Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November 2026, and most festive kitchens deliver only from 20-22 October. We read the 2026 murukku, cookie, mithai and hamper prices of six Singapore shops on their own stores on 1 October.
Deepavali is on Sunday 8 November this year, with Monday 9 November off, and most festive kitchens only start delivering around 20 October.
> Quick view: cheapest is SnackFirst, murukku from $4.90 and gift boxes from $9.90; mithai boxes run $30-$148; the catch is that Rise & Thrive closes orders on 2 November and the mithai shops only deliver from 20-22 October.
How we checked
Every price, discount and delivery window above was read on each shop's own online store on 1 October 2026, not copied from last year's roundups (several 2025 lists still quote murukku at old prices, and one home baker from them has every 2026 item sold out). Deepavali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November, with Monday 9 November as the public holiday in lieu.
How to choose Deepavali goodies
- For an open house, buy murukku in bulk: SnackFirst's 500g bags ($16.90) or 3kg tin ($45) work out far cheaper than gift jars.
- For gifts, decide between snacks and mithai: murukku and cookies keep for weeks, but fresh mithai is perishable. Shahi Maharani asks you to finish its preservative-free sweets within three days, so time delivery close to the visit.
- Watch the start dates: Adda only releases boxes from 20 October and Shahi Maharani from 22 October. Order now and pick a date in the first week of November.
- For the office, ask about logos and volume: Adda prints custom logos on orders above 30 boxes, and SnackFirst's build-your-own gift boxes start at $9.90 each.
- Check dietary notes: Mdm Ling marks Halal-certified, vegetarian and vegan-friendly flavours, Rise & Thrive's murukku is made in a Muslim-run home kitchen, and most mithai is milk-based, so vegans should ask Adda or Shahi Maharani before ordering.
