Chilli Padi Confinement is the confinement arm of the long-running Chilli Padi group, and it is one of the easiest providers here to price-compare, because it publishes the whole ladder on its own order page. THE SITE WAS REBUILT IN SEPTEMBER: the old Shopify storefront is gone. Its products.json now returns a 404, and every old /collections/ and /products/ URL redirects to a single new /product page that shows only 'From S$528' until you open the order flow. Tian Wei Signature is one of Singapore's best-known confinement caterers, and the one with the most generous published discount. IT HAS ALSO JUST PUT EVERY PACKAGE UP. Its own pages now quote a range of S$538 to S$2,628, where in August they quoted S$518 to S$2,558. THE LADDER TIAN WEI NEVER PUBLISHES AS A TABLE, read out of its own booking form and re-verified unchanged on 16 September 2026, DOUBLE MEAL (lunch AND dinner): 40 days S$2,628, up from S$2,558, with a S$188 early bird; 28 DAYS S$1,868, up from S$1,818, at S$33.36 a meal, with a S$128 early bird, so S$1,740; 21 days S$1,438, up from S$1,398, S$68 early bird; 20 WEEKDAYS S$1,398, up from S$1,358, S$58 early bird, a Monday-to-Friday plan nothing else on this list offers; 14 days S$1,018, up from S$988, S$38 early bird; 7 days S$538, up from S$518, no early bird. THE HEADLINE IS STILL MISLEADING BY DESIGN: the advertised 'up to S$188' belongs only to the 40-day package. A 28-day booking gets S$128, and the two shortest packages get nothing. DEPOSITS: S$418 on the 40-day, S$288 on the 28-day double, S$188 on most of the rest and S$88 on the shortest, with the balance due on the first day of delivery, which is what makes booking early genuinely low-risk rather than a cash-flow problem. CODES, BUT NOT ON THE MAIN BOOKING FORM ANY MORE: that form has dropped its promo code box. Codes now work only on a separate booking-promo page the site does not link to, which checks each one against your email address, so they are issued to specific customers rather than open to anyone. There, TWLIVE28DD takes S$148 off the 28-day double plus four servings of pork trotter vinegar and a hotbox; TWLIVE21DD takes S$88 off the 21-day double plus three servings and a hotbox; TWLIVE28S takes S$48 off a 28-day single or a 14-day double plus one serving and a hotbox; and TR28DD, TR21DD and TR28S take S$40, S$30 and S$15. NWG, which we listed before, is no longer accepted on either public form. Tian Wei's terms state that only one promo code can be used and that it cannot be combined with the early bird, so in practice you are choosing between them. THE DELIVERY CATCH: S$4 per trip to CBD addresses, 56 trips on a 28-day double, and no delivery at all to Marina Bay, Tuas, Sentosa, or any postcode starting 01 to 05. Downgrading mid-service costs S$30 per meal consumed plus a S$50 admin fee and forfeits the early bird. TRIAL MEALS AT S$35 A SET: two options, both at the same price. The Signature Trial is four bite-sized dishes with rice, soup, dessert and a drink, designed to show you the range; the Normal Trial is simply whatever is scheduled for that delivery day, traditional or fusion. If you are choosing between providers, the Signature Trial is the more useful of the two. THE MENU: over 100 meat and vegetable dishes, and over 43 different herbal soups across the 40-day double plan. Week one is traditional Chinese confinement food built on TCM herbs; from week two, fusion meals are added, which Tian Wei now describes as Japanese, Mediterranean and Taiwanese. No end date is published. Quote the catalogue: that is the page that takes your money. THE MEMBER PRICE IS NARROWER THAN IT LOOKS: the FBI/SBI member rate is a further S$118 below the discounted price, but only on the 35- and 28-day doubles, and the same limit applies to the S$70 NTUC member discount in its terms. On the 21-, 14- and 7-day packages the member price shown is identical to the public one, so membership buys nothing there. SHORTEST BLOCK: a 3-day double meal at S$270, listed under its recovery range. TRIALS: a YZL Postnatal Premium Trial at S$45, available Fridays only, and a single-meal trial also at S$45. DELIVERY: lunch arrives between 10am and 1.30pm, dinner between 3.15pm and 7pm. Its packages page promises free islandwide delivery except Sentosa and Tuas, and says a S$5 CBD and Downtown charge may apply. Reservations placed before 6pm can be arranged for next-day delivery, and the service says your first meal can start within 24 hours of reserving, which is the single most useful thing about it. WHY THAT MATTERS: confinement plans fall apart in predictable ways. A nanny takes leave, a mum is discharged earlier than expected, or a 28-day package ends while recovery has not. Being able to add three or seven days at a published price, at short notice, solves a problem the month-long providers cannot. NouRiche builds its menus around traditional Chinese medicine principles rather than treating TCM as a garnish: meals are structured stage by stage across the confinement period, anchored by its signature Sheng Hua tonic, and prepared under chef Gordon Wang. WHAT SETS IT APART: a dedicated vegetarian confinement menu, genuinely rare in this market, where vegetarian mums are usually told to pick around the meat, plus a newer Fusion menu that pairs TCM dishes with Western-style cooking. ReLacto is a sub-brand of Tian Wei Signature, and it exists for one specific reason: mums whose main worry in the first month is milk supply rather than confinement tradition. WHAT IT DOES DIFFERENTLY: over 100 lactation-friendly and healing dishes, built on lactogenic ingredients, ginger, garlic, fennel, fenugreek, moringa and green papaya, with a lactation drink served in every meal rather than as an add-on. The menu is dietitian-guided, and each meal is a protein dish, a vegetable dish, a grain, a soup or a dessert, and the lactation drink, so it reads as a recovery meal plan rather than a herbal course. BEYOND CONFINEMENT: ReLacto also serves post-surgery and general postpartum recovery, so it is worth a look if you need recovery meals outside the standard confinement window, after a caesarean, for instance, or if you are past the traditional 28 or 40 days but still not cooking. Alongside its confinement line it sells fertility meals for mums trying to conceive and recovery meals for mums healing from a miscarriage, the second of which almost nobody else in Singapore caters for, and which is worth knowing about even if you never need it. THE THING EVERY ROUNDUP GETS WRONG, THIS ONE INCLUDED UNTIL TODAY: Ummu Fazwill is written up everywhere as quoting by WhatsApp, and it does take the menu and the booking that way, but its Confinement Meals page has carried a full published ladder all along. WHAT IS IN A MEAL: a base dish of multigrain rice, pasta, porridge or noodles; a meat dish of chicken, fish or beef; a side of salad, soup or vegetables; a lactation dessert such as a muffin, cake, cookie or pudding; and a 350ml drink, red date tea at lunch and a daily brew at dinner. Delivery runs twice a day in thermal bags, lunch 10am-1pm and dinner 3.30pm-7pm, and its FAQ says it covers almost 95% of Singapore but not areas such as Sentosa, Tuas and the CBD, so check your address first. WHAT IT IS: a 100% Muslim-owned kitchen that states all of its confinement food is halal. It cooks both Malay-style confinement food and halal Chinese-style confinement dishes, and describes its own menu as a fusion of traditional and modern. ONE THING TO CHECK YOURSELF: the site states the kitchen is Muslim-owned and that its food is halal, but it displays no MUIS halal certificate number anywhere, its own FAQ answers 'Is Ummu Fazwill halal certified?' with Muslim ownership and halal ingredients managed by a Muslim chef rather than a certificate, and a search of the MUIS halal establishments register on 16 September 2026 returned no record for Ummu Fazwill. That register covers Eating Establishments and Food Preparation Areas only, and none of the other seven providers in this guide appear on it either, so this is not a mark against Ummu Fazwill specifically. It does mean Muslim ownership and MUIS certification are separate claims here: if certification is what you need, ask for the certificate in the chat before you book. WHY BOOKING EARLY MATTERS MORE HERE: most of the large confinement caterers in Singapore are not halal, so Muslim mums are choosing from a much shorter list, and the pool of kitchens that can cover a full month is small. HOW TO ORDER: the menu and the booking both go through WhatsApp on 8874 0514, Monday to Sunday, 10.30am to 9.30pm, even though the prices are on the site. A single is one of the two, and it costs a little over half: NouRiche's 28-day single is S$938 against S$1,788 for the twin, and Yue Zi Le's is S$1,049 against S$1,999. Providers list both side by side, and it is easy to compare one against the other by accident.
Before or after GST. Yue Zi Le states its prices include GST. Others may not. On a S$2,000 package that is a S$180 difference, enough to change the ranking.
The delivery surcharge. This is the one that is never in anybody's comparison. NouRiche charges S$5 + GST per meal per trip for addresses in the CBD, Orchard and the Core Central Area. On a 28-day twin that is 56 meals, so roughly S$305 on top of the package. Tian Wei charges S$4 per trip for CBD delivery, and does not deliver at all to Marina Bay, Tuas, Sentosa or postcodes starting 01 to 05. NouRiche also excludes Tuas and Sentosa. Ummu Fazwill does not deliver to areas such as the CBD, Sentosa and Tuas, Yue Zi Le says a S$5 CBD and Downtown charge may apply, and Mama J's says a surcharge may apply to postcodes starting 01 to 09, 46 to 52, 61 to 76 and 81. Only ReLacto's 28-day set is lower in total, at S$1,478 for two fewer days. Its shorter blocks are S$650 for 10 days and S$1,100 for 20, and the long option, 44 days at S$2,200, is the cheapest per meal of the lot at S$25.00.
Each meal is a base dish (multigrain rice, pasta, porridge or noodles), a meat dish (chicken, fish or beef), a side of salad, soup or vegetables, a lactation dessert, and a 350ml drink: red date tea at lunch, a daily brew at dinner. Delivery runs twice a day in thermal bags, lunch 10am-1pm and dinner 3.30pm-7pm, but not to areas such as the CBD, Sentosa and Tuas, so check your address first. The menu and the booking still go through WhatsApp on 8874 0514, Monday to Sunday, 10.30am to 9.30pm, even though the prices are on the site.
On certification, be precise. We searched the MUIS halal establishments register at halal.muis.gov.sg on 16 September 2026 for all eight providers in this guide, and every query returned zero records, Ummu Fazwill included. That is not the same as saying any of them is not halal. The register covers Eating Establishments and Food Preparation Areas only, MUIS runs separate schemes a kitchen could hold instead, and Muslim ownership is a different claim from MUIS certification. Ummu Fazwill's own FAQ, asked whether it is halal certified, answers with its Muslim ownership and halal ingredients managed by a Muslim chef, not a certificate number. What it does mean is that you cannot verify a certificate for any of the eight from the public register, so if certification rather than ownership is what your family needs, ask for the certificate number in the chat before you pay a deposit.

Critically, Tian Wei takes only a deposit at booking, with the balance due on the first day of delivery, so booking early does not mean paying for a month of food before you have eaten any of it. NouRiche also advertises early bird discounts on its 28-day plan. THE PRACTICAL REASON: the first week postpartum is the worst possible time to be comparing rate cards. You will be recovering, feeding every two to three hours, and short on sleep.
