Chiikawa has taken over the Happy Meal. From today, 13 August, McDonald's Singapore is running an eight-toy Chiikawa collection across four weekly drops, finishing 10 September 2026 — and every character has been dressed for an actual McDonald's job.

> Quick view: 8 toys · 4 weekly waves · 13 Aug – 10 Sep · new toys every Thursday from 11am · one toy per Happy Meal (from ~S$5.95, price varies by restaurant) · while stocks last · display toys not for sale.

The full drop schedule

The schedule on McDonald's own campaign artwork is the part worth writing down, because each pair only runs during its own week:

WaveDatesToys
Week 113–19 AugChiikawa — McDonald's Manager · Furuhonya — McDonald's Crew
Week 220–26 AugKurimanju — McCafé Barista · Hachiware — McDelivery
Week 327 Aug – 2 SepRakko — McDelivery · Momonga — McDonald's GEL (Guest Experience Leader)
Week 43–10 SepUsagi — McDonald's Crew · Shisa — McDonald's Manager

New toys arrive every Thursday from 11am. That makes the Thursdays to diarise 13, 20 and 27 August, then 3 September.

The fine print

  1. One toy per Happy Meal. The toy is not sold separately, and Happy Meals start from about S$5.95 — McDonald's own disclaimer notes that Happy Meal prices vary across restaurants.
  2. While stocks last, and stock differs by store. McDonald's says plainly: visit any McDonald's restaurant to enquire which book or toy is currently available. Quantities are limited.
  3. Display toys are not for sale — the line is printed on the campaign artwork itself, and it is the one that catches people out at the counter.
  4. Toys are non-exchangeable, and McDonald's reserves the right to replace the books and toys on offer, and to change promotion dates, without prior notice.
  5. No announced catch-up wave. A missed Thursday is a missed character.

The book route, if the toy has gone

Running alongside the toys is Happy Meal Readers — currently the 6th Little People, Big Dreams 'I Can Dream Big' series, with titles like *I Can Sprint to Success* plus a mystery 'I Can' book. You can take a book instead of a toy, which is the practical fallback when the week's design has already cleared at your outlet.

How to actually get the one you want

  • Go on the Thursday. 11am is the only moment stock is guaranteed deep; by the weekend the busy mall and heartland outlets thin out.
  • Ring or ask first. Because availability differs restaurant to restaurant, a quick question at the counter beats a wasted Happy Meal.
  • Expect the McDelivery pair to move fastest — Hachiware (week 2) and Rakko (week 3) — along with the Chiikawa Manager that opens the run.
