Mooncake Festival 2026 Is Friday 25 September — 10 Best Mooncakes in Singapore & Early-Bird Deals Up to 35% Off

Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 falls on Friday, 25 September — and the smart money orders NOW, because every major hotel is running early-bird discounts that vanish weeks before the festival. We rounded up 10 of Singapore's best-loved hotel mooncake collections for 2026, from Raffles' whisky-and-Lapsang-Souchong truffle snow-skins to Hai Tien Lo's Mao Shan Wang durian, Wan Hao's black-truffle-and-Parma-ham box and Old Seng Choong x Hilton's heritage bakes — with each hotel's real early-bird discount (up to 35% off), the exact order-by date, signature flavours and box prices, so you can lock in the best mooncakes before the price hike. Updated 24 August: Fairmont's early bird has now CLOSED — the first deadline on this page that genuinely removed a discount rather than shrinking it — while The Fullerton's 25% did NOT close on 23 August as we said and is still applying today; Mandarin Oriental's 30% runs to 6 Sep under code MOONLIT30, and the next real cliff is 31 August, when Wan Hao and The Capitol Kempinski both land.

Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 lands on Friday, 25 September — but if you want the best hotel mooncakes at the best price, the deadline that matters is weeks earlier. Every major hotel runs an early-bird discount of 15–35% off, and those windows close in waves from late July through late September. Miss the cut-off and you pay full price for the exact same box. So this is a book-early list: ten of Singapore's most-loved hotel mooncake collections for 2026, each with its real early-bird deal, the order-by date, signature flavours and box prices.

> The one rule for 2026: order before the early-bird cut-off, not before the festival. A 30% early-bird on a $100 box saves you $30 — and the most popular flavours (durian, whisky truffle) sell out first.

When is Mooncake Festival 2026?

Mooncake Festival 2026 — also called the Mid-Autumn Festival, 中秋节 or Zhongqiu Jie — falls on FRIDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 2026. That is the date in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan alike, because the festival follows the lunar calendar rather than any one country's holiday list: it is always the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the night of the full harvest moon.

At a glance:

Mooncake Festival 2026Details
DateFriday, 25 September 2026
Lunar date15th day, 8th lunar month
Public holiday in Singapore? No — it is an ordinary working Friday
Usual celebrationReunion dinner, mooncakes and tea, lantern walks that evening
Next yearWednesday, 15 September 2027

Because 25 September 2026 is not a public holiday in Singapore, most families gather that Friday evening after work, or shift the celebration to the weekend of 26–27 September. Lantern displays at Gardens by the Bay and the Chinatown Mid-Autumn light-up run for several weeks beforehand, so you do not have to wait for the day itself.

The buying season, though, is far longer than the festival. Hotel mooncake collections go on sale from June, early-bird discounts close in waves from late July right through to late September (full table below), and mooncake fairs run all the way to the 25th. So if you are buying mooncakes as gifts, the deadline that actually matters is the early-bird cut-off — not 25 September.

Early-bird deadlines still open, earliest first

Updated 20 August 2026 — 36 days to the festival.

The next two cliffs are Fairmont on 22 August and The Fullerton on 23 August — after those, nothing expires until 31 August. Two things worth knowing this week: Mandarin Oriental's 30% is back under a new code (MOONLIT30) after the 13 August version lapsed, so it is no longer the urgent one; and at Wan Hao the two promo codes stack — GET20OFF and LTO5OFF together make 25%, not 20%, before the self-collection bonus.

Deadlines that have passed — and what you can still get

Five early-birds have now closed, but not one of them left you paying full price. In every case the hotel shrank the discount instead of removing it:

HotelEarly bird that closedWhat you get now
The Fullerton30%, closed 22 Jul25% until 23 Aug
Hai Tien Lo30%, closed 27 JulUp to 25% until 25 Sep
Hilton Orchard × Old Seng Choong25%, closed 6 AugHilton Honors: 25% off for Gold/Diamond, 10% for Base/Silver — all season, plus up to 20% on selected cards in Sep
Andaz Singapore35%, closed 9 Aug25% until 25 Sep
Raffles Hotel30% (UOB), closed 9 Aug20% online until 18 Sep; at the booth 15% 17–31 Aug, then 10% 1–25 Sep

So a missed deadline is worth ten seconds of checking rather than a shrug — Hilton is the standout, because a free Hilton Honors Gold status you may already hold through a credit card gets you the same 25% the early-bird did.

Raffles Hotel Singapore — Whisky Truffle Snow-Skins & Grand Heritage Box
1

Raffles Hotel Singapore — Whisky Truffle Snow-Skins & Grand Heritage Box

The most iconic name on the list. Raffles' 2026 collection pairs classic baked white-lotus mooncakes with its signature snow-skin truffles — the standout Whisky & Lapsang Souchong Truffle Snow-Skin and Champagne Truffle — presented in a keepsake box modelled on the hotel's colonial façade. PRICE: most individual boxes are $105 — the Whisky & Lapsang Souchong, Matcha & Raspberry, Yuzu & Osmanthus, Sakura & Raspberry and Pistachio & Apricot truffle snow-skins, and the baked Mother-of-Pearl single-yolk and Double Yolk with Macadamia — while the Champagne Truffle and Guojiao 1573 Baijiu Black Sesame snow-skins are $107. Do not confuse those with the separate Raffles Hotel Singapore Premium Baked Mooncake Box at $228, which is the one box every discount below excludes. BEST FOR: gifting to VIPs and anyone who wants an instantly-recognisable luxury box. WHERE THE DISCOUNT STANDS NOW: the two early-bird tracks ran on different clocks. UOB's 30% off online ran 1–31 July and was extended once to 9 August 2026; the 25% for AMEX, Citi, DBS, OCBC and HSBC was July-only and stepped down to 20% on 1 August, so those cardholders lost the deeper rate a week earlier than UOB did. Both have now closed. From 10 August to 18 September all of those cards get 20% off online, and 18 SEPTEMBER IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER ONLINE. In-store at the Raffles Mooncake Booth (328 North Bridge Road, from 3 August, 10am–8pm daily) it steps down in three phases: 20% off 3–16 August, 15% off 17–31 August, then 10% off 1–25 September. Note the discounts exclude limited-edition flavours and the Premium Mooncake Box.

Early bird has ended. NOW: 20% off online, 10 Aug–18 Sep 2026. In person at the Raffles Mooncake Booth (North Bridge Road Atrium, daily 10am–8pm): 20% off 3–16 Aug, 15% off 17–31 Aug, 10% off 1–25 Sep. Excludes the Premium Mooncake Box and limited-edition flavours.

Hai Tien Lo, Pan Pacific Singapore — Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow-Skin

Pan Pacific's celebrated Cantonese restaurant does one of the most sought-after durian mooncakes in town. The 2026 line-up leads with the Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow-Skin and the Hai Tien Lo No. 1 Tea baked mooncake, alongside classic double-yolk white lotus. PRICE: box of 4 from around $95. BEST FOR: durian lovers and traditionalists who want restaurant-grade baked mooncakes. CURRENT DEAL: the 30% early-bird closed on 27 July 2026 — it had the earliest cut-off on this list. The good news is that the discount shrank rather than disappeared: up to 25% off now runs from 28 July all the way to 25 September, so there is no cliff-edge here and no reason to rush a decision. Collection runs 18 June–25 September, with self-collection at the level 1 mooncake booth.

Fairmont Singapore — Editorial Snow-Skins & the Biggest Early-Bird

Fairmont Singapore — Editorial Snow-Skins & the Biggest Early-Bird

Fairmont's 2026 mooncake campaign is one of the most striking in Singapore, and it is the pick with the widest snow-skin range — EIGHT handcrafted snow-skin varieties sit alongside the baked classics, including the of-the-moment Dubai Chocolate, a local-leaning Pandan Bliss, Whisky Orange and a Champagne snow-skin. It carried the biggest headline discount here, up to 35% off — but that early bird closed on 22 August 2026 and Fairmont has not replaced it. IMPORTANT IF YOU NEED HALAL: Fairmont's baked mooncakes are HALAL-CERTIFIED, which makes this the most straightforward box on this list for mixed-faith offices and family gatherings — note that the boozy snow-skins (whisky, champagne) obviously are not. BEST FOR: corporate gifting in volume and halal-friendly gifting — no longer for chasing the deepest saving, which is the change since our last update. THE EARLY BIRD HAS CLOSED: the tiered discount — 35% off for Accor+ Explorer members and AMEX Platinum, 30% for OCBC cards, 25% for HSBC, Citi, DBS/POSB, UOB, CIMB, Maybank, Bank of China and Standard Chartered, or 25% for everyone else with Fairmont's own code MC26PB25 — was conditional on ordering by 22 AUGUST 2026, and that date has passed. READ THIS BEFORE YOU COUNT ON THE CODE: as of 24 August both Fairmont's offer page and the Fairmont at Home shop still display the whole discount block with its lapsed 'order by 22 August 2026' deadline attached, and the shop lists every box at plain list price with no struck-through pricing — so there is nothing on either page showing a live discount, and a promo code that is still printed on a page is not the same thing as a promo code that still works at checkout. Assume the early bird is over and treat any discount that does apply as a bonus. WHAT IS STILL TRUE: Singapore delivery is free above $200, and the mooncake booth runs 17 August–25 September, 10am–8pm daily at Level 2. PRICE: varies by box and range — confirm on the offer page before you order.

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore — Peony Keepsake Box

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore — Peony Keepsake Box

One of the prettiest sets of 2026, and the one with the most box choice — Kempinski splits its collection into a Tin Box, a Musical Box and a Lacquer Box range, the latter two very much keepsake territory. Inside are beloved classics plus a trio of new 2026 creations. PRICE: the Tin Box Collection is $61 nett, with a $5 nett upgrade from mini baked to mini snow-skin flavours; the musical and lacquer ranges are dearer — confirm those on the mooncake page. BEST FOR: aesthetes who want a design-forward box for the display table. EARLY BIRD: 20% off all musical or lacquer mooncake boxes until 31 August 2026, dropping to 15% off from 1 to 25 September. Cardholders of AMEX, Citibank, DBS, OCBC and UOB get 25% off, and delivery is free on orders of 50+ boxes to one address — worth knowing if you are doing corporate gifting. IMPORTANT CATCH: the discounts apply to the musical and lacquer boxes only — the cheaper Tin Box collection is EXCLUDED, so the headline 20% is not the whole range. Three practical notes: orders need at least 48 hours' notice, you can upgrade the mini baked mooncakes to mini snow-skin flavours for $5 nett more, and the absolute last day to place an order is 23 September 2026, 23:59. Delivery and collection run 15 August to 25 September.

20% off musical & lacquer boxes until 31 Aug 2026, then 15% off 1–25 Sep — but AMEX, Citibank, DBS, OCBC and UOB cardholders get 25% off, which beats the early bird. Tin Box Collection $61 nett (excluded from the % discounts).

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (Cherry Garden) — Four Treasures Set
5

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (Cherry Garden) — Four Treasures Set

Cherry Garden's mooncakes are a refined pick with playful modern flavours — the Assorted Nuts with Royal Chilli Sauce baked mooncake and a Black Sesame with Mochi snow-skin sit alongside classic bakes. PRICE: the online shop lists the Four Treasures four-piece box at $99 and the Two Treasures two-piece box at $68 BEFORE tax — $107.90 and $74.10 respectively once GST is added at checkout, which is the number you actually pay. There is also a premium Moonlit Elegance set at $388. WHAT'S IN THE FOUR TREASURES BOX: Low Sugar White Lotus Paste with Double Yolk, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Black Sesame Paste with Mochi, and Tropical Lychee White Lotus Paste with Longan — so it is two safe classics plus two genuinely modern ones, which is why it works as a gift for someone whose taste you don't know. BEST FOR: those who want a luxury hotel box with a genuinely different flavour profile. CURRENT OFFER: 30% off the FOUR-PIECE box with code MOONLIT30 at checkout, valid 14 August to 6 September 2026, with complimentary delivery when you buy two boxes or more — capped at 19 boxes to a single address, and the discount excludes government taxes. This replaced the earlier EARLYBIRD30 code, which ended 13 August. AND IF YOU MISS 6 SEPTEMBER: Mandarin Oriental does not snap back to full price — a separate 20% off on four-piece sets runs all the way to 25 September for OCBC, DBS, UOB, Citibank, AMEX and HSBC cardholders, with payment on the matching card. Pre-orders run to 25 September for collection at the Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop.

30% off the 4-piece box with code MOONLIT30 (14 Aug–6 Sep 2026), plus free delivery when you buy 2 boxes or more (max 19 boxes to one address) — excludes government taxes. After 6 Sep, 20% off 4-piece sets continues to 25 Sep for OCBC, DBS, UOB, Citibank, AMEX and HSBC cardholders.

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore — Low-Sugar Baked Classics
6

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore — Low-Sugar Baked Classics

A heritage favourite, The Fullerton's 2026 collection leans traditional with a health-conscious twist — much of the range is made with reduced sugar, and the Low Sugar White Lotus with Pumpkin Seed is the signature, in an elegant baked-classics gift set and a slim 'letterbox' box of 2. THREE NEW FOR 2026, all built on classic Chinese ingredients: Glutinous Rice Pu'er with Melon Seed, Low Sugar White Lotus with Pumpkin Seed, and Black Sesame with Chestnut and Walnut — BUT CHECK STOCK BEFORE YOU SET YOUR HEART ON ONE: re-checked on 24 August, the Glutinous Rice Pu'er and the Black Sesame with Chestnut and Walnut are both SOLD OUT online (waiting list only), and the one new flavour you can still buy — the Pumpkin Seed — has quietly come OFF the discount: it is now S$92 flat with no struck-through price, where a week ago it was S$92 → S$69. So all three 2026 debut flavours are now either unavailable or full price, and every box the 25% still applies to is a returning classic. The Jade Nostalgic Harvest Mooncake Tingkat ($98) is sold out too. PRICE (list, then what the shop is actually charging today with the 25% applied): Baked Classics Letterbox (box of 2) $68 → $51; Baked Classics Gift Set (box of 4) $95 → $71.25; Low Sugar White Lotus with Double Yolks (box of 4) $95 → $71.25; Low Sugar White Lotus with Single Yolk (box of 4) $92 → $69. The Jade 15 Treasures Premium Gift Set is $218 → $163.50. Low Sugar White Lotus with Pumpkin Seed (box of 4) is now $92 undiscounted. BEST FOR: classic baked-mooncake purists, lighter-on-sugar gifting, and older relatives watching their sugar intake. CURRENT DEAL, AND A CORRECTION TO OUR OWN LAST UPDATE: we told you the 25% would end on 23 August. It did not. Re-checked on the morning of 24 August, the shop is still pricing the classics at exactly 25% below list, and Fullerton publishes no end date for that discount at all — the only date it does publish is the collection's own close on 25 September 2026, which is what we now use. Worth knowing: The Fullerton's own campaign page still advertises "30 percent off, now to 9 August", which lapsed weeks ago — the shop itself is the reliable source here, not the campaign page, and its live struck-through prices are the thing to trust. One-time complimentary delivery applies above $500 nett in a single receipt. The collection itself runs 22 June to 25 September.

25% off, still live on 24 Aug with no published end date (the 30% early-bird closed 22 Jul); collection closes 25 Sep 2026 — Letterbox of 2 is $51, four-piece boxes $69–71.25, Jade 15 Treasures $163.50. All three 2026 debut flavours are now out: two sold out, and the Pumpkin Seed is off the discount at $92 flat.

Andaz Singapore — Cempedak Coconut Bliss & Playful Boxes

Andaz brings a younger, design-led energy — the 2026 collection features tropical-leaning snow-skins like Cempedak Coconut Bliss and a Signature Tea flavour, in colourful contemporary gift boxes. The new Cempedak Coconut Bliss pairs cempedak, coconut and pandan with macadamia nuts — about as Southeast Asian as a snow-skin gets. ALSO HALAL: Andaz's baked mooncakes are HALAL-CERTIFIED (produced by Wu Yue Ting, also known as 5 ON 25), which makes this the second genuinely halal-friendly box on this list alongside Fairmont — and the cheaper of the two, starting at $60. PRICE (all nett): box of 2 is $60 (Assorted or Signature Tea) or $62 (Silver Lotus with Double Yolks); box of 4 is $95 (Assorted or Signature Tea) or $98 (Silver Lotus with Double Yolks) — one of the friendlier entry prices among the hotels. There is also a Collector's Edition with a LEGLE teapot-and-cup set at $368 (or $373 for Silver Lotus Double Yolk) if you need one serious gift. BEST FOR: younger giftees, halal-friendly gifting on a smaller budget, and anyone who wants a modern, local-tropical flavour set. EARLY BIRD: 35% off when you pay with a participating card and enter its code at checkout (AMEX35, CITI35, DBS35, DINER35, HSBC35, MAYBANK35, OCBC35 or UOB35) — until 9 August 2026. After that it steps down to 25% off from 10 August to 25 September, so 9 August is the date that matters. Order via the Andaz online shop or its retail booths.

Hilton Singapore Orchard × Old Seng Choong — Heritage Bakes in the Orchard Earth Box

A collaboration with heritage confectionery house Old Seng Choong gives Hilton one of the more characterful 2026 sets — flavours like Hojicha Pine Nut, Orange Red Bean Taro and Yam with Lotus Seeds, in the modular, reusable 'Orchard Earth Box'. The box itself is the differentiator — it unfolds to reveal lantern riddles, illustrations and notes on Mid-Autumn traditions, which makes it the best pick on this list if there are children in the house. PRICE: the Botanical Four Collection (box of 4) is $88. BEST FOR: fans of local heritage flavours, families with kids, and anyone who wants a keepsake box that lasts past the season. EARLY BIRD: 25% off (plus 10% for Hilton Honors members) for orders paid by 6 August 2026 — the NEXT deadline to fall on this list, so this is the one to act on first. The Cantonese restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium returns with its 2026 'Never Just a Mooncake' collection — signature handcrafted baked and snow-skin favourites, plus two new mini snow-skin flavours worth trying: Lotus Seed Paste with Orange Whisky, and Lotus Seed Paste with Elderflower Apple Praline (floral, fruity and lightly boozy) — presented in a blush-toned keepsake box with a crystal-clear cover. Its two long-standing bestsellers are still the reason regulars come back: the Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste Baked Mooncake with Double Yolk, and the Peranakan Durian Mini Snow-Skin (6 per box). PRICE: the new mini snow-skin boxes are $84 each. BEST FOR: a mid-range hotel gift box with a modern snow-skin twist. EARLY BIRD — AND THE BIT MOST ROUND-UPS MISS: it is up to 35% off when you pre-order, now until 21 September 2026, OR a 1-FOR-1 DEAL on two selected gift boxes, which works out deeper than 35% if one of those two boxes suits your recipient. Collection or delivery from 25 August. This is the most relaxed deadline on this list by a wide margin, so it is the fallback if you have already missed everyone else's cut-off. Order via the hotel's Mid-Autumn page, and compare the 1-for-1 boxes against the percentage before you pick.

Early bird till 21 Sep 2026: up to 35% off pre-orders, OR a 1-for-1 deal on two selected gift boxes — take whichever is deeper. Collection/delivery from 25 Aug. New mini snow-skin boxes (Orange Whisky / Elderflower Apple) $84 each.

Wan Hao, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza — Black Truffle & Parma Ham, and Five New Creations

The Orchard Road stalwart, and the most adventurous flavour list of the ten. Wan Hao's 2026 line-up adds FIVE new creations: two baked — 'Da Hong Pao' Tea with Cranberries and Golden Raisins, and Honey Hawthorn with Pecan Nuts — and three snow-skin: Matcha with Balsamic Strawberry Praline, Sea Salt Chocolate with Baileys Praline, and Milk Chocolate with Hazelnut Praline. The showpiece is the savoury one: a Golden Black Truffle mooncake with dry-aged Parma ham, pistachio and single yolk, at $99 per box — genuinely unusual, and the box to bring if you want people to talk about it. BEST FOR: the person who has been given the same white lotus double yolk for fifteen years. WHERE THE DISCOUNT STANDS NOW: the 25% super early-bird (code GET25OFF) closed on 31 July 2026, but the replacement is better than it first looks. Wan Hao now lets you STACK TWO CODES — GET20OFF *and* LTO5OFF — for 25% OFF UNTIL 31 AUGUST 2026, plus another 10% off if you choose self-collection instead of delivery, so UP TO 35% OFF if you collect. Most write-ups quote only GET20OFF, which leaves 5% on the table. Pre-orders close 22 September; delivery and lobby-booth collection run 21 August–25 September. Free delivery only kicks in at 50 boxes, so for a single box, self-collection is both cheaper and the bigger discount.

Baked vs snow-skin — pick by the recipient

  • Baked (traditional): golden crust, lotus or red-bean paste, salted yolk — richer, keeps 1–2 months, the safe classic gift. Go here for The Fullerton, Hilton × Old Seng Choong, Mandarin Oriental.
  • Snow-skin (modern): soft, chilled, mochi-like, with boozy or fruity fillings — the novelty crowd-pleaser. Go here for Raffles (whisky truffle), Hai Tien Lo (Mao Shan Wang durian), Andaz (cempedak coconut), Fairmont (Dubai Chocolate).
  • Savoury, for the person who has everything: Wan Hao's black truffle with dry-aged Parma ham and single yolk is the one genuinely surprising box of 2026.
  • Not sure? Most hotels sell mixed boxes so you get both in one gift.

Buying tips

  • Stack the card discount. Several early-birds are deepest for specific cards (UOB at Raffles, Accor Plus / AMEX Platinum at Fairmont, Hilton Honors at Hilton). Check which card you already hold before you pay.
  • Choose self-collection where it pays. At Wan Hao, picking up instead of delivering adds another 10% off — free delivery there only starts at 50 boxes, so for one or two boxes collection wins twice.
  • Watch delivery vs self-collection. Collection slots near the festival fill up; book your pick-up date when you order.
  • A missed deadline is rarely fatal. Most hotels shrink the discount rather than cancel it — check the current rate before paying full price.
  • Durian and cream snow-skins are perishable — keep them chilled and gift them the same day.
  • Need halal? Two options here: Fairmont's baked mooncakes are halal-certified, and so are Andaz's (Andaz is the cheaper entry at $60). For every other hotel, verify the current certification directly before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, and when should I order mooncakes?

Mid-Autumn Festival (Mooncake Festival) 2026 falls on FRIDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 2026. But you should order well before that — most hotel early-bird discounts (15–35% off) close weeks earlier. As of 20 August 2026, the deadlines still open on this list are: Fairmont 22 August, The Fullerton 23 August, The Capitol Kempinski 31 August, Wan Hao at Marriott Tang Plaza 31 August, Mandarin Oriental 6 September (its 30% is back under a new code, MOONLIT30, after the 13 August version lapsed), Raffles online 18 September, Xin Cuisine 21 September, and Andaz, Hai Tien Lo and Mandarin Oriental's 20% bank-card offer all on 25 September. Five have already closed: The Fullerton's 30% ended 22 July, Hai Tien Lo's 30% ended 27 July, Hilton Orchard's 25% ended 6 August, and both Andaz's 35% and Raffles' 30% ended 9 August. One useful nuance: at most hotels the discount does not vanish at the cut-off, it just shrinks — Raffles drops to 20% online until 18 September, Hai Tien Lo from 30% to 25% until 25 September, The Fullerton from 30% to 25% until 23 August, Andaz from 35% to 25% until 25 September, and Kempinski from 20% to 15% for the first 25 days of September. Hilton is the best of these: Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond members get 25% off all season, matching the closed early-bird. So if you have already missed a deadline, it is still worth checking before you pay full price. If you're gifting for a work event or a big family gathering, order even earlier, as bulk quantities and self-collection slots go fast.

What are the best mooncake flavours for 2026 — baked or snow-skin?

Both, depending on taste. BAKED mooncakes are the traditional golden-crust ones with lotus or red-bean paste and salted egg yolk — richer, longer-keeping, and the classic gift (The Fullerton's low-sugar white lotus, Hilton x Old Seng Choong's heritage bakes, Mandarin Oriental's Four Treasures). SNOW-SKIN mooncakes are the soft, chilled, mochi-like ones with modern or boozy fillings — think Raffles' whisky & Lapsang Souchong truffle, Hai Tien Lo's Mao Shan Wang durian, and Andaz's cempedak coconut. If you're gifting conservatively, go baked classics; if the recipient likes novelty or durian, snow-skin is the crowd-pleaser. Many hotels also sell mixed boxes so you don't have to choose.

How much do hotel mooncakes cost in Singapore in 2026?

Hotel mooncake gift boxes in 2026 typically run about $60–110 for a standard box of 2 to 8 pieces before the early-bird discount. On this list, entry prices start around $60 (Andaz, box of 2) and $68 (The Fullerton letterbox of 2), with premium four-piece and eight-piece sets around $88 (Hilton x Old Seng Choong), $95 (Hai Tien Lo), $99 (Wan Hao's black truffle and Parma ham box), $105 (Raffles) and $107.90 (Mandarin Oriental Four Treasures). Snow-skin, durian and truffle flavours sit at the higher end. The early-bird discounts of 20–35% are the single biggest way to cut the cost — a 30% early-bird on a $100 box saves you $30 — so ordering before the cut-off date matters more than which promo code you use. Prices are indicative; confirm the current price and exact box contents on each hotel's official page.

Can I get halal-certified mooncakes in Singapore?

Some hotels and bakeries offer halal-certified mooncakes, but NOT all — several hotel Chinese restaurants are not halal-certified, and boozy snow-skin flavours (whisky, champagne, baijiu truffle) are obviously not suitable. On this list there are TWO halal-certified options. FAIRMONT SINGAPORE's baked mooncakes are halal-certified, and ANDAZ SINGAPORE's baked mooncakes are halal-certified too (produced by Wu Yue Ting, also known as 5 ON 25). Andaz is the cheaper of the two, starting at $60 nett for a box of 2, while Fairmont has the wider range and the deeper early-bird — so Andaz is the easier pick for a single gift and Fairmont for volume corporate gifting. In both cases the rule is the same: stick to the BAKED range, because the alcoholic snow-skins (Fairmont's Whisky Orange and Champagne, Raffles' whisky truffle) are obviously not suitable. For every other hotel here, check the specific brand's current halal certification before ordering, since certification status can change year to year, and confirm directly with the hotel rather than assuming. Do not assume a box is halal just because it's baked lotus-paste — verify the certification.

What's the best way to store mooncakes and how long do they keep?

BAKED mooncakes keep at room temperature, in their sealed packaging with the oxygen absorber, for roughly 1–2 months (check the printed best-before date) — many actually taste better a few days after baking as the crust softens and the paste 'returns oil'. Once opened, eat within a few days. SNOW-SKIN mooncakes are perishable and must be kept CHILLED (refrigerated), eaten within a few days, and taken out about 15–20 minutes before serving so they soften slightly. Durian and cream-based snow-skins are the most perishable — don't leave them out in Singapore's heat. If you're gifting snow-skin or durian mooncakes, hand them over the same day or keep them cold in transit.
