Life-sized animatronic dinosaurs roaring inches from your face, an 8.5-metre Brachiosaurus peering down through the rainforest canopy, and a Tyrannosaurus rex encounter that will genuinely startle your kids — Jurassic World: The Experience at Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay is arguably the biggest family attraction in Singapore right now, and it's running well into 2026. If you've got a child who loves dinosaurs (or you're secretly a dinosaur fan yourself), this is a must-do.

Here's everything you need to know before you go — what to expect, when to book, tips to avoid crowds, and how to stretch your ticket to cover the rest of Gardens by the Bay.

The essentials

Venue: Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay (18 Marina Gardens Drive).

Running: The experience opened in May 2025 and continues through 2026 — check the official site for the latest closing date.

Hours: 9am to 9pm daily. Last entry is 8pm.

Age requirement: Children aged 3 and above need a ticket. Under 3s enter free with a paying adult.

Duration: Most visitors spend about 60 to 90 minutes inside, but there is no time limit once you've passed the entry area — you can linger as long as you like.

What to expect

Jurassic World: The Experience is a walk-through exhibition, not a ride — so it's suitable for kids who might be too young or too nervous for theme park attractions. You'll follow a set path through several themed zones built inside the existing Cloud Forest dome, which means you also get to explore the Cloud Forest's mist-soaked rainforest, 35-metre indoor waterfall, and plant collections along the way.

Highlights include an 8.5-metre animatronic Brachiosaurus towering through the canopy, a realistic T-rex face-off moment designed for photos (and nervous shrieks), and a "baby dino petting zoo" section where younger kids can meet smaller dinosaurs up close. Staff cast members in character guide families through key scenes, making it feel more like an immersive theatre experience than a museum walk-through.

Tickets

Tickets are strictly online in advance — walk-in tickets are subject to availability and often sell out on weekends and school holidays. Pricing varies based on SG Resident vs Standard, and there are combo tickets that bundle entry with Flower Dome, Supertree Observatory, or OCBC Skywalk for the full Gardens by the Bay day-out.

Book via the official site at gardensbythebay.com.sg or through Klook and Pelago — all three sell identical tickets, so go with whichever gives you the best voucher or cashback on the day.

Our visit tips

Go on a weekday morning. The 9am to 11am weekday window has the shortest queues. Weekends and public holidays can mean 30-plus minute waits at peak times.

Pair it with Flower Dome. The combo ticket saves meaningful money and Flower Dome is just across the walkway — a 2-hour total Gardens visit is a solid half-day plan.

Bring a light jacket. Cloud Forest is air-conditioned to 23°C to preserve the plants. Coming in from Singapore's 32°C heat in shorts and a tee, you'll feel the chill.

Watch out for the misting cycles. Every half-hour, Cloud Forest releases its signature mist from the mountain. Kids love it but phones can get wet — use the designated photo zones if you want dry shots.

Good for ages 4 and up. Under-3s may find the large animatronics and sudden movements startling. Over-10s still enjoy it but may race through — the 90-minute sweet spot is ages 4 to 10.

Final word

Jurassic World: The Experience is one of those rare family attractions that genuinely works for every age group — toddlers love the baby dino zone, school-age kids go wild for the T-rex moments, and parents get impressed by the animatronic engineering. At typical Singapore family-attraction prices it's not the cheapest day out, but the comfort of Cloud Forest's aircon plus the depth of the experience makes it a strong pick for the school holidays. Book 3 to 5 days ahead for the best slot availability.
