Xin Cuisine, the Cantonese restaurant on Level 4 of Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, is selling its 2026 mooncake collection two different ways at the same time, and neither of its own pages tells you which one to take. One is a flat 30% off. The other is 1-for-1, which is worth about 50%. They do not stack. We checked that at the checkout rather than taking anyone's word for it.

The offer in one line
The 2026 collection is called Never Just a Mooncake, and every box in it is listed twice on the hotel's e-store:
- The 1-for-1 listing. The price on the page buys two boxes. Both must be the same flavour and the same box design, and you pick the design as the variant: Blush Pink or Sandy Beige. Ten flavours qualify.
- The single-box listing. Same flavours, one box, with 30% taken off automatically at checkout.
No promo code is needed for either. Both close on 21 September 2026.

Per piece, the 1-for-1 puts the six-piece snowskins at $7.00, the durian and assorted boxes at $7.50, and the baked four-piece boxes at $10.75 to $12.00.
The 30% does not stack on the 1-for-1
The 1-for-1 collection page carries a line that reads "Prices listed are NETT (inclusive of GST) and before discount", which reads as though the 30% is still to come. It is not.
We added a 1-for-1 box of Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk to the cart. The total stayed at $92.00, with no discount line and no allocation against it. We then added the single-box listing of the same flavour. The cart applied a line called "Snowskin and Traditional Mooncake Discount [30% OFF]" and took $92.00 down to $64.40.
So the two are alternatives, not layers. On every flavour that has a 1-for-1 twin, the 1-for-1 is the deeper cut: about 50% against 30%.
The trap: two listings, one price, half the mooncakes
Both listings for the same flavour carry the identical headline price. The single-yolk baked box is $92 on the 1-for-1 page and $92 on the single-box page. One of those gets you two boxes. The other gets you one.
If you want two boxes of one flavour and you buy them from the single-box page, you pay $64.40 x 2 = $128.80. From the 1-for-1 page you pay $92.00. That is $36.80 for landing on the wrong product page, and nothing on either page warns you.
The rule of thumb is short. Want two or more of one flavour? Use the 1-for-1 page. Want exactly one box, or a mix of flavours? The single-box page and its 30% is the only route, because the 1-for-1 requires both boxes to match on flavour and on box design.
The two boxes that get neither offer
This is the part no coverage has picked up. The Signature Series has two boxes: Mini Baked Egg Custard with Yolk ($84, six pieces) and Teochew Yam Paste with Single Yolk ($92, four pieces). Both sit inside the same "Flavours of Mid-Autumn" collection whose banner says *"Enjoy 30% off discount when you order our traditional and mini snowskin mooncakes"*. Neither has a 1-for-1 twin.
Put them in the cart and the discount that lands is a separate "Signature Mooncake Discount [15% OFF]". Not 30%. And their own product pages promise something different again: both carry the line *"20% off with every signature series purchase!"* in the description. Three numbers, and the one that is actually charged is the smallest of the three.
At 15%, the egg custard box is $71.40 and the Teochew yam box is $78.20, which is $11.90 and $19.55 a piece. Against $7.00 a piece on the 1-for-1 snowskins, the Teochew yam box is nearly three times the price per mooncake. If you want it, you want it because you want yam paste in flaky pastry, not because of the discount.
The deadlines that actually bind
There are three dates here and only one of them is the one on the banner.
- Order by Mon 21 September 2026. This is the advertised close for both offers.
- Allow at least 3 days. The store requires a minimum three-day advance order, so an order placed on 21 September cannot be collected before 24 September.
- Collect by Thu 24 September 2026. The collection window is 25 August to 24 September, 12pm to 8pm daily. Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 falls on Friday 25 September, so the collection point shuts the day before the festival. If you are buying these to hand over on the night, you are collecting them the day before at the latest.
Ordering on the final day therefore leaves exactly one usable collection day. Give yourself a week.
Worth knowing
- Delivery is $40 nett per location, islandwide. On an $84 two-box order that is a 48% surcharge, and it wipes out most of what the 1-for-1 saved you. Self-collection at the Level 1 counter is free. Delivery only makes sense if you are sending several boxes to one address.
- The collection point keeps different hours to the restaurant. Xin Cuisine on Level 4 is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The Mooncake Collection Point on Level 1 runs 12pm to 8pm daily, so a Monday pickup is fine.
- Snowskin is on a one-week clock. It must go into the freezer at -12°C within one hour of collection, defrost in the fridge before serving, and be eaten within a week. Do not refreeze. The baked boxes keep two weeks. The two Signature boxes keep only three days, which is the shortest window in the range and matters if you are buying early.
- Two 1-for-1 lines are dead stock. Sesame Negroni and Passion Fruit, both $82 in last year's green and red boxes, are still reachable on the store but are sold out on every variant and are no longer inside the 1-for-1 collection. The price verifies; the mooncakes do not exist.
- Everything is non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and cancelling still charges you in full. Bring the order confirmation, digital or printed, to the counter.
- Bulk orders take a different route. For 60 boxes and above, the store asks you to contact Xin Cuisine directly on 3138 2531 or xin.sinhi@ihg.com rather than ordering online.
Should you take it?
If you want two boxes of one flavour, yes: $42 a box for six mini snowskins is the cheapest per-piece hotel mooncake we have priced this season, and it is a hotel kitchen, not a supermarket line. If you want one box, or one of each of six flavours to give away, the 30% is fine but no longer exceptional, and the Takashimaya fair has run early birds deeper than that. And if the Teochew yam paste is the one you came for, buy it because you want it, because the discount on it is 15% and the maths never gets better.
