McDonald's Singapore's SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal started today, Friday 11 September 2026, and runs to Wednesday 14 October. It is a ten-toy crossover: each SpongeBob SquarePants character is dressed as one of the Straw Hat Pirates, from SpongeBob as Luffy to Pearl as Robin, and the toys come out two at a time in five weekly waves.
> Quick view: 10 toys · 5 waves · 11 Sep to 14 Oct 2026 · a new pair every Thursday from 11am · one toy with each Happy Meal, not sold separately · while stocks last · display toys not for sale · book or toy, your choice.
The full drop schedule
These dates are printed on McDonald's Singapore's own campaign artwork at mcdonalds.com.sg/happy-meal. Each pair runs for its own week only.
| Wave | Dates | Toys |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fri 11 to Wed 16 Sep | SpongeBob x Luffy · Smitty Werbenjägermanjensen x Brook |
| 2 | Thu 17 to Wed 23 Sep | Patrick x Zoro · Larry x Franky |
| 3 | Thu 24 to Wed 30 Sep | Sandy x Nami · Plankton x Usopp |
| 4 | Thu 1 to Wed 7 Oct | Squidward x Sanji · Mr Krabs x Jinbe |
| 5 | Thu 8 to Wed 14 Oct | Gary x Chopper · Pearl x Robin |
The Thursdays to put in your calendar are 17 and 24 September, then 1 and 8 October, each from 11am. Wave 1 is the odd one out: it opened on a Friday, so it runs six days instead of seven.
If you read "15 September" somewhere
Several fan and collector sites listed 15 September as the launch, which is the date reported for other markets. McDonald's Singapore's own artwork puts the first wave at 11 to 16 September, and its Happy Meal page already says "Happy Meal Toys Now Available!". So the SpongeBob x Luffy and Smitty x Brook wave is on sale now, and by 15 September it is into its last two days.
The fine print
- One toy per Happy Meal, and the toy is not sold on its own. McDonald's does not publish a single Happy Meal price: its fine print says prices vary across restaurants.
- While stocks last. McDonald's says to ask your restaurant which book or toy is available, because stock differs from outlet to outlet.
- Display toys are not for sale. The line is printed on the artwork, right under "New toys every Thursday, 11am".
- Toys are non-exchangeable, and McDonald's may replace the books and toys on offer, or move any promotion date, without prior notice.
- No catch-up wave is announced. Miss a week and that pair is gone, unless your outlet still has leftovers.
Book or toy?
The artwork asks the question itself. You can take a Happy Meal Readers book instead of the toy. The one pictured is *I Can Be a Curious Inventor*, the Little People, Big Dreams title about William Kamkwamba from the 6th "I Can Dream Big" series. That is the fallback when the week's toy has run out at your outlet. Each toy also unlocks McDonald's SpongeBob x One Piece digital game on happymeal.com.
How to get the one you want
- Go on the Thursday. Stock is deepest from 11am on drop day. By the weekend, the busy mall outlets thin out.
- Ask before you order. A quick question at the counter tells you which of the week's two toys they are handing out, and saves you a Happy Meal you did not want.
- SpongeBob x Luffy is the headline piece, and it is only in wave 1, which ends on Wednesday 16 September. If you want just one toy from the set, that is the one with the least time left.
