How to choose

  • Cheapest all-you-can-eat: Tenkaichi Standard Buffet, $29.80++ Mon-Thu. Students pay $22.80++ at weekday lunch.
  • Family with kids: Gyu-Kaku, where kids 12 and under pay half on every tier, and the $38.80++ Family Buffet runs Mon-Thu.
  • Charcoal flavour: Tajimaya grills over Japanese charcoal, with a buffet from $59.90++.
  • Eating alone: Yakiniku Like, one grill per seat. Its A5 Wagyu Set is half price for members until 28 September.
  • Near home, on a budget: Yakiniku-GO, 100g set from $11.90 in five heartland and suburban malls.
  • Miyazaki wagyu, unlimited: Wa-En at Jewel, $138 Mon-Thu for two or more.
  • A special occasion: YakiniQuest, wagyu omakase courses from $88++.

Before you book

  • Weekday is cheaper almost everywhere. Gyu-Kaku's Family Buffet is Mon-Thu only, Tenkaichi adds $5-$6 at weekends, Tajimaya adds $3 from Friday, and Wa-En's $138 price is Mon-Thu.
  • Read the wastage rule. Gyu-Kaku charges $10 per 100g, Tajimaya $30 per 100g and Wa-En $50 per 10g. Order in small rounds.
  • "++" adds about 20%. A $69.90++ buffet is roughly $83.80 once the 10% service charge and 9% GST go on.
  • Buffets are per table. Gyu-Kaku and Tenkaichi make the whole table take the same tier, and Tenkaichi and Wa-En need at least 2 adults.
  • Yakiniku vs Korean BBQ: yakiniku uses smaller, often thinner cuts dipped in tare after grilling, with rice on the side, where Korean BBQ wraps meat in lettuce with ssamjang and banchan.

How we checked

Every price, outlet and opening hour was read on 13 September 2026 from each restaurant's own website, menu PDF or buffet card: Gyu-Kaku's buffet menu and locations page, Tajimaya's promotions and contact pages plus its 2026 Premium Wagyu Buffet PDF, Tenkaichi's promotion page and buffet price card, Yakiniku-GO's March 2026 grand menu, locations and promotion pages, Wa-En's promotions page and Wagyu Buffet menu, and YakiniQuest's homepage. Yakiniku Like Singapore has no website, so its deal and outlet list come from its own campaign artwork (29 August to 28 September 2026). Deals without a printed end date (Gyu-Kaku's free sukiyaki, Tenkaichi's 1-for-1 wagyu, Yakiniku-GO's gacha, Wa-En's $138 price) can end without notice, so check before you go.
