Sheng Siong opened its Rivervale Mall store on Thursday 4 September 2026, and put the full opening advertisement on its own corporate site the same morning. The sheet is a 7 Days Special, and one red band across the middle of it decides how you read every price on the page: Exclusive @ 11 Rivervale Crescent, Rivervale Mall. Seven days, one address.

The store
11 Rivervale Crescent, Rivervale Mall #03-01, Singapore 545082. Daily 7.00am to 11.00pm, store line 6514 8105. The map printed on the advertisement puts the mall beside Rumbia LRT (SE2) on the Sengkang LRT east loop, with Rivervale Crescent on one side and the Tampines Expressway on the other.
This one was announced in advance. In its 1H FY2026 results release of 29 July 2026, Sheng Siong Group said it expected three more stores, in Hougang, Rivervale (Sengkang) and Woodlands, to open in the third quarter, on top of the four it had already opened in the first half at Canberra Crescent, Smith Street and New Bridge Centre, Sembawang Crescent and Alkaff Crescent. Rivervale is the one that has now landed.
The opening ceremony ran at 10am on 4 September with a lion dance and gong ceremony, and the store gave out free ice cream and balloons on a first-come first-served basis.
The three mechanics that need a spend
These are the parts of the sheet worth planning a basket around, because none of them is a straight shelf discount.

The free gifts are limited to one redemption per receipt, while stocks last, and the poster excludes cigarettes, liquors, Sheng Siong vouchers and infant milk powder stages 1 and 2 from the qualifying spend. So a $75 basket that includes a $20 carton of cigarettes does not reach the $70 tier.
The king crab is the number people will travel for. At $18.80 against a printed usual of $69.43 it is a 72% cut, and because it is keyed to every $88 spent rather than to one qualifying receipt, a $352 shop unlocks the full four-piece cap.

Sheng Siong badges this section exclusive, which is the point of it: these are the lines you cannot price-check against another chain.

The fine print that changes the maths
The 3-unit cap. The red band under the opening panel states that purchases are limited to a maximum of three units per product per customer per transaction, unless otherwise stated. That matters more here than on a normal sheet, because the deepest cuts are already sold as bundles: the Tasty Bites chicken breast is priced *for 3*, the seaweed *for 3*, the Oatside *for 3*. Where a bundle and the cap collide, the till is the authority, so decide at the shelf rather than at the checkout.
The deposit on cans. The terms state that advertised prices for applicable beverages exclude the BCRS 10c deposit per can or bottle. On a 24-can carton that is $2.40, so the $10.95 Coca-Cola carton is $13.35 paid, the $10.95 100PLUS carton the same, the $41.80 Carlsberg $44.20 and the $40.50 Tiger $42.90. You get it back when you return the empties at a return point, but it is on the receipt on the day.
The 4am start. Promotional offers are stated as available from 0400hrs onwards, subject to stock availability. The store itself opens at 7am, so in practice that line means the prices are live from the moment the doors open on each of the seven days.
Everything else. While stocks last, on a first-come first-served basis. No traders allowed. Exclusions apply. Prices are stated as correct at the time of printing, and Sheng Siong reserves the right to amend or withdraw any promotional privilege without notice. Only selected items are available for online purchase, so the store-only framing is real.
The discounts that depend on which day you go
The footer of the advertisement carries two loyalty discounts, and neither is a daily one.
