The cheapest seat is I'm Kim's $14.90++ early-bird lunch at Dhoby Ghaut, which runs to 31 October, and its 4+1 group deal has been extended through October. Captain Kim's 2 FOR 1 ended on 21 September, but on 5 October its Tampines Junction and Junction 10 outlets had a $14.90++ halal early bird and 4-PLUS-1 running to 31 October. The name most Singaporeans think of first: Seoul Garden is a 2-in-1 Korean BBQ + steamboat buffet with grill-and-hotpot combo pots, marinated meats, seafood, ready-to-eat sides and a DIY sauce bar.IT IS HALAL: every one of its six trading outlets holds its own MUIS certificate, and all six were on the MUIS register on 22 Sep 2026, which makes it the only halal Korean BBQ buffet on this list with town outlets. CHECK THE OUTLET LIST BEFORE YOU GO. As at 22 Sep 2026, Seoul Garden's own outlet page lists six trading buffet restaurants: Bugis Junction, Marina Square, Tampines Mall (flagship), Northpoint City, The Clementi Mall and IMM (flagship). The value champion for town: I'm Kim is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ buffet tucked inside the School of the Arts (1 Zubir Said Drive, 3 mins from Bencoolen MRT or 5 mins from Dhoby Ghaut), with free-flow marinated meats, a self-serve banchan and side counter (tteokbokki, salads) and grill-at-your-table service. THE EARLY BIRD HAS BEEN REPRICED FOR SEPTEMBER, and not in your favour. The $12.90++ lunch and $20.90++ dinner ran only to 30 August 2026. From 1 SEPTEMBER TO 31 OCTOBER 2026 the same slots cost $14.90++ AT LUNCH and $21.90++ AT DINNER, and two conditions tightened alongside the price: the lunch window is now 11:30am to 12pm rather than 12:30pm, and the table is capped at 80 minutes rather than 90. Dinner stays 5:30pm to 6:30pm, weekends and public holidays 5pm to 6pm. You must follow the Facebook or Instagram page, book on the web link with 'EB' in the reservation notes, and tell the host before you walk in. For real charcoal flavour and a late supper: Don Dae Bak at 35 Kreta Ayer Road in Chinatown grills over actual charcoal, which burns hotter and gives marinated meats a smokier, more authentic taste than gas. Its Korean Charcoal BBQ Free-Flow Buffet is priced on its own menu at $34.90 for an adult and $21.90 for a child, same price every day, with the child rate limited to ages 6 to 11. Dining is capped at 90 minutes. The buffet centres on eight meats: bulgogi (marinated beef), chadolbagi (thinly sliced beef brisket), samgyeopsal (sliced pork belly), gochujang samgyeopsal (chilli-paste pork belly), moksal (pork collar), gangjang yangnyeom moksal (soy-marinated pork collar), and marinated chicken in soy and in chilli. Two things the menu spells out that write-ups skip: the beef brisket is limited to 150g per person while the other seven meats are unlimited, and the buffet includes one charcoal for every four people, so extra charcoal costs more. Mozzarella cheese is a $5 add-on. Open daily 11:30am to 5am, 365 days a year, so it's one of the few spots for a 2am KBBQ fix. Both the prices and the hours were re-confirmed on its own site on 9 Sep 2026, though note the menu images it publishes are dated April 2024, so this is a price that has held for over two years rather than a fresh one. A Tanjong Pagar crowd-pleaser with serious variety: Gogi Buffet offers 50+ free-flow items including its prized LA Galbi (cross-cut beef short ribs), a range of marinated pork and chicken, seafood, banchan, tteokbokki and cheese corn. Weekday lunch (Mon to Fri 12pm to 2:30pm) is $23++ for adults, $14++ for primary students and $10++ for N2/K1/K2, and you get 120 minutes, the most generous lunch window on this list. Dinner (Mon to Fri 5pm to 11pm) and the all-day weekend/PH buffet (12pm to 11pm) are both $32++ for adults, $20++ primary student, $16++ N2/K1/K2, capped at 100 minutes. Prices were read off the price board on Gogi's own booking page on 26 Aug 2026; on 9 Sep 2026 that board was no longer being served with the widget, so the figures stand from the August reading rather than a fresh one, though both outlets were still taking bookings on the same page that day. They are unchanged since our August audit, though they are up from the $22++ and $29.90++ we listed in July. A solid neighbourhood all-rounder in the west: Maru on Cheong Chin Nam Road (near Beauty World MRT) runs an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ buffet with 40+ items, from marinated meats and seafood to cheese scallops, kimchi pancake and banchan, with lunch from around $26.90++. Open daily 12pm to 11pm at 16 Cheong Chin Nam Road, tel 8183 4939, both re-confirmed on its OpenRice listing on 9 Sep 2026, where it is still listed as trading, and its Facebook page was live the same day. Three things to watch. First, Captain Kim's 2 FOR 1 has ended. It ran 7 to 21 September. The Clementi page still prints it, but its dates have passed, and the Tampines Junction and Junction 10 page has already taken it down. That left 4-PLUS-1 as its only promo in late September; on 5 October Captain Kim had renewed it for 1 to 31 October and added a $14.90++ early bird at Tampines Junction and Junction 10.
Second, I'm Kim's student deal changed shape. The 1+1 for pairs ended on 13 September. The new 2+1, 18 to 30 September, needs at least three students aged 23 and under: three pay for two, and a fourth pays the regular or student rate. It runs on fixed slots only (2pm lunch; 5.30pm dinner Mon to Fri, 5pm Sat and Sun) with an 80-minute cap. The brand does not say which base rate the two paying students are charged, so ask when you book.
Third, every discounted slot above needs you to follow the brand's Facebook or Instagram and tell the host before you are seated, and the I'm Kim deals also need the code typed into the reservation notes when you book online: EB, 2+1, 4+1 in September, or 4PLUS1 in October. Turn up without it and you pay the walk-in rate.
Seoul Garden is the most-searched name here, so it's worth setting out what it actually costs. These are the rates on Seoul Garden's own menu page as at 9 September 2026, unchanged since August, per person, before 10% service charge and 9% GST.

Four things worth knowing. First, Seoul Garden is halal. Each of its six trading outlets holds its own MUIS certificate, and all six were on the MUIS register on 22 September 2026, so Muslim diners have two Korean BBQ buffet chains to choose from here, not one.
Second, the chain shrank, and its next opening has slipped. Seoul Garden's own outlet page lists six buffet restaurants trading today: Bugis Junction, Marina Square, Tampines Mall (flagship), Northpoint City, The Clementi Mall and IMM (flagship). AMK Hub and Century Square are gone. A seventh, Aperia Mall at 12 Kallang Avenue #01-55/56, seating 102, was listed with an 18 September 2026 opening date; on 22 September the page still says "Opening Soon" but the date has been removed, and the outlet is not yet on the halal register. Call 6222 8339 before heading to Kallang. The six trading outlets run 11.30am to 10.30pm, last serving 9.45pm.
Third, the $15.90++ concession is a standing menu rate, not a promo. Students, seniors and NS personnel get it at any weekday lunch with the right card, and it saves $9 against the adult price.
Fourth, the $8.90++ senior Wednesday deal is still dead: it ran 3 June to 29 July 2026 and has not come back. Two campaigns are live instead. The Late-Night Buffet from $27.90++ (Mon to Thu, 8.30pm, last seating 9.45pm, premium upgrade +$5++, 100-plus grill and hotpot items) had a poster dating it 2 June to 31 August 2026; the promotions page still headlines it "The Late Night Buffet is back!" on 22 September with no end date printed at all, so treat it as open-ended and confirm when you book. And 2+2 Gentlemen Night runs the four Thursdays of September 2026 (3, 10, 17 and 24, so only the 24th is left), 4pm to 10.30pm, at all Singapore outlets: two gentlemen dine free with every two paying adults, minimum four diners including two gentlemen, Premium and Supreme tiers only, and everyone at the table must take the same tier. A table of four on Premium pays 2 x $39.90++, about $23.92 a head after service charge and GST. Note the ratio is fixed, so a group of six still gets only two free seats; book in fours or eights.
I'm Kim's $12.90++ headline is gone. The September rate is $14.90++, it is still an early-bird rate rather than the walk-in price, and the window has been cut from a full hour to thirty minutes. Turn up at 12.15pm instead of 11.35am and you pay the standard rate.

Children under 100cm eat free. At Clementi, a premium meats and seafood top-up costs $6++ per pax at lunch and is charged for every person at the table, so a family of five pays $30++ for it whether or not everyone eats the premium cuts. Dining time is 90 minutes at lunch, and at dinner 90 minutes for 2 to 3 pax or 110 minutes for 4 and above.
Re-checked on 5 October, Captain Kim runs three promos in October. 4-PLUS-1 at all three outlets, one free seat per four paying, Mon to Sun lunch and dinner, 1 to 31 October, 90 minutes. An early bird at Tampines Junction and Junction 10 only: $14.90++ at weekday lunch (11.30am to 12pm slots), $21.90++ at dinner (weekday 5.30pm, weekends and PH 5pm to 5.30pm), 1 to 31 October, 80 minutes, minimum 2 paying pax, EB in the online booking notes. And a student 2PLUS1 every Monday at all three outlets, minimum three students aged 23 and under, 2+1M in the booking notes. The September 2 FOR 1 ended on 21 September, and the $12.90++ early bird that August roundups quote has come back at $14.90++, not at the old price.

I'm Kim's 2+1 runs 18 to 30 September for groups of three or more students aged 23 and under, at a fixed 2pm lunch slot, but the brand does not publish which base rate the two paying students are charged, so ask when you book rather than assuming the $15.90++ student rate.
The two cheapest seats both need company: a pair for the early bird, a five for the 4-PLUS-1. The cheapest unconditional adult lunch, with no student card, no fixed slot and no follow-and-tell, is $18.90++ at either I'm Kim or Captain Kim, then Gogi's $23++.

For a proper charcoal grill and late supper, Don Dae Bak in Chinatown is open till 5am, while Gogi Buffet at Tanjong Pagar wins on variety with 50+ items including LA Galbi. There is no single best, so pick by price, location and whether you want gas, charcoal or halal.

I'm Kim is the one at Dhoby Ghaut, inside School of the Arts at 1 Zubir Said Drive, and it is NOT halal-certified: there is no halal claim anywhere on its official page and pork belly is a core buffet item. Captain Kim is the MUIS Halal-certified brand, and it has no town outlet at all. Its three outlets are Tampines (Income at Tampines Junction), Junction 10 at Bukit Panjang, and Clementi Grantral Mall. So if you searched for Captain Kim at Dhoby Ghaut, you are almost certainly thinking of I'm Kim: same operator, same buffet format, similar name, but only Captain Kim is halal. Neither is connected to Mr Kim or the other Kim-branded KBBQ names in Singapore. If you want a halal Korean BBQ buffet in town, Seoul Garden's Bugis Junction and Marina Square outlets are MUIS-certified.

Seoul Garden's own promotions page carries 2+2 Gentlemen Night: two gentlemen dine free with every two paying adults, on the four Thursdays of September 2026 (3, 10, 17 and 24), dinner only from 4pm to 10.30pm, at all Singapore outlets. It is not a true 1-for-1 though. A minimum of four diners is required with at least two gentlemen, the complimentary diners must be gentlemen (the two paying adults can be any gender), and it applies to the Premium tier and above only, so the cheapest Regular tier is excluded and everyone at the table must take the same tier. A table of four on Premium pays 2 x $39.90++ = $79.80++, about $23.92 a head after service charge and GST, which is still well under the roughly $41.85 a Regular-tier dinner costs. Note that a group of six gets only two free seats, so book in fours or eights. Outside that, Seoul Garden's promotions page also lists the Late-Night Buffet from $27.90++ (Mon to Thu, 8.30pm), Grab & Go bentos from $9.90 at Tampines Mall, and Supreme-tier add-ons such as salmon sashimi, wagyu rump and snow crab legs from $5.90++. Charcoal specialists like Don Dae Bak burn real charcoal, which runs hotter and gives the meat a smokier, more authentic flavour that many Koreans prefer, but it's smokier and usually pricier. Don Dae Bak also includes only one charcoal per four diners, so a table of six pays extra for the second. If you want fuss-free, air-conditioned grilling with a big variety and steamboat too, go gas. If you're chasing that char and smoke on marinated galbi, go charcoal.
