Sephora's Beauty Pass Sale is on — and for the first 24 hours it is not on for you.

> Quick view: Beauty Pass Sale, now on till Sun 30 Aug 2026. So far it is Gold tier only: 20% off your total purchase with no minimum spend, plus 30% off Sephora Collection, running online since 24 Aug 10pm and in stores from 25 Aug. Everyone else gets in from 25 Aug, 10pm online and in-app — Sephora's site banner says "UP TO 20% OFF", and it has not published the White and Black rates on its own page yet. The catch is printed on Sephora's own artwork: "Discounts cannot be combined." So the 20% does not stack on the up-to-50% Miss Markdowns, and the standing 10%-off-for-500-points perk is switched off for the whole sale week.

What is actually running

Sephora Singapore's sale landing page is carrying three things at once:

  • SEPHORA COLLECTION STEALS — up to 30% off its own-brand skincare and makeup
  • MISS MARKDOWNS — clearance at up to 50% off, described on the page as gone for good afterwards
  • HOT DEALS ONLY AT SEPHORA — exclusives at up to 20% off

On top of that sits the tier discount, which is the part people actually queue for. Right now the page is headed "Gold Priority Access Now On", and the campaign artwork reads BEAUTY PASS SALE — NOW ON TILL 30 AUG, with two circles: SEPHORA COLLECTION 30% OFF and PRIORITY ACCESS — GOLD TIER 20% OFF.

The Gold-only terms, word for word

This matters because almost every repost of this sale says "up to 20% off" and stops there. Sephora's own terms, opened from the Terms and Conditions button on the sale page, are specific:

"Exclusive for Sephora Gold Tier Members only: Receive early access to the Beauty Pass Sale from 24 August 2026 (10:00pm SGT) to 30 August 2026 (11.59pm SGT) on sephora.sg, Sephora Singapore mobile app and at all Sephora Singapore stores (during store operating hours) on 25 August 2026."

Then, under the heading Gold Tier Members Only:

  • 20% off the total amount of your purchase with no minimum spend
  • 30% off Sephora Collection with no minimum spend
  • a limited-edition Sephora Phone Wristlet with a minimum spend of $180 (excluding delivery)
  • a limited-edition Sephora Tote Bag with a minimum spend of $300 (excluding delivery)

Every one of those four lines sits under "Gold Tier Members Only". The gifts are not written as a sale-wide offer.

When you get in, if you are not Gold

Sephora's site-wide banner is running one line across every page: **"BEAUTY PASS SALE | 25 AUG 10PM | UP TO 20% OFF*". That is the general-access moment — Tuesday 25 August from 10pm**, online and in-app, with stores following the next morning.

What Sephora has not put on its own page is the rate for the lower tiers. Deal listings covering this sale are quoting Black 15% and White 10%, with in-store access from 26 August, 10am — plausible, and consistent with how Sephora has run this before, but it is not on sephora.sg as we publish. Treat it as a strong indication, not a promise: at least one mall's listing for a "Beauty Pass Sale" is still serving an older structure entirely (White 15%, Black and Gold 20%, and 25% at a $300 spend), which is exactly how a reposted tier table goes stale. Open the Terms and Conditions button on the sale page after 10pm tonight and read the number that applies to your own card before you build a basket around it.

The line that kills the best-looking basket

The footnote on Sephora's artwork is one sentence: "T&Cs, brand exclusions and limitations apply. Discounts cannot be combined."

The terms spell out what that means. The tier discount is "not valid on sale items, gift cards, services, charitable items or any other exclusions, vouchers, discounts and promotions."

So the two biggest numbers on the page are mutually exclusive. Miss Markdowns at up to 50% off and your 20% are not additive — a $60 serum marked to $30 stays $30. The 20% is for full-price stock. If you were planning to point the tier discount at the clearance rail, that plan does not exist.

Two named brand exclusions as well: the offer is not valid on The Ordinary and Dyson products. Those are two of the most commonly baskets-filled brands in the shop, and Dyson in particular is where a percentage would have been worth real money.

The perk Sephora switches off during its own sale

Buried in the same terms: Beauty Pass perks and Rewards Boutique redemptions do run during the sale, with two exceptions that are not available"10% off with utilization of 500 points", and samples.

Read that against the tier table. If the widely-quoted White = 10% is right, then a White member's entire sale benefit this week is the same 10% they could have bought with 500 points on any ordinary Tuesday — except that during the sale week, they cannot. The sale does not improve a White member's position at all; it swaps a perk they controlled for a discount that arrives automatically and expires Sunday.

For a Black member at 15%, the sale is worth 5 points over the standing perk. For Gold at 20%, it is worth 10, plus the gifts and a 24-hour head start on stock.

Gifts: $180 and $300, measured before the discount

One detail worth pausing on. The minimum spend for both gifts is "based on the total amount before the discount" — so a Gold member spending $190 still clears the $180 wristlet threshold even though they pay about $152. That is in your favour, and it is the opposite of how most GWP thresholds are written.

The caps: a Gold member can receive a maximum of one wristlet and one tote across the whole sale period, and one wristlet OR one tote within the same order. So the $300 basket in a single order gets you the tote, not both — you would need two separate orders, one clearing $180 and one clearing $300, to end the week with both. Gifts are while stocks last, one-time per member, and not refundable or exchangeable.

The refund line nobody reads

"Items purchased during the sale are not exchangeable or refundable, except as required by law."

This is a normal sale clause and it is also the reason not to gamble on a foundation shade at 20% off. Sephora's usual comfort — buy it, try it, bring it back — is suspended for the week. Buy the things you already know, and get shade-matched in store before you commit to anything new.

Two more practical things

  • Free shipping is $35 for everyone, and unlimited free shipping is a Gold-only benefit on the official Beauty Pass table. If you are White or Black and ordering at 10pm tonight, keep the $35 in mind — the delivery fee can eat a 10% discount on a small basket.
  • Deliveries of online purchases made during the sale period may be delayed, per the terms. If you need something for a specific date, buy it in store.

Which tier are you?

Straight from Sephora's own Beauty Pass page, tiers are set by spend per 12-month period:

  • White — free to join
  • Black$300 in 12 months
  • Gold$1,500 in 12 months

Gold is the only tier that gets Beauty Pass Sale early access, free shipping, exclusive events, a welcome gift, a retention gift and the Fresh Indulgence birthday facial. Black and Gold both get the Benefit birthday brow service. Every tier gets the Rewards Boutique, birthday double points, members-only promotions and the sale itself.

If you are sitting just under $1,500 for the year, this sale is the cheapest moment to cross it — but the tier upgrade lands after the spend, so it buys you the next sale, not this one.

How to play it

  1. Gold: you are already in. Build one order over $300 for the tote, and if you want the wristlet too, split it into a second order over $180. Skip the clearance rail — your 20% does not apply there.
  2. Black or White: set an alarm for 10pm tonight, open the Terms and Conditions on the sale page, and check your actual rate before you check out. Cross $35 for free shipping.
  3. Everyone: price the Miss Markdowns items separately from the full-price basket. They are already discounted and your tier percentage will not touch them, so the only question on clearance is whether the marked price is good on its own.
  4. Nobody: buy a shade you have not tested. There are no exchanges this week.
