Singapore HeritageFest 2026 — the National Heritage Board's annual flagship festival, now in its 23rd edition with the maritime heritage theme — closes 24 May after a 24-day run. With 10 days left from today (14 May), here are the programmes worth catching before it ends.

Free + walk-up (zero booking required):

  • HOMEGROUND @ ACM Green — open-air programming directly in front of the Asian Civilisations Museum, every Friday + Saturday throughout the festival. Workshops, performances, family-friendly all-ages format.
  • Singapore River self-guided heritage trails — printable maps on heritage.sg, walk at your own pace, anytime.
  • Free heritage walks linked to maritime deities — multi-location, scheduled weekend slots.

Free + register-required (book 1-3 days ahead):

  • Maritime Heritage Trail — guided 2.5-hour walking tour through Fort Canning Park, Singapore River, Clifford Pier, Fullerton. Saturdays 16, 23 May at 10am. Free.
  • Unlocking Singapore's Port Legacy — behind-the-scenes maritime tour. Saturday 16 May (9am-11:30am, 11am-1:30pm) + Saturday 23 May (9am-11:30am, 12:30pm-3pm). Free.
  • Fishery Port Tours — 2am access to Singapore's only remaining fishery port (Jurong). Last sessions 15-16, 22-23 May. Free, small-group, and yes the 2am timing is real (that's when the auction happens).

Ticketed signature experiences (S$25-35):

  • A Bump Through Time — theatrical bumboat experience on the Singapore River. The festival's IG hero piece. Sailing 16 + 23 May, multiple slots from 3:30pm-8:30pm. The 5pm and 6:30pm golden-hour slots are the visual sweet spots.
  • Pulau Ubin folklore tours — operator-led storytelling walks, ages 10+ recommended.
