Tajimaya Yakiniku has built its National Day promotion around the number that matters this year — 61. The SG61 Prestige Miyazaki Set is $61++ and pairs two premium cuts that would cost a fair bit more ordered separately, running from 1 July to 15 August 2026 at the chain's Great World outlet.
> Quick view: SG61 Prestige Miyazaki Set · $61++ (~$73 nett after 9% GST + 10% service) · 60g A5 Miyazaki Striploin + 60g Australian Wagyu Short Ribs · free-flow miso soup, garlic rice, wafu salad & Japanese appetisers · 1 dessert per person · 1 Jul–15 Aug 2026 · dine-in only, Great World #B1-115 · not combinable with other promos/vouchers.
What you get
The set puts a genuine flagship cut on the grill: 60g of A5 Miyazaki Striploin, the top grade of Japanese wagyu, from a prefecture that has won Japan's national wagyu championship more than once. Next to it comes 60g of Australian Wagyu Short Ribs — a fattier, beefier contrast — and you cook both yourself over Tajimaya's Japanese binchotan charcoal, which is the whole point of the "yakiniku" (Japanese charcoal grill) experience.
Around the beef, the price also carries free-flow miso soup, garlic rice, wafu salad and Japanese appetisers, and one dessert per person to finish. So it eats as a full meal rather than just a plate of wagyu.
The price, in plain terms
The $61++ is before tax and service: add Singapore's 9% GST and Tajimaya's 10% service charge and the set works out to roughly $73 nett. That is still notable value for an A5 Miyazaki cut — ordering that grade of striploin a la carte typically runs well past the whole-set price on its own, which is what makes the National Day framing more than a marketing number.
When and where
- Dates: 1 July – 15 August 2026.
- Outlet: Great World only — #B1-115, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, on the basement level, directly above Great World MRT (TE15).
- Dine-in only — there is no delivery or takeaway version.
The other deal: a 4-day buffet flash sale
If you would rather graze than focus on the prestige cut, Tajimaya is also running a Premium Dinner Buffet Flash Sale — $61++, down from the usual $69.90++ — but only on 3–6 August 2026. That is free-flow premium meats, seafood and Japanese staples to grill, and it lands the buffet at the same headline $61 for four days over the National Day stretch.
The fine print
- $61++ is per set, before GST and service — budget about $73 nett.
- Dine-in only, one outlet (Great World) — no delivery or takeaway.
- Cannot be combined with other promotions or vouchers.
- No minimum pax is stated, but the mall outlet is busy at dinner and over National Day — reservations are recommended (+65 8303 1863).
Is it worth it?
Yes, if the A5 Miyazaki is the reason you're going — the striploin is the star, and $61++ for that grade plus a fattier Aussie wagyu rib, free-flow sides and dessert is a sharp National Day price. If you're feeding a bigger group that cares more about volume than about the marbled cut, wait for the 3–6 August buffet instead. Either way, book ahead: it's a single mall outlet, and the National Day long weekend fills tables fast.
