Yakiniku Like Singapore has opened this month's Members' Ni Ku Promo, and it is the strongest one it has run since January: 50% off the A5 Wagyu Set 150g, usual price $25.90, from Saturday 29 August to Monday 28 September 2026.
> Quick view: $12.95 for 150g of A5 Miyazaki wagyu plus rice, soup and a side, $15.53 once the service charge and GST go on. Foodie San members, minimum spend $40 nett, all 13 outlets. The catch: the $40 is written nett, membership has to exist before you order, and the poster prints nothing but "T&Cs Apply" where the stacking and dine-in rules should be.

What the poster actually says
Five things, and only five, are printed on Yakiniku Like's own artwork:
- MEMBERS' NI KU PROMO, twice, along the top band
- 50% OFF
- A5 WAGYU SET 150G, WITH MIN. $40 NETT
- 29 AUG - 28 SEP
- (U.P. $25.90), beside the plate, with the Miyazaki wagyu seal on it
And one line of small print at the very bottom: "Price is subjected to 10% service charge and prevailing GST. Images for reference only. T&Cs Apply."
That last line is the one that decides what you pay.
The real number on the bill
| Full price | With this promo | |
|---|---|---|
| Menu price | $25.90 | $12.95 |
| Plus 10% service charge | $28.49 | $14.25 |
| Plus 9% GST | $31.05 | $15.53 |
So the discount is worth $15.52 in actual money, and 150g of A5 wagyu with rice and soup lands at $15.53, or $10.35 per 100g of wagyu once charges are in.
The comparison the poster does not make
Yakiniku Like runs a separate Daily Value Deals promotion, 30% off one featured item a day when you buy any set meal. Monday's item is A5 Wagyu 100g, and the brand's own artwork prints its usual price as $23.90.
Run both through the same arithmetic:
| This promo | Monday's Daily Value Deal | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | A5 Wagyu Set 150g, with rice, soup and a side | A5 Wagyu 100g, meat only |
| Usual price | $25.90 | $23.90 |
| Discount | 50% | 30% |
| You pay, before charges | $12.95 | $16.73 |
| Per 100g of wagyu | $8.63 | $16.73 |
| Also required | Min. $40 nett, membership | Purchase of any set meal |
Half the price per 100g, and it comes with rice and soup. One honest caveat: these are not the same plate. The brand's own pricing gives it away, because $23.90 buys 100g a la carte while $25.90 buys 150g plus rice and soup, which only makes sense if the cuts differ. The material circulating with this campaign describes the set's meat as A5 Miyazaki wagyu brisket, and brisket sits below the premium a la carte cuts. Compare the per-100g figure, but do not expect an identical slice.
The $40 nett bar, and how to clear it
The poster says min. $40 nett and stops. It does not define "nett", and it does not say whether the discounted set counts toward the total. Two readings:
- $40 of menu prices. The harder bar.
- $40 of final bill, service charge and GST included. That is only about $33.36 of menu prices, because 1.10 x 1.09 = 1.199.
Order $40 of menu-priced food and you are safe under either reading. Assume the wagyu set itself does not count toward the bar; that is the stricter reading and the usual way these are written.
Yakiniku Like does not publish a dine-in price list online. Its foodpanda menu at PLQ Mall gives an indication, though delivery prices run above the counter: pork belly a la carte is $7.60 on foodpanda against the $6.90 the brand prints on its own artwork, about 10% more. On that menu, Pork & Chicken Set $15.80, Pork Belly Set $17.80, Karubi Set $19.80 and Karubi & Harami Set $23.80. Treat those as ceilings. Two set meals between two people clears $40 of menu prices comfortably.
Why it always starts on the 29th
Ni-ku reads as 2-9 in Japanese, and it is also the word for meat. That is the entire joke, and it is why the Members' Ni Ku Promo runs the 29th of one month to the 28th of the next rather than on calendar months.
Yakiniku Like Singapore has kept that cycle all year and changed the offer every time: a 250g A5 Wagyu LIKE Set at half price from 29 January, a $2.90 LIKE Set in March, a free $7.90 Salmon Butteryaki from 29 March, 10% off a set for two from 29 April, an A5 Wagyu pork belly set at $2.90 from 29 May, and 10% off the three-person Yakiniku Matsuri Set from 29 July.
So expect a new members' promo on 29 September, and expect it to be a different deal. The 50% wagyu idea has surfaced twice in eight months, on two different sets.

Before you go
- Sign up to Foodie San first. It is free and it is Yakiniku Like's own app, but it will not help you at the till if you start the download while the staff wait.
- Assume it is dine-in and does not stack. The poster says only "T&Cs Apply", and every earlier Ni Ku run carried a non-combinable condition.
- Ask whether the wagyu set counts toward the $40 when you order, not after.
- One per member per visit is the safe assumption. No limit is printed, which is not the same as no limit existing.
