Singapore's 61st National Day (SG61) fell on Sunday, 9 August 2026. Because it landed on a Sunday, Monday 10 August 2026 was a public holiday in lieu — giving most people a three-day long weekend (Saturday to Monday). That long weekend has now passed, but it does not mean you have missed out: many of the National Day food promotions below were written to run right through August, and Swensen's SG-inspired menu goes all the way to 9 September. If anything it is easier now — the 1-for-1 buffets that were fully booked over 8–10 August have weekday slots again.

Five are, as of 20 August 2026, and one of them only launched after NDP. Running now: Swensen's SG-inspired local menu (Singapore Laksa Pizza and Jumbo Blue Prawn Hokkien Mee at $18.61, $61 Family Set) till 9 September; Permata's 1-for-1 'Flavours of the Lion City' halal buffet at Gedung Kuning, $88++ for two at lunch and $108++ for two at dinner with no credit card needed, till 31 August; Dian Xiao Er's National Day Special menu from $12.90 at Emerald-member prices, till 31 August; Springleaf Prata Place's new Prata Smash Burger at $8.90 with a FREE hot teh tarik, till 31 August; and Guzman y Gomez's Butter Chicken filling, still on the menu with no published end date. Four National Day promotions have expired and are no longer claimable: KFC's Curry x Sambal Zinger series ended 18 August and is now off KFC Singapore's own menu; GYG's GrabFood 5-mains-for-$61 bundle ran 31 July to 10 August and its 6 days of $6.10 app offers ran 7 to 12 August; Springleaf's 'Back In My Days' throwback pricing ended 4 August, including the $0.61 plain prata; and Dian Xiao Er's free SG61 MerDuck keychain giveaway was dated 28 July to 10 August.

One genuinely free one is still going. Springleaf Prata Place gives a FREE hot teh tarik with every $8.90 Prata Smash Burger from 9 to 31 August 2026, at all outlets except Tang Plaza — this is the most reliable National Day freebie left, because it comes with a normal menu purchase and needs no membership, app or card. Be careful with the Dian Xiao Er duck mascot: the FREE limited-edition SG61 MerDuck keychain (a Merlion-meets-duck) was dated 28 July to 10 August and is no longer on Dian Xiao Er's promotions page, so do not order a roast duck dish expecting one. What its current poster offers instead is a Durian DD.Duck Plush Pendant at $9.90 (U.P. $15.90) — a purchase-with-purchase, not a giveaway, on any National Day Special dish while quantities last. Other freebies that have ended: Guzman y Gomez's app-unlocked daily National Day offers stopped after 12 August. As always with 'while stocks last' items, the published end date is a ceiling, not a guarantee — popular outlets run out first.

Among this list, Permata is the standout MUIS halal-certified option — a Nusantara halal buffet at Gedung Kuning running a 1-for-1 deal on 50+ local dishes (nasi lemak, chicken rice, ayam buah keluak) till 31 August 2026. Swensen's, Guzman y Gomez, Dian Xiao Er and Springleaf Prata Place are not halal-certified (Dian Xiao Er serves duck and pork dishes; Springleaf's prata kitchen is not certified). Muslim diners should look for a displayed MUIS certificate at the specific outlet rather than assuming, as certification is outlet-specific and can change.

With KFC's $8.10 Curry x Sambal Zinger gone since 18 August, the cheapest National Day food deal still running is Springleaf Prata Place's new Prata Smash Burger at $8.90 — and because it comes with a free hot teh tarik till 31 August, you are getting a meal and a drink for under $9. Note that Springleaf's much cheaper 'Back In My Days' throwback prices have ENDED — the $0.61 plain prata ran 15–21 July only and the final Mini Ultimate Murtabak at $6.10 stopped on 4 August, so none of those are claimable now. The cheapest sit-down National Day dish is Dian Xiao Er's Stir-Fried Prawns with Silky Egg White at $12.90, but that is the Emerald-tier members' price — without membership you pay the $15.90 U.P. For all-you-can-eat value, Permata's 1-for-1 halal buffet brings a 50-dish local spread to about $44++ a head at lunch (roughly $53 nett), not the ~$22 some roundups claim: the $88++ lunch price is for two people, so the 1-for-1 is already priced in. Seniors 60 and above do better still at $38++, with no partner needed. Swensen's $61 Family Set feeds three with a burger, two mains, three MILO Bandung and a muah chee waffle. Remember most of these prices add 10% service charge and 9% GST unless stated as nett.

Swensen's is the easiest walk-in, with its SG-inspired menu running till 9 September — the longest of any deal here — and a $61 SG61 Family Set that feeds three. For a cheap same-day dinner, Springleaf Prata Place's Prata Smash Burger at $8.90 with a free hot teh tarik (till 31 August) is the reliable fallback.
