Welcoming a new baby? We went through the baby and newborn gift set shops that actually deliver in Singapore and checked every price on the shop's own site in September 2026: from a S$4.99 muslin bib with the baby's name embroidered free, up to a S$256 Skip Hop activity centre. Includes the three things most guides get wrong. Mothercare no longer sells the classic wicker hamper, Skip Hop has no Singapore storefront of its own, and the cheapest set at Pigeon and the cheapest gym at Pupsik are both out of stock.
Shopping for a baby shower, a full-month gift or a colleague's new arrival? Six shops that actually deliver in Singapore, with every price read off the shop's own site in September 2026.

The short version of what the money buys you: under S$20 gets you something small and personalised; S$50 to S$100 gets a proper boxed set of newborn clothing or a feeding-and-skincare set; past S$150 you are into activity gyms and full newborn-prep bundles, which is group-gift territory.
Two things worth knowing before you shop. Mothercare Singapore is still open. The local business is run by Little Humans Pte Ltd, and its store locator lists 7 outlets, but the classic wicker-basket newborn hamper it was known for is no longer on the shelf; its gifting range is now sorted by budget and leans towards toys. And Skip Hop has no Singapore storefront: skiphop.com redirects to Carter's, its US parent, so anything you buy here comes through a local stockist.
Which baby gift set shop should you actually buy from?
There is no single best shop. It depends on what you want the gift to do, and the six here barely overlap:
- You want it to feel personal: AEBaby. Free name embroidery on every muslin bib and keepsake, no surcharge, ready in about 2 days, from S$4.99. Little Kooma personalises too, if you want the name on something bigger: a 5-layer muslin blanket at S$38, or a Hudson Baby plush toy and blanket set at S$49.90.
- You want one box that covers everything: Little Kooma. Own-brand newborn gift boxes at S$48 (boy) and S$68 (girl), LED Light Layette clothing sets S$99 to S$108, themed gift sets S$108 to S$129, free shipping above S$35.
- You need it this week, or want to see it first: Mothercare. The only one on this list with physical stores (7 on its store locator) and free Click & Collect in 2 hours on orders placed before 7pm.
- You want the parents to actually use it up: Pigeon. Feeding, weaning and skincare sets from S$49.90, free delivery above S$60.
- You are on a tight budget, or building your own basket: Tollyjoy singles. S$3.50 for a 3-way training cup at Little Baby, or the far deeper range at Baby Kingdom from S$4.50, though only about a third of it is in stock.
- Several of you are chipping in: a Skip Hop activity gym via Pupsik, S$175 to S$256.
A practical note on timing: three of these can be done today, but only one of them lands at the recipient's door. Mothercare's Click & Collect is free and ready in 2 hours on orders placed before 7pm, and Pupsik does free same-day self-collection from its Bukit Batok warehouse if you order before 1pm on a weekday, but both mean you fetch the parcel yourself. Little Kooma is the only shop here that will courier a boxed set to a home address the same day, from S$16, ordered before 3pm on a weekday. Otherwise Little Kooma's standard delivery is 2 to 3 working days, AEBaby turns personalised embroidery around in about 2, Mothercare's own courier takes 3 to 6, and Pigeon is the slowest at 4 to 6. So if the shower is tomorrow, that decision is already made for you.
Is a "newborn gift set" the same as a baby hamper?
Not quite, and the difference decides where you shop. A newborn gift set is a fixed bundle the brand puts together and boxes: Little Kooma's LED Light Layette clothing sets, Pigeon's weaning and skincare sets, Tollyjoy's Premium Baby Gift Set. You buy the box as one product, at one price. A baby hamper is an arranged basket, usually assembled by a gifting company, often with the wrapping and the presentation doing a lot of the work. Mothercare is the clearest example of the shift: it no longer sells the wicker newborn hamper it was known for, but it does sell boxed gift sets from S$12.90.
For a full-month (满月) gift where the basket itself is part of the gesture, a hamper company is the right call. For a gift that gets unpacked and used, a boxed set from one of the six shops here is better value, because you are paying for the contents rather than the basket.
Buying a baby girl or baby boy gift set, and what to do when you don't know
Only the clothing shops sort their gift boxes by gender. Little Kooma is the one to go to if you specifically want a baby girl or baby boy gift set: its own-brand boxes are split, at S$48 for the boy 7-piece Elephant & Lion box and S$68 for the girl Pink Elephant box. Its LED Light Layette sets run S$99 for three girl designs (Unicorn hand rattle, hair accessories, Blue Bunny) and S$108 for the wider range, which covers girl prints (Pink Bear, Cupcake, Watermelon, Taco, Cheese Cake) and boy prints (Lemon, Banana). Its themed sets are split too: Butterfly Fairy and Little Cherry for girls, Forest Warrior for boys, both at S$129, with the unisex Star Baby box at the same price.
Everything else on this list is gender-neutral by design. Pigeon's feeding, weaning and skincare sets, Skip Hop's activity gyms, Tollyjoy's basics and Mothercare's budget-sorted gifting shelf are all bought on function rather than colour, and Mothercare sorts its gifting by price band rather than by boy or girl.
If you have not been told, buy neutral. Not every family announces the sex before the birth, plenty do not want to, and a personalised gift solves it cleanly: AEBaby embroiders the baby's name rather than a colour scheme, from S$4.99, so it reads as made-to-order without you having to guess.
