The fine print
- Swedish Restaurant only. IKEA says the free drink is only valid at the Swedish Restaurant in the store. The Swedish Bistro snack counter is not part of it.
- Regular coffee or tea only. Specialty hot beverages are excluded.
- No stated limit. IKEA does not print a per-person cap, so treat it as one cup per visitor and do not count on staff topping up a thermos.
- IKEA Family members already have this. Membership gives two free hot drinks every visit, all year, at the Swedish Restaurant.
Tips
- Sign up for IKEA Family while you are there. It is free, and it turns this one-week perk into two free hot drinks on every visit afterwards.
- Pair it with fika. The restaurant sells a cream cake with marzipan plus coffee or tea for $2.90 from 3pm to 5pm on weekdays.
- Check the PSI before you leave home. If air quality is poor, travel by MRT and covered walkways, and keep a mask on for the walk to the store.
- Go mid-morning or mid-afternoon. The lunch rush from noon to 2pm means longer queues at the counter.
- Bring the kids to Tampines for halal food. Its restaurant is the only one of the three serving the halal menu.
