendang Spicy Chicken King, all live from 28 July 2026 while stocks last. Riding with it is a full sides-and-desserts board that BK has priced on its own artwork — Cempedak Mochi Bites (5pcs) at $4.80, a Chrysanthemum Cream Cheese Pie at $2.90, Yuzu Cheesecake at $4.90, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks (4pcs) at $5, BK Nuggets (6pcs) with a Rendang dip at $5.50, and a 4-in-1 Snack Box with the mochi bites at $14. The Milo choco-malt desserts are the cheap thrill: a Cone at $1.80, Sundae $2.90, Affogato $4.20 and Float $4.90 — though BK's own footnote says those are at selected stores only. The dated bit worth diarising is the National Day tie-in: a $6.10 Rendang Deal pairing a single Rendang Beef Burger with a small iced Milo, reported to run 11–16 August 2026 with promo code SG61YAY at the kiosk or in the BK App. One caveat we'll be straight about: BK has not published an a la carte price list for the three burgers on its own site, so those you confirm at the counter.

Popeyes 'Singapore Heartbeat' — New Mala Honey Hae Bee Hiam Chicken From $7.10, Plus 1-for-1 on Grab & 50% Off on foodpanda Till 16 Aug 2026
Popeyes Singapore has put a National Day flavour on its Louisiana chicken: Mala Honey Hae Bee Hiam — numbing mala heat, honey sweetness and dried-shrimp sambal, glazed over the signature crispy bird. The range is live now on Popeyes' own ordering site: 1pc from $7.10, the Chicken Sandwich from $10.90, Loaded Mala Honey Hae Bee Hiam Fries $8.50, a 6pc bucket from $33.80, the sandwich set $14.50, the 2pc set $15.50 and the Chicken Box (chicken + sandwich + mashed potatoes + the new Watermelon Fizzy Pop) at $19.90. Running alongside it is the bit worth acting on: a 'Singapore Heartbeat' delivery sale on Grab and foodpanda from 8 July to 16 August 2026, daily from 10am — 1-for-1 on Grab and 50% off on foodpanda across six items including the Loaded Mala Honey Hae Bee Hiam Fries, the Signature Chicken Sandwich, the Hainanese Chicken Fragrant Rice Kick Bowl, Chicken Shepherd's Pie, the Chicky Chick Spaghetti Bolognese Bowl and Loaded Seaweed Nacho Cheese Fries, while promotional stocks last. And because the campaign artwork's own fine print says the offer is 'not valid in conjunction with any other promotions, discounts or privileges', it will not stack with Popeyes' weekly in-store deals — which are also worth knowing: 7pc Buttermilk Tenders Bucket $10.90 (U.P. $16.80) every Monday, a 4pc Louisiana Chicken Bucket at $10 every Wednesday, the $15 Popeyes Week Bucket Set (U.P. $30.60) from the 20th to 26th of every month, and the all-day POWER Mix & Match four-course combo from $9.50. One allergen note the marketing does not lead with: hae bee hiam is dried shrimp, and the poster carries a seafood allergen flag.

6 Best Self-Photo Studios and Photo Booths in Singapore (2026): $10 for Two Strips, Compared on Price, Outlets and Opening Hours
Two printed photo strips cost $10 at almost every walk-in booth in Singapore, so what separates Solace, Life4Cut, Dollop, Fotomat, Hana Film and Standard Photo Studio is where they are and when they close. We compare all six on price, outlet count and opening hours, from 24-hour booths at Cineleisure, Clarke Quay and Changi T3 to private self-shoot studios from $30, re-checked on each studio's own site on 23 October 2026.

6 Best Yoga Studios in Singapore (2026): New-Student Offers Compared, From a Free First Class to 7 Days Unlimited for $49
Singapore's yoga scene runs from sweaty hot-room studios to serene luxury sanctuaries, and almost every studio lets you try it cheap before committing. The catch is that the new-student offers come in different shapes (a free first class, a single-class taster, or the best value of all, an unlimited-for-7-days pass), so they aren't comparable until you line them up. We rounded up 6 well-known Singapore yoga studios and put every first-timer deal side by side: Yoga Movement gives your first class free with your first Class Pack and has the widest spread at 9 studios; Hom Yoga and Freedom Yoga both run 7-day unlimited trials at $49; Pure Yoga (now a 1-week unlimited trial pass for $60) and COMO Shambhala Singapore anchor the premium end; and Real Yoga still offers a free trial class at its Raffles City and Toa Payoh studios. Every offer, price and outlet list below was re-checked against each studio's own website in October 2026, which is how we caught that Hom Yoga is closing (Orchard from 15 November 2026, River Valley on 21 March 2027), Pure's Suntec City club has closed and COMO Shambhala has moved out of Delfi Orchard. If you'd rather pay nothing at all, we've also added where to find genuinely free yoga classes in Singapore through the Healthy 365 app and ActiveSG.

6 Best Facials in Singapore 2026: Facial Trial Deals From FREE, Hydrafacial From $68, For Acne, Bacne, Pigmentation & Sensitive Skin
Booking your first facial or switching salons? The smartest way in is a first-trial deal: a heavily discounted one-off session that lets you test a salon before committing to a package. We rounded up 6 of Singapore's best-known facial salons for 2026, each with a current, verified first-trial offer: My Cozy Room's award-winning Ultimate Pore Extraction Facial (120 min) at $144 (U.P. $338), Indulgence Beauty's Signature Acne Extraction Facial at $93 (U.P. $193, Mon–Fri daytime only), Shakura's Pigmentation Facial Therapy FREE (worth $300) for new customers, Caring Skin's first trials from $63.22 (45-min LumiCare Peel, U.P. $196.20) up to its CS-Hydra Mesotherapy Facial (90 min) at $139.52 (U.P. $346.62), Bio Aesthetic's HydraPeel / Hydrafacial from $68, and ESTHECLINIC's non-invasive French medi-facial at 50% off your first session. For each we explain what it does best, which skin concern it suits, the outlets, and the honest catch with trial deals (the upsell). We also break down what a hydrafacial actually costs in Singapore: Bio Aesthetic's $68 headline is the 30-minute Express tier, with the same listing running up to $199 for the 60-minute Hydrafacial MD Platinum, and the non-trial repeat price for those same tiers is $198–$468. Then there's where to go for back acne, since bacne is priced separately from face treatments everywhere (ESTHECLINIC's Back Acne & Scar Removal Programme starts at $128), and whether you can get a Korean 'glass skin' facial here (Bio Aesthetic's BB Glow, $168 for the face or $128 for neck or underarms). Prices and terms are set by each salon and can change, so confirm before booking.

Tajimaya Yakiniku 'SG61 Prestige Miyazaki Set' — A5 Miyazaki Striploin + Australian Wagyu + Free-Flow Sides & Dessert for $61++ (Till 15 Aug 2026)
Tajimaya Yakiniku has built its National Day set around the number 61: the SG61 Prestige Miyazaki Set is $61++ and stacks two premium cuts you'd normally pay a lot more for individually. You grill 60g of A5 Miyazaki Striploin — the top grade of Japanese wagyu — alongside 60g of Australian Wagyu Short Ribs over the restaurant's Japanese binchotan charcoal, and the price also carries free-flow miso soup, garlic rice, wafu salad and Japanese appetisers, plus one dessert per person to close. It runs from 1 July to 15 August 2026, dine-in only, at Tajimaya's single Great World outlet (#B1-115, 1 Kim Seng Promenade), and cannot be combined with other promotions or vouchers. Prefer volume over prestige cuts? A separate Premium Dinner Buffet Flash Sale drops the usual $69.90++ dinner buffet to $61++, but only on 3–6 August. Reservations are recommended.

7 Best Optical Shops & Eyewear Stores in Singapore (2026): Cheapest Glasses, Designer Frames, Opticians & Kids' Myopia
Buying glasses in Singapore is less about the frame than about which shop you walk into. We compare 7 of the best optical shops and eyewear stores, re-checked against every retailer's own website on 12 October 2026, and one deal everyone still quotes is gone. OWNDAYS remains the all-in value pick: $98 with high-index lenses included, most pairs in about 20 minutes, 41 stores, and Enhanced Progressive Lenses thrown in free, which makes a complete pair of varifocals the cheapest in Singapore. Lenskart has flipped back: SALE60 is on most Essentials tiles again, $40 with lenses against a $100 list, while frames tagged BUY1 take a flat 40% off ($60), across 30 stores. Zoff is still $98 all-in and ready in half an hour, but its own store locator is now down to 3 shops. Spectacle Hut has the designer wall (34 outlets, Ray-Ban, Prada, Cartier, Tom Ford, plus Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta), and its True Second Pair Guarantee of 50% off a second pair is published again. Capitol Optical is the 1968 heritage name with 17 stores and its own myopia programme, W Optics is the contact lens, Ortho-K and vision-therapy specialist across 13 outlets, and Better Vision is the pick for children's myopia with an $890 two-year package and 2 pairs from $128.

8 Best Furniture Shops in Singapore (2026): Which Furniture and Sofa Sales Are Running in October, From Castlery's $770-Off Anniversary Sale to Commune's 63% Off
We re-checked all eight of Singapore's biggest furniture names on their own websites on 18 October 2026, and four have moved since late September. Castlery's Anniversary Sale runs to 25 October, with $120 off $1,500 up to $770 off $7,000 for everyone. HipVan has swapped FURNISHMORE for a 10.10 code, 1010SALE, worth up to $450 off $3,000 until 19 October. Commune's 68%-off section has gone, so its deepest cut is now the Linate dining table at $1,099 (U.P. $2,999, 63% off). Four Star ran a Year-End Sale at its Kallang flagship from 14 to 18 October (up to 85% off). Still live: Cellini's 40th Anniversary sale with sofas from $890 and no end date, Scanteak's Autumn Savings to 25 October, and IKEA's October IKEA Family offers to 31 October, with the white MALM 4-drawer chest at $99 (U.P. $159). Here is who is cheapest for what, where to buy a sofa, and the delivery thresholds that decide the price you actually pay.

Mandai's Local-Exclusive 2-Attractions Pass — Singapore Zoo + Bird Paradise $69 (U.P. $88), Kids $49, Till 31 August 2026
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is running a locals-only bundle that quietly beats every single-park ticket price: the 2-Attractions Pass lets you pick Singapore Zoo or the newly expanded Rainforest Wild Adventure as your main park, add a second attraction, and pay one discounted price for a single day. Singapore Zoo + Bird Paradise is $69 for adults (U.P. $88) and $49 for students aged 13–21 and children aged 3–12 (U.P. $68) — that's $76 off for a family of two adults and two kids. Zoo + River Wonders is the same $69/$49; Zoo + Exploria drops to $59/$44 on regular days (U.P. $80/$56); Zoo + Curiosity Cove is $103 for one adult plus one child (U.P. $119); and Rainforest Wild Adventure + Singapore Zoo is $79/$55 (U.P. $94/$65). The catch is who and where: it's for Singapore local residents who hold a WildPass (free, one-time Singpass sign-up), it must be bought online at buy.mandai.com, and it's valid for a 1-day visit on the date you select at checkout. It runs 1 June – 31 August 2026, which covers the National Day long weekend — and prices already include 9% GST.

7 Best Healthy Meal Delivery & Meal Prep Services in Singapore (2026): Prices, Halal Options & Promo Codes

We rounded up the 7 best healthy meal delivery and meal-prep subscription services in Singapore for 2026, each checked against the brand's own site: Grain (same-day, MUIS halal), YoloFoods (Asian menu, all frozen, regular meals from $8.90), Nutrition Kitchen (fresh daily plans, $15.25 to $17.40/meal), Freshkitchen (chilled daily, $14.95 to $16.50/meal, by the SaladStop! Below: what each one does best, every from-price re-checked in the brands' own stores on 20 October 2026, daily and weekly delivery rhythms, the minimums nobody advertises, healthy catering for the office, which kitchens are genuinely halal-certified (two brands now contradict themselves on this), plus how meal kits and meal subscriptions differ, and every promo code we could verify on 20 October (GETSTARTED, SMOATS, SG61, mealprepper and YoloFoods' Subscribe & Save).

Traditional Mooncakes Singapore 2026: 8 Heritage Bakeries, Final Prices and When to Order for 2027
Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 fell on Friday, 25 September, and Singapore's heritage bakery mooncake season is over. Next year's festival is Wednesday, 15 September 2027, ten days earlier. We re-checked all eight bakeries on 20 October: Tai Chong Kok's online shop has taken its mooncakes down, Bengawan Solo's mooncake page now returns 'page not found', none of Bread Garden's mooncakes is available, and PrimaDéli, Polar, Thye Moh Chan and Old Seng Choong list no mooncakes at all. Only Mdm Ling still has eight sets in stock, back at full price from $48 for a duo and $78 for a tin of four. This guide keeps each bakery's 2026 range and prices, from $9.45 singles to $62 boxes, as the benchmark for 2027.

Mooncake Festival 2026 Is Over, 2027 Is Wednesday 15 September: 10 Best Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore and When the Early Birds Close
Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 fell on Friday, 25 September, and every hotel mooncake season on this list has now closed. Next year's festival is Wednesday, 15 September 2027. We re-checked the shops on 20 October: Mandarin Oriental's Mid-Autumn collection is down to two boxes, both unavailable, The Fullerton's mooncake page shows nine boxes sold out, Fairmont's Mid-Autumn offer page has gone and Pan Pacific's offers page no longer lists one, and Kempinski's mooncake page now redirects to its restaurants page. What stays useful is how 2026 ran. The deepest early birds, 30% to 35%, closed between 22 July and 22 August, a month or more before the festival, and the final week was decided by stock rather than price: Xin Cuisine's 1-for-1 sold out a week early. This guide keeps each hotel's 2026 range and prices as a benchmark for 2027.

1-for-1 Straits Indulgence High Tea @ Holiday Inn Orchard — Peranakan Spread for 2, ~$39++/pax (Till 4 Sep 2026)
A hotel high tea with a Nyonya heart, at half price: Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is running a 1-for-1 Straits Indulgence High Tea at Hari's Lobby Lounge & Bar — a heritage-inspired, Peranakan-and-local spread paired with free-flow premium teas and freshly brewed coffees — from 16 June till 4 September 2026, daily 12pm–5pm. Per the hotel's official offer page, the 1-for-1 price is S$78++ for 2 adults (so about $39++ a head, before the 9% GST and 10% service charge), with each additional guest at S$42++. The tiered stand leans local — think crayfish with som-tam-style salad, sambal-and-nasi-lemak bites, matcha crème brûlée and Musang King durian pengat in a coconut cup — served in the lounge overlooking the greenery. The catch: prices are before GST + service, advance reservation is advisable (it's a two-hour-ish sit-down, not a grab-and-go), and it's a standing hotel promo the property can amend at its discretion. Ideal for a leisurely afternoon with a friend or your mum.

8 Best Confinement Nanny Agencies (+ Confinement Food) in Singapore 2026: MOM Licence Numbers, Real Costs & What to Check
The first 28-40 days after birth are exhausting, and the right confinement nanny (or confinement food delivery) makes an enormous difference to both mum's recovery and the newborn's care. Singapore's 2026 market ranges from large live-in nanny agencies to day-nanny options and modern confinement food delivery services. We mapped 8 providers across nanny agencies and food delivery to start your shortlist, and re-checked all six agency licence numbers on MOM's Employment Agency Directory on 4 September 2026: every one is active, none is under suspension, and the directory's placement figures show which agencies are genuinely large. Here's the full framework: what a confinement nanny does, real 2026 costs including the $35 permit fee and the levy MOM actually charges, live-in vs day-nanny, agency vs freelance, how a confinement centre compares, food delivery as an alternative, and the red flags to avoid.

6 Best Places to Bring Kids in Singapore (2026): What Each One Costs, and Which Are Free
From world-class zoos to hands-on science centres and thrilling theme parks, here are the 6 best family-friendly attractions in Singapore, with every price checked on the operators' own sites and re-checked on 13 October 2026. The gap between them is bigger than it looks: the Science Centre costs a Singaporean or PR adult S$6 on a peak day and nothing at all off-peak, while Universal Studios is S$76 an adult in November, S$83 in October and S$89 in December. Two of the six are free year-round. With the September break over, this is the cheapest stretch of the year to go: Science Centre weekdays are free again for Singaporean and PR families until the year-end holidays start on 21 November. One change since our last check: Snow City next door closed for good on 30 September, but the Science Centre itself stays open.

SUSHIRO Opens at orchardgateway Tomorrow (Fri 21 Aug) With a Rotating 1-for-1 That Runs to 3 Sep — Not 4 Sep — and the Poster's Small Print Says Both Pieces Come on One Plate
SUSHIRO's newest Singapore outlet opens tomorrow, Friday 21 August 2026, at orchardgateway #B1-07/08, and it arrives with the sharpest opening deal the chain has run this year: a rotating 1-for-1 on six premium plates, one item at a time, from 21 August through 3 September. Bluefin Fatty Tuna is first, two pieces for $4.90++ instead of $9.80++, for three days only. Two things everyone repeating this promo has got wrong or left out. First, the end date: one widely-shared write-up headlines it as running to 4 September, but both of SUSHIRO's own 1-for-1 posters stop at 02 & 03 Sep, so 3 September is the last day and there is nothing on 4 September. Second, and more useful at the table: printed under the '1 FOR 1' headline on both posters is the line 'sushi will be served on the same plate'. This is not a buy-one-get-one voucher you can spread across two orders — it is a fixed two-piece plate at half the two-piece price, and the discount only exists in that form. There is also a third thing nobody has priced: the three opening drinks are all $6.00++, but their usual prices are not the same, and The Premium Malt's at $10.50++ is a 43% cut while the Lemon Sour at $8.00++ is only 25%. And note what this outlet is: SUSHIRO's own locations page now lists Taste Orchard at 160 Orchard Road as Permanently Closed, so orchardgateway is a replacement on the same stretch of road, not an extra one.
