9 Best Bakery Chains in Singapore (2026): Which Are Halal, Délifrance's $6 Pie Tuesdays, and the Mid-Autumn Deals Now On at BreadTalk and PrimaDéli

Bread is the cheapest good meal in Singapore if you buy it on the right day. We've rounded up the 9 best bakery chains for 2026, each with its CURRENT verified promo, outlet count, price range and MUIS halal status, answered brand by brand: is BreadTalk halal, is Four Leaves halal, is Duke Bakery halal? (No, no and not certified. We checked all nine against the government HalalSG register on 29 August 2026 and four came back certified.) Delifrance runs $6 Pie Tuesdays at every outlet until 29 December 2026 (U.P. $8.50-$8.90). Two deals end within days: BreadTalk's 15% off 4-piece Thye Moh Chan mooncake sets on 14 September, and Delifrance's own Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappe on 15 September. PrimaDeli has swapped in a September Cake of the Month, the Peach & Longan Delight at $28.80 instead of $36 until 30 September, and its Mid-Autumn range is 20% off online from $44.80. Polar's mooncake discount has narrowed to 15% for Polaris+ members only, until 27 September. Plus Tiong Bahru Bakery's free croissant with any 3 viennoiseries, Paris Baguette's buy-4-get-the-5th-free (and where it does not run), Swee Heng's 79 certified outlets, and the Four Leaves outlet that shut for renovation on 5 September.

Bread is quietly one of the best-value meals in Singapore, if you turn up on the right day of the week.

> Quick view: Top pick Délifrance does $6 savoury pies every Tuesday to 29 Dec 2026 (U.P. $8.50–$8.90). Buns from under $2, celebration cakes from $28.80, mooncakes from $44.80. The catch: four of the nine chains are on the HalalSG register, and BreadTalk is not one of them.

Délifrance: $6 Savoury Pies EVERY Tuesday Until 29 Dec 2026 (U.P. $8.50–$8.90), Halal-Certified

Délifrance: $6 Savoury Pies EVERY Tuesday Until 29 Dec 2026 (U.P. $8.50–$8.90), Halal-Certified

The best-value recurring bakery deal in Singapore right now. Délifrance's 'Tasty Tuesdays' puts its freshly baked savoury pies at a flat $6 every Tuesday from 14 July to 29 December 2026, at all outlets islandwide, with no promo code, no membership and no minimum spend, while stocks last, capped at 4 pies per customer. Flavours vary by outlet but typically include Tuna Mushroom, Chicken Curry, Chicken Mushroom (all $8.50 usual) and Chicken Bolognese ($8.90 usual), so you save $2.50–$2.90 per pie. Two more offers run alongside it: a limited Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappé are on from 15 July to 15 September 2026 at all cafés, and selected signature sandwiches and pies are $6.10 from 1 July to 31 October. Read the small print on that second one before you plan a trip around it. It runs daily only from 3pm to closing, is capped at 2 items per transaction, cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or vouchers, and is valid at Délifrance Cafés only, not at the Délifrance Express Corners. One number worth knowing before you decide the Tuesday saving: Délifrance's own pie page carries a standing any-2-pies-for-$15 offer, so on a non-Tuesday a pair costs $7.50 each, not $8.50–$8.90. Against that the Tuesday price still wins, but by $1.50 a pie rather than $2.50–$2.90. The Tampines 1 outlet also has a Croissant Bar with customisable croffles and unlimited toppings. Fourteen Délifrance premises are listed on the government's HalalSG register, checked 29 August 2026. BEST FOR: a genuinely filling hot lunch under $7, and halal households.

$6 savoury pies every Tuesday (U.P. $8.50–$8.90) at all outlets till 29 Dec 2026, no code, no min spend. Plus Beef Rendang Pie & Milo Frappé 15 Jul–15 Sep, and $6.10 signature sandwiches/pies till 31 Oct (3pm to closing, max 2 per transaction, Cafés only). 14 premises on the HalalSG register.

BreadTalk: The Flosss Bun Benchmark, Plus a Johnsonville Sausage-Bun Collab and Hanjuku Cheese

The 'Life Well Baked' 26th-anniversary run is over: the '6 selected buns for $10.80' sale finished on 26 July 2026, and the 1-for-1 Palmier French Pastry gift set and $10 Strawberry Japan Light Cheesecake both ended with July. What has replaced it is Mid-Autumn, and our 16 August check was simply too early to catch it. BreadTalk's promotions page now leads on 'A Mid-Autumn in Full Bloom', a collaboration with Teochew pastry house Thye Moh Chan, carrying an Early Bird discount of 15% off 4-piece mooncake sets in stores until 14 September 2026. Boxes start at $39.80 for the Moonlit Blossoms 4-piece and $25.60 for the 2-piece Blossoms in Pairs, with singles at $13.30 (Red Date Longan, Teochew Double Delight, Sweet Tau Sar with Melon Seeds, Salty Tau Sar with Salted Egg Yolk) and $15.30 for the Yuan Yang with Salted Egg Yolk. The discount is in-store, and it does not run at seven outlets: 313@somerset, BreadTalk IHQ, Chinatown Point, Geneo, Jurong Point, NEX and Sixth Avenue. What's on the counter year-round is still the reason to go: BreadTalk remains the Flosss bun benchmark, and it currently carries a Johnsonville sausage-bun collaboration (Cheddar Margherita and Pepper It Up, excluded at 16 named outlets) and a Japanese-style Hanjuku Cheese dessert at all outlets, plus a reworked Apple Worm, Tuna Bun and a Red Cheddar-and-Gouda Cheese Toast. Bring your own bag: the first carrier bag is free, extras are 10 cents. Is BreadTalk halal? No, it is NOT MUIS halal-certified, its own FAQ says so, and several products contain pork floss. BEST FOR: stocking up on buns for the week, and floss-bun loyalists.

Mid-Autumn Early Bird: 15% off 4pc mooncake sets in stores till 14 Sep 2026 (Thye Moh Chan collab). Boxes from $39.80 (4pc) and $25.60 (2pc); singles $13.30–$15.30. Not at 313@somerset, BreadTalk IHQ, Chinatown Point, Geneo, Jurong Point, NEX or Sixth Avenue. Not MUIS halal-certified.

Paris Baguette: Now Halal-Certified at EVERY Singapore Outlet, Buy 4 Breads Get the 5th Free

The biggest change in Singapore's bakery scene this year: as of February 2026, every Paris Baguette outlet in Singapore is halal-certified, a rare thing for a full-service Korean-style bakery café with cakes, sandwiches and hot food. The government's HalalSG register lists 29 Paris Baguette premises, checked 29 August 2026, and they include the Jewel and Changi Airport Terminal 2, 3 and 4 units. On the everyday deals front: pick any 5 breads, loaves or pastries and the lowest-priced one is free (Madeleine Bears excluded, and the offer does not run at Jewel Changi Airport or Changi Airport Terminals 2, 3 and 4); any 2 roll cakes are $25 instead of $32 (Sweet Peach, Choco & Berry Duo or Hazelnut & Caramel Duo); and on weekdays from 8–11am you get 50% off a drink with a breakfast item. If you're eating in, there's also 50% off any starter when you order a main from the risotto and pasta menu. PB Rewards members get a 1-for-1 drink after their first transaction, a free sliced or short cake in their birthday month with $10 spend (plus 1.5x Baguettes points on the first birthday-month transaction), and $2 referral vouchers (the friend you refer gets 50% off a sliced or short cake); UOB cardholders get free garlic fries above $30 in a single receipt. Recent launches include Bingsu Cake, Gimbap Wraps and chewy mochi buns. BEST FOR: halal cakes and café food, and Korean-bakery cravings.

Halal-certified at every Singapore outlet (since Feb 2026). Buy 4 breads, 5th free (excl. Madeleine Bears); any 2 roll cakes $25 (U.P. $32); 50% off a drink with breakfast, weekdays 8–11am; birthday-month free sliced cake with $10 spend.

Tiong Bahru Bakery: The Croissant Benchmark, With a Free Croissant on Any 3 Viennoiseries (18 Outlets)

Since 2012, Tiong Bahru Bakery has been the reference point for French-style baking in Singapore. Its own locations page lists 18 addresses islandwide (Wisma Atria counts twice, with separate B1 and Level 3 shops), plus a first overseas outpost in Manila. The staples people queue for are the shio pans, croissants, canelés, lemon tarts and cheesy sandwiches; the pastry counter rotates through creations like the Bergamot Lavender Tart, Matcha Basque Cheesecake, Black Sesame Choux, Peach Oolong Entremet and Pistachio Bombe. THE SG61 RANGE HAS GONE. The 'Hooked on Local Flavours' collection (Otah Pain Suisse, Beef Satay Shio Pan, Pandan Coconut Tart and Financier, Kopi Chendol) is no longer anywhere on the site, checked 7 September 2026, and two September offers have taken its place: a FREE Plain Croissant or Salted Shio Pan when you buy any 3 viennoiseries, and 50% off a bottle of orange juice with any purchase, running all September. TBB publishes no detail beyond 'T&Cs apply' on either, so check the counter sign. The TBB Crumb Club app is worth downloading if you go regularly: you earn a digital stamp on every transaction above $10, unlock tiered perks and member-only offers, and can pre-order to skip the queue. Note: Tiong Bahru Bakery is NOT MUIS halal-certified and its menu includes pork items. BEST FOR: croissants, canelés, and stacking three pastries to get a fourth free.

Polar Puffs & Cakes: Both August Deals Are Off the Board; What Is Left Is 15% Off Mooncakes, and Only for Polaris+ Members

Singapore's oldest bakery, founded in 1926. BOTH AUGUST DEALS ARE GONE. The Chicken Rendang Puff buy-2-get-1-free (3 for $7.40 against a usual $11.10) has been taken off Polar's promotions page entirely, and the centenary Old Polar Cake (Mini) 2026 Edition at $6.20, which the brand ran under the name 100 Years Of Calling Polar Home, was dated 1 to 31 August only, with pre-orders closing on 26 August at noon. What is still running is the MID-AUTUMN COLLECTION, and the useful half of it has already passed: the 20% early bird was open to everyone but ran only from 27 July to 16 August. From 17 AUGUST TO 27 SEPTEMBER 2026 the discount is 15% AND POLARIS+ MEMBERS ONLY, on pre-orders and walk-in purchases alike, with the last pre-order at noon on 18 September, last self-collection at One Raffles Place at 3.30pm on 26 September and everywhere else on 27 September. Note what that does to the SAFRA discount below: mooncakes are festive products, so the 10% cannot be used on them, and the two cannot be stacked in any case. Membership perks are unusually good, though the SAFRA one is narrower than it sounds: SAFRA's own page puts it at 10% off with a minimum $10 spend, valid at standalone Polar outlets but not at those inside convenience stores, petrol stations or supermarkets, and it excludes festive products, licensed character cakes, photo cakes, party boxes, 3D cakes and delivery charges. So it will not take anything off a mooncake. NTUC Link Card by Trust members also get 10% off, ShopBack gives 3% cashback, and there's free local delivery above $160 with self-collection points islandwide. On halal: Polar describes itself as a halal bakery, but we could not find it on the government's HalalSG register on 29 August 2026, so ask to see the outlet's certificate if that matters to your household. BEST FOR: curry puffs and nostalgia cakes.

The Chicken Rendang Puff 3-for-$7.40 is off the promotions page and the $6.20 centenary Old Polar Cake ended with August. Live now: Mid-Autumn Floral Elegance at 15% off for Polaris+ members only, 17 Aug to 27 Sep 2026 (the 20% early bird for everyone closed 16 Aug); last pre-order 18 Sep 12pm, last collection 27 Sep. SAFRA members 10% off with min $10 spend (standalone outlets only, festive products excluded, so not on mooncakes); NTUC Link (Trust) 10% off; 3% ShopBack cashback; free delivery above $160. Swee Heng: Halal Since 1989, 79 Certified Premises, Buns Typically Under $2

The everyday workhorse. Swee Heng has been baking since 1989, is halal-certified, and carries 79 premises on the government's HalalSG register as of 29 August 2026, baked out of a central kitchen at 16 Senoko Avenue, which is why you'll find one in most HDB town centres and MRT-linked malls. Buns usually cost under $2 apiece, and the chain runs frequent (though inconsistent) in-store bundles such as 4 buns for around $3, so it pays to check the counter sign rather than assume. Beyond bread, the range covers cakes for birthdays and celebrations with islandwide delivery: its online store gives 5% off orders above $150, and 10% off plus free shipping above $300. The Swee Heng mobile app carries member-exclusive perks. BEST FOR: cheap daily bread, halal households, and anyone who wants a bakery within walking distance.

Halal-certified; 79 premises on the HalalSG register; buns typically under $2 with frequent in-store bundles. Online store: 5% off above $150, 10% off + free shipping above $300.

PrimaDeli: Singapore's Biggest Halal Bakery Franchise, September's $28.80 Peach & Longan Cake and 20% Off Mooncakes

PrimaDeli is Singapore's first and biggest home-grown halal bakery franchise, carrying 24 premises on the HalalSG register as of 29 August 2026. It is the practical choice when you need a decent cake today rather than in three days. August's Fruit Flan has been retired and September's Cake of the Month is the PEACH & LONGAN DELIGHT, marked from $36 to $28.80 (20% off) for 1 to 30 September 2026: layers of light vanilla sponge studded with diced longan, crowned with peaches and longans. Order by 30 September, with collection or delivery by 2 October; it can't be combined with other promotions. The bigger reason to look now is Mid-Autumn. PrimaDeli's Mid-Autumn 2026 range is live with 20% already taken off online: White Lotus Paste with Double Yolk (4pcs) is $52 from $65, Single Yolk $48.80 from $61, Pure Lotus with Single Yolk and the Mini Moonlit Jewels Gift Set both $50.40 from $63, White Lotus with Melon Seeds $48 from $60, Mini Moonlit Golden Treasures $45.60 from $57 and Mini Moonlit Snow Treasures $44.80 from $56, with a Moonlit Bunny at $24. PrimaDeli publishes no end date for that discount, so treat it as an early-bird price rather than a fixed window. There is also a standing Flash Deal, a Matcha Crepe Slice at $2.50. We re-checked all eight Mid-Autumn listings on 7 September 2026 and every price still held, though the Mini Moonlit Jewels Gift Set had lost its Add to Cart button. Everyday buns, buns-with-floss, curry puffs and pastries fill the counter, and you can order whole cakes ahead via Dial-A-Cake on 6276 3333. BEST FOR: budget celebration cakes, halal households, and last-minute pick-ups.

Cake of the Month: Peach & Longan Delight $28.80 (U.P. $36), 1–30 Sep 2026 (order by 30 Sep, collect/delivery by 2 Oct, not stackable). Four Leaves: 31 Listed Mall Outlets, Two of Them Shut, and a $2.60 Japan Sweet Potato Sio Pan

Four Leaves is the neighbourhood-mall staple, with 31 outlets listed on its own store locator: Causeway Point, Nex, Compass One, AMK Hub, Northpoint City, White Sands, Parkway Parade, Tampines Mall, Raffles City, Suntec City, Bugis Junction and more. The counter runs to soft Japanese-style loaves, floss and savoury buns, chiffon and chocolate cakes (the Chocolate Classico is a long-running signature) and daily bakes priced for a weekday grab. Its 10% National Day discount was an in-store offer tied to the SG61 period and is long gone: the brand's /promotions/ URL now returns a 404, and the promotions it does run live at /promotional/ as posters with no text. Two of those posters were uploaded in September 2026, and both are launches rather than discounts: a SIO PAN SWEET POTATO at $2.60 a piece, made with Naruto Kintoki Japanese sweet potato, and an improved-recipe ARABIKI PORK SAUSAGE BUN at $2.70. TWO OF THE 31 LISTED OUTLETS ARE NOT TRADING. The HarbourFront Centre shop closed permanently on 26 July 2026 when the mall shut for redevelopment, and the store locator now carries a second notice on JEM (50 Jurong Gateway Road, #B1-K02): closed for renovation from 5 September 2026, with no reopening date given. Check the locator rather than an old map pin. Is Four Leaves halal? No, it is NOT MUIS halal-certified, and halalSG has said no application was submitted. BEST FOR: a reliable mall bakery near the MRT, and soft Asian-style loaves.

No discount running. September 2026 in-store posters are launches: Sio Pan Sweet Potato $2.60 (Naruto Kintoki Japanese sweet potato) and an improved-recipe Arabiki Pork Sausage Bun $2.70. 31 outlets listed, but two are shut: HarbourFront Centre closed permanently on 26 Jul 2026, and JEM has been closed for renovation since 5 Sep 2026. Duke Bakery: Low-Sugar, Low-Fat Artisan Loaves ($5.50–$6.90) + PAssion Card 5% Off Till 31 Dec 2026

For people who read the label. Duke Bakery builds its range around naturally fermented, handmade loaves using what it calls high-quality natural ingredients, aiming for low sugar, low fat and low calories without giving up flavour. It has 13 outlets islandwide including Bedok Mall, Causeway Point, Chinatown Point, City Square Mall, Citylink Mall, myVillage @ Serangoon Garden, Sengkang Grand Mall and The Centrepoint. Signature loaves are priced $5.50–$6.90: the 10-Multi Grain Toast at $5.70, Chocolate and Blue Mt. Coffee at $6.90 and Bruce Blueberry at $5.50. PAssion Card holders get 5% off regular-priced items with a minimum $10 spend, valid till 31 December 2026. Show the card or eCard at checkout; it covers bread and cake purchases only, and it cannot be combined with other discounts, Foodline vouchers, FavePay or ShopeePay promos. onePA lists 11 participating outlets, so check yours is on it: Bedok Mall, Causeway Point, Chinatown Point, City Square Mall, Citylink Mall, myVillage, Sengkang Grand Mall, The Centrepoint, Thomson Plaza, United Square and White Sands. Is Duke Bakery halal? Not in the certified sense. It does not appear on the MUIS HalalSG register, so nothing in its range is independently verified. Some third-party halal directories describe it as pork-free, but a 'no pork, no lard' kitchen is not the same as MUIS certification, and Duke publishes no halal statement of its own. If certification matters to you, one of the five certified chains above is the safer choice. BEST FOR: healthier loaves for the household, and PAssion Card holders.

PAssion Card: 5% off regular-priced items with min $10 spend, valid till 31 Dec 2026 (bread & cake only, not stackable). Signature loaves $5.50–$6.90 across 13 outlets. Not MUIS halal-certified (no pork or lard).

How we checked

We went through all nine chains' own official pages again on 7 September 2026, re-reading every price and end date off the brand's own site rather than a deal blog. The halal statuses below come from a search of the government's HalalSG establishment register on 29 August 2026, not from the chains' own wording. Bakery promos here scatter across brand apps, PAssion and SAFRA tie-ups, and week-long anniversary sales that vanish before you hear about them, so a deal that ran last month is usually gone.

The deals worth planning around

  • Délifrance, every Tuesday until 29 December 2026: savoury pies at a flat $6 (usual $8.50–$8.90) at all outlets, no code, no minimum spend. This is the cheapest hot meal on the list, and it repeats weekly for four more months.
  • BreadTalk, until 14 September 2026: 15% off 4-piece mooncake sets in stores, from its Thye Moh Chan collaboration. Boxes start at $39.80, and seven outlets are excluded. This is the first thing on the list to expire.
  • Délifrance, until 15 September 2026: the National Day Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappé at all cafés, while stocks last.
  • PrimaDeli, until 30 September 2026: September's Cake of the Month, a Peach & Longan Delight at $28.80 instead of $36. Order by 30 September, collection or delivery by 2 October, and it can't be stacked with other promotions.
  • Polar Puffs & Cakes, until 27 September 2026: 15% off the Floral Elegance mooncake collection, Polaris+ members only. The 20% early bird that was open to everyone closed on 16 August. Last pre-order is noon on 18 September.
  • Tiong Bahru Bakery, all September: a free Plain Croissant or Salted Shio Pan with any 3 viennoiseries, plus 50% off a bottle of orange juice with any purchase.

Two to stop waiting on. Polar's Chicken Rendang Puff 3-for-$7.40 is off its promotions page and the $6.20 centenary Old Polar Cake ended on 31 August. Four Leaves' 10% National Day discount was tied to the SG61 period and is long gone: the brand's promotions URL now returns a 404.

Is BreadTalk halal? Is Four Leaves? Duke Bakery? Brand by brand

This is the single most-asked question about Singapore's bakery chains, and the answer differs sharply from chain to chain. MUIS certification is the only status that is independently verified; everything else is a brand's own claim. We searched all nine on the HalalSG register on 29 August 2026.

On the register:

  • Paris Baguette, 29 premises, including Jewel and Changi Airport Terminals 2, 3 and 4. Certified from February 2026, which is unusual for a full café serving cakes, sandwiches and hot food.
  • Swee Heng, 79 premises, halal since 1989 and the easiest of the nine to reach.
  • PrimaDeli, 24 premises, Singapore's first and biggest halal bakery franchise.
  • Délifrance, 14 premises, including the hot savoury pies.

Not on the register:

  • Is BreadTalk halal? No. Its own FAQ confirms it holds no MUIS certification, and several products contain pork floss. A handful of outlets have separate preparation areas for certain items, but that is an in-store arrangement, not certification.
  • Is Four Leaves halal? No. It is not on the register, and halalSG has stated no application was submitted. Some directories describe individual products as Muslim-friendly, which is a different thing.
  • Is Duke Bakery halal? Not in the certified sense. It does not appear on the register. Third-party directories often list it as pork-free, but Duke publishes no halal statement of its own, so treat that as unverified.
  • Is Tiong Bahru Bakery halal? No, and its menu includes pork items.

The one to check yourself: Polar Puffs & Cakes. It describes itself as a halal bakery on its own site, but we could not find it on the HalalSG register on 29 August 2026, searching by name and by the postal codes of nine malls it trades in. That is not proof it holds nothing, because MUIS runs schemes beyond the eating-establishment register we searched, but it does mean the safe move is to ask the counter to show you that outlet's certificate before you order.

Certification is granted per premises and can be withdrawn at any time, so if it matters for your household, check the outlet's displayed certificate or search the brand on halal.muis.gov.sg before you buy, not a blog post, including this one.

How to choose your bakery

  • By halal need: Paris Baguette, Swee Heng, PrimaDeli and Délifrance are on the HalalSG register. BreadTalk, Tiong Bahru Bakery, Four Leaves and Duke Bakery are not, and Polar is the one to verify in store.
  • By budget: cheapest daily buns are Swee Heng, usually under $2. Cheapest full meal is Délifrance on a Tuesday. Cheapest celebration cake is PrimaDeli.
  • By craving: croissants, canelés and shio pans go to Tiong Bahru Bakery. Curry puffs and nostalgia cakes to Polar. Floss buns to BreadTalk. Korean-style roll cakes and mochi buns to Paris Baguette. Low-sugar artisan loaves to Duke.
  • By card in your wallet: PAssion Card gets 5% off at Duke Bakery (min $10, till 31 Dec 2026, at 11 listed outlets). SAFRA gets 10% off at Polar with a $10 minimum, though not on festive products, so it will not touch a mooncake. UOB gets free garlic fries above $30 at Paris Baguette.

Mid-Autumn is the season now

Mid-Autumn falls on Friday 25 September 2026, and the bakery deals have already turned mooncake-shaped. What is live:

  • BreadTalk: 15% off 4-piece mooncake sets in stores until 14 September, made with Teochew pastry house Thye Moh Chan. Moonlit Blossoms 4-piece from $39.80, Blossoms in Pairs 2-piece from $25.60, singles $13.30 to $15.30. Not at 313@somerset, BreadTalk IHQ, Chinatown Point, Geneo, Jurong Point, NEX or Sixth Avenue.
  • PrimaDeli: the whole Mid-Autumn 2026 range is 20% off online with no published end date. White Lotus with Double Yolk (4pcs) $52 from $65, Single Yolk $48.80, White Lotus with Melon Seeds $48, mini gift sets $44.80 to $50.40, Moonlit Bunny $24.
  • Polar Puffs & Cakes: the Floral Elegance collection is 15% off until 27 September, but only for Polaris+ members. The 20% early bird that anyone could use closed on 16 August. Last pre-order is noon on 18 September, last collection at One Raffles Place is 3.30pm on 26 September and everywhere else 27 September. Note the SAFRA 10% excludes festive products, so it will not apply.

The SG61 National Day bakes have now finished. Tiong Bahru Bakery's "Hooked on Local Flavours" range is off its site entirely, replaced by the September croissant and orange-juice offers. Polar's Old Polar Cake (Mini) 2026 Edition ended on 31 August, and Four Leaves' 10% discount is long gone. The last National Day items standing are Délifrance's Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappé, which run to 15 September 2026.

Before you go

Outlet lists move faster than most people expect. Two of Four Leaves' 31 listed shops are not trading: HarbourFront Centre shut for good on 26 July 2026 when the mall closed for redevelopment, and JEM has been closed for renovation since 5 September 2026 with no reopening date given. Both notices sit on the store locator and nowhere else, so check it rather than an old map pin. Promo prices, participating outlets and halal certification can all change, and the fine print is where these deals get lost: Délifrance's $6.10 sandwiches only start at 3pm, Paris Baguette's buy-4-get-5th-free skips the airport outlets, and the Duke and SAFRA discounts each carry a $10 minimum. Confirm on the brand's own website or the in-store sign before you make a special trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which bakery in Singapore has the best promotion right now (September 2026)?

Délifrance's $6 Pie Tuesdays is the strongest recurring deal: every Tuesday from 14 July to 29 December 2026, savoury pies that normally cost $8.50–$8.90 are $6 at all outlets, with no promo code, membership or minimum spend. Two things end within days, so move on them first: BreadTalk's 15% off 4-piece Thye Moh Chan mooncake sets in stores, which stops on 14 September 2026, and Délifrance's own National Day Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappé, which stop on 15 September. Running longer: PrimaDeli's September Cake of the Month, the Peach & Longan Delight, is $28.80 instead of $36 until 30 September, and its Mid-Autumn range is 20% off online with no published end date. Polar's mooncake discount has narrowed to 15% and is now Polaris+ members only, to 27 September. Tiong Bahru Bakery gives a free Plain Croissant or Salted Shio Pan when you buy any 3 viennoiseries, all month. Four Leaves has no discount at all: its promotions URL 404s and its September posters are new products, not price cuts.

Does BreadTalk have a mooncake or bread promotion in Singapore right now?

Yes, a mooncake one. BreadTalk's promotions page now leads on 'A Mid-Autumn in Full Bloom', made with Teochew pastry house Thye Moh Chan, and it carries an Early Bird discount of 15% off 4-piece mooncake sets in stores until 14 September 2026. Boxes start at $39.80 for the Moonlit Blossoms 4-piece and $25.60 for the 2-piece Blossoms in Pairs; singles are $13.30 for Red Date Longan, Teochew Double Delight, Sweet Tau Sar with Melon Seeds and Salty Tau Sar with Salted Egg Yolk, and $15.30 for Yuan Yang with Salted Egg Yolk. The discount is in-store and does not run at seven outlets: 313@somerset, BreadTalk IHQ, Chinatown Point, Geneo, Jurong Point, NEX and Sixth Avenue. On bread, there is no bundle day: the 26th-anniversary 'Life Well Baked' sale (6 buns for $10.80) finished on 26 July 2026 along with the 1-for-1 Palmier gift set and the $10 Strawberry Japan Light Cheesecake, and nothing has replaced it. Year-round you still get the signature Flosss bun, the Johnsonville sausage-bun collaboration and the Hanjuku Cheese dessert. Note BreadTalk is not MUIS halal-certified.

Which bakery chains in Singapore are MUIS halal-certified?

We searched every brand on this list against the government's HalalSG establishment register on 29 August 2026. Four came back certified: Paris Baguette (29 premises, including Jewel and Changi Airport Terminals 2, 3 and 4, certified from February 2026), Swee Heng (79 premises, halal since 1989), PrimaDeli (24 premises) and Délifrance (14 premises). Four came back with nothing: BreadTalk, whose own FAQ confirms it holds no certification and several of whose products contain pork floss; Tiong Bahru Bakery, whose menu includes pork; Four Leaves; and Duke Bakery, which states it uses no pork or lard, which is not the same thing. Polar Puffs & Cakes is the one to check yourself: it describes itself as a halal bakery, but we could not find it on the register by name or by the postal codes of nine malls it trades in. That is not proof it holds nothing, because MUIS runs schemes beyond the eating-establishment register, but it does mean you should ask the counter to show you the outlet's certificate. Certification is granted per premises and can be withdrawn, so check the displayed certificate or halal.muis.gov.sg rather than any blog post, this one included.

What is the cheapest bakery in Singapore for everyday bread?

Swee Heng is generally the cheapest for daily buns. Most are under $2 and it carries 79 premises on the HalalSG register, so there's usually one near an MRT or HDB town centre. PrimaDeli (24 premises) is the budget pick for whole celebration cakes, and Four Leaves' 31 mall outlets sit in the same value bracket. For a full savoury meal rather than a bun, Délifrance's $6 Tuesday pie is hard to beat.

Which bakery mooncake deal is still worth taking before Mid-Autumn on 25 September 2026?

Three are live, and they close in this order. BreadTalk's Early Bird takes 15% off 4-piece Thye Moh Chan mooncake sets in stores until 14 September 2026, from $39.80 for the Moonlit Blossoms 4-piece, and it does not run at 313@somerset, BreadTalk IHQ, Chinatown Point, Geneo, Jurong Point, NEX or Sixth Avenue. Polar's Floral Elegance collection is 15% off until 27 September, but only for Polaris+ members, with the last pre-order at noon on 18 September and the last collection at One Raffles Place at 3.30pm on 26 September. Note the SAFRA 10% cannot be used on it, because mooncakes count as festive products. PrimaDeli's whole Mid-Autumn range is 20% off online with no published end date, so treat it as an early-bird price that can be withdrawn: White Lotus with Double Yolk (4pcs) $52 from $65, Single Yolk $48.80, White Lotus with Melon Seeds $48, mini gift sets $44.80 to $50.40 and a Moonlit Bunny at $24. The SG61 National Day bakes have finished: Tiong Bahru Bakery's local-flavour range is off its site, and Polar's centenary Old Polar Cake ended on 31 August. Délifrance's Beef Rendang Pie and Milo Frappé are the last National Day items standing, to 15 September.

Is BreadTalk halal?

No. BreadTalk is not MUIS halal-certified in Singapore. Its own FAQ confirms it holds no certification, and several of its products contain pork floss, including the signature Flosss bun. A small number of outlets operate separate preparation areas for certain items such as curry puffs and Swiss rolls, but that is an in-store arrangement rather than certification, so nothing on the menu is independently verified as halal. If you need certified halal, the closest equivalents on this list are Paris Baguette (every Singapore outlet certified since February 2026), PrimaDeli and Swee Heng, all of which sell floss buns of their own.

Is Four Leaves halal? Is Duke Bakery halal?

Neither is MUIS halal-certified. Four Leaves is not on the MUIS register and halalSG has stated that no application was submitted, so while some directories describe individual products as Muslim-friendly, the chain has no certified status. Duke Bakery likewise does not appear on the HalalSG register; third-party halal directories frequently list it as pork-free, but Duke publishes no halal statement of its own, so treat that as unverified: a 'no pork, no lard' kitchen is not the same as certification. Of the nine chains in this guide, four came back certified on the HalalSG register: Délifrance, Paris Baguette, Swee Heng and PrimaDeli. Polar Puffs & Cakes calls itself a halal bakery on its own site but we could not find it on that register, so it is the one to verify at the counter. Because certification can be granted or withdrawn at any time, check the outlet's displayed certificate or search the brand on the official HalalSG register at halal.muis.gov.sg before buying.

Which Singapore bakery is best for croissants and artisanal pastry?

Tiong Bahru Bakery is the go-to, with 18 locations and a range built on French technique: shio pans, canelés, lemon tarts and seasonal entremets such as the Bergamot Lavender Tart and Matcha Basque Cheesecake. Through September it also gives a free Plain Croissant or Salted Shio Pan when you buy any 3 viennoiseries. Duke Bakery is the pick if you want naturally fermented, low-sugar and low-fat artisan loaves ($5.50–$6.90) rather than pastry, and Paris Baguette covers the Korean-bakery style with roll cakes, fresh cream cakes and mochi buns. None of the three is halal-certified except Paris Baguette, which is.
