Cheap day out with the kids, sorted: Golden Village is running 'Kids Watch For Free' — one child aged 6 and below watches a movie FREE with every standard adult ticket you buy — for G, PG and PG13 titles, at all GV cinemas islandwide, till 20 November 2026.
> Quick view: kids 6 & below watch FREE with each standard adult ticket · G/PG/PG13 only · walk-in at the box office · weekday sessions before 2pm (Mon–Fri) · all GV cinemas · till 20 Nov 2026 · excludes school & public holidays.
The deal
Buy a standard adult ticket at the box office and one child aged 6 or below gets a free ticket to the same movie and session. It's a straightforward one-free-child-per-paying-adult offer, so two adults can bring two little ones free.
The rules that matter
- Weekdays only — Monday to Friday, for sessions that start before 2pm.
- Walk-in purchases only — buy at the GV box office, not online.
- G, PG and PG13 titles only — higher ratings and non-standard/premium tickets generally don't qualify.
- Both must be present at purchase, and you must show the child's birth certificate (physical copy or screenshot).
- One free child per paying adult, same movie and session, while seats last.
Dates to plan around (excluded)
The offer runs 2 January to 20 November 2026, but it does not apply on:
- School holidays — 14–22 Mar, 30 May–28 Jun, 5–13 Sep, 21 Nov–31 Dec.
- Public holidays & eves of public holidays — including 16–18 Feb, 20–21 Mar, 3 Apr, 1 May, 26–27 May, 1 Jun, 10 Aug (National Day), 9 Nov, 24–25 Dec, plus any other gazetted public holidays.
So the sweet spot is a term-time weekday morning — pick a G/PG/PG13 film with a session before 2pm.
Why it's worth it
A weekday-matinee adult ticket is usually in the low-to-mid teens, so a free child seat is roughly a $10–$14 saving each visit — a genuinely cheap treat for young families when there's a family film on. Confirm current ticket prices, the film's rating and the session time on GV's website or app before heading down, and remember the birth certificate.
