Applications for the August 2027 intake are opening and the open houses run now.
> Quick view: cheapest is Middleton at S$21,760 a year; the nine span S$21,760 to S$58,080; the one-off fees on top swing S$1,454 to S$15,156.

Every international school in Singapore publishes an annual tuition figure, and every one of them charges something else on top that the figure does not include. We read the official 2026 and 2026/27 fee schedules for nine schools on 6 September 2026, straight off the PDFs and fee pages rather than the comparison sites, and the picture changes once the one-off money lands. Sticker tuition at primary level runs from S$21,760.25 a year at Middleton to S$49,040 at Stamford American, and the full range across all year groups is S$21,760 to S$58,080. The extras are where the schools separate: Middleton asks S$1,454 and nothing more, while UWCSEA adds S$627 application, S$4,992 enrolment and a S$9,537 first-year Development Levy, so S$15,156 before a single lesson. That levy is the one nobody quotes, because it does not stop: it drops to S$5,166 but is charged every year after. The result is a reversal. UWCSEA has the lowest sticker tuition of the five premium schools here (S$40,743 for Grades 2 to 5, below Tanglin's S$45,375 and CIS's S$41,840), yet it lands eighth of nine on first-year cash at S$55,899. Open house season is the reason to read this now: applications for the August 2027 intake are opening, UWCSEA's Open House runs 2 September to 2 October, CIS holds one every Tuesday morning to 8 October, AIS opens the campus on Saturday 12 September, and Tanglin, Stamford, SJI International and IFS all have dated sessions between 18 September and 5 November.

> Quick view: cheapest is Middleton at S$21,760 a year; the nine span S$21,760 to S$58,080; the one-off fees on top swing S$1,454 to S$15,156.

The cheapest school on this list on both measures, and the only one whose one-off costs stay in four figures. WHAT IT COSTS (2026, total payable including 9% GST): Early Years N2 to K2 S$22,892.92, Grade 1 S$26,247.12, Grades 2 to 5 S$21,760.25, Grades 6 to 10 S$24,949.23, Grades 11 to 12 S$28,658.01. That works out to S$1,813.35 a month for Grades 2 to 5, billed in four instalments. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$1,454 in total, made up of a S$671 administration fee and a S$783 confirmation fee, both non-refundable and both inclusive of GST. There is no enrolment fee, no building fee, no facility fee and no deposit, which is why its first-year total of S$23,214 is more than S$2,300 below the next school here. WHY GRADE 1 COSTS MORE THAN GRADE 2: an additional language is compulsory in Grade 1 at S$4,100, and optional from Grade 2 to Grade 8 thereafter at S$4,360 a year. EAL support is S$2,725 a year. WHAT IS INCLUDED: course fee, one teacher-led extra-curricular activity from Kindergarten 2, student insurance and the Fee Protection Scheme. Uniforms, bus, excursions and meals are not. SIBLINGS: 10% off course fees for the second child and onwards, applied to the child with the lower fee, which makes Middleton the only school here whose discount reaches a two-child family. CAMPUSES: Tampines at 2 Tampines Street 92 (ages 4 to 18) and West Coast at 20 Harbour Drive (ages 4 to 11). Part of the EtonHouse group. ADMISSIONS: open all year round, with course fees pro-rated from the start date. BEST FOR: families who want an international-curriculum school without a five-figure entry cost, and who would rather not fund a building.
No promotion. Published 2026 fees: S$21,760.25 a year for Grades 2 to 5, one-off application fees S$1,454 in total, admissions open all year round

Second cheapest here, with a S$7,291 catch that depends entirely on which campus you pick. WHAT IT COSTS (2026-27, including 9% GST): at the Nanyang campus, Early Childhood 1 to 3 and Grades 1 to 6 are S$24,158, Grades 7 to 10 are S$27,773, and both the IB Diploma and Cambridge A-Levels at Grades 11 to 12 are S$33,168. THE PUNGGOL PREMIUM: the Digital Campus charges exactly the same tuition but adds a S$7,291 building fee inside the annual figure, so the same Grade 3 place is S$31,449 at Punggol against S$24,158 at Jurong West, Grades 7 to 10 are S$35,065, and the IB Diploma is S$40,459. That is not a one-time levy sitting on a separate line, it is inside the annual tuition. The Newton campus, which runs Early Childhood 1 to Grade 5 only, is S$27,491. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: a S$1,420 application fee, non-refundable and inclusive of GST. There is no separate enrolment fee, which is why its first-year total at Nanyang is S$25,578. WHAT IS INCLUDED: uniforms and academic field trips are bundled into tuition, which is unusual and worth about a few hundred dollars a year. WHAT IS NOT: the two-way bus runs S$4,296 for up to 3km, S$4,777 for 3 to 10km and S$5,257 beyond 10km. Music tuition is S$3,270 an instrument, learning support S$6,540 to S$8,175, and each extra-curricular activity is S$1,635 a term. CAMPUSES: Nanyang at 21 Jurong West Street 81, the Digital Campus at 27 Punggol Field Walk, and Newton at 99 Bukit Timah Road. CURRICULUM: IB Primary Years Programme, a modified Cambridge programme for Grades 6 to 8, Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9 to 10, then a choice of IB Diploma or Cambridge A-Levels. BEST FOR: families in the west who want IB continuity at close to half the price of the premium schools, and who read the campus line before signing.
No dated open house currently published. 2026-27 fees: S$24,158 a year for Grades 1 to 6 at Nanyang, S$31,449 for the same grades at the Punggol Digital Campus (building fee included), S$1,420 application fee

The only school here whose entry cost is mostly refundable, and the cheapest route into a full national curriculum. WHAT IT COSTS (2026-2027, including 9% GST): Kindergarten in the French Plurilingual International Stream is S$24,405 and the English International Stream is S$28,065. Elementary CE1 to CM2 in the Classic section is S$24,305, Anglais+ is S$26,190, CP in the French stream is S$26,190 and English International Stream Grade 1 is S$30,120. Middle School Classic or Mandarin section is S$27,715, the International Section is S$29,775, and High School is S$35,325 across all sections. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$10,620 in total, but only S$5,450 of it is gone for good. The application fee is S$1,090 and the first-time registration fee is S$4,360, both non-refundable. The remaining S$5,170 is a School Fees Advance that rolls over year to year and is either offset against your departing term or refunded in full when your child leaves, capped at three students per family. Nobody else on this list except SJI International returns anything. THE ENGLISH ROUTE: this is a French curriculum school, but the English International Stream runs from Nursery through Kindergarten and into Grade 1, which costs S$30,120 against S$26,190 for the French CP year, so the English path carries a roughly S$4,000 premium at that level. SIBLINGS: 5% for a third child, 10% for a fourth and 15% from a fifth, none of it applied to Anglais+, the International Section or French Passerelle. THE SCHOOL: 2,600 students from 70 nationalities at 3000 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. Fees are voted each November at the General Assembly on the recommendation of parent representatives, which is a genuinely different governance model from the rest of this list. BEST FOR: families who want a national curriculum with a real bilingual pathway, and who care that part of the entry cost is a deposit rather than a fee.
Open House sessions with the Principal and Admissions team: Fri 18 Sep 2026 8.45am, Fri 9 Oct 2026 8.45am and Sat 14 Nov 2026 9.30am. 2026-2027 elementary Classic fees S$24,305, of which S$5,170 of the S$10,620 entry cost is refundable
Valid till 14 Nov 2026

The Lasallian school on Thomson Road, and the one whose fee schedule explains its own oddities in writing. WHAT IT COSTS, ELEMENTARY (2026 academic year, including 9% GST, and these totals already include the development fee and materials): Prep 1 to Grade 3 mainstream is S$39,868, Grade 4 is S$39,966, and Grades 5 to 6 are S$40,158. The bilingual programme is S$47,840 for Prep 1 to Grade 3 and S$47,958 for Grade 4, a premium of just under S$8,000. WHAT IT COSTS, HIGH SCHOOL: Grades 7 and 8 are S$40,954, Grades 9, 10 and the Grade 10 Foundation Course are S$41,968, Grade 11 is S$51,166 and Grade 12 is S$43,580. WHY GRADE 11 IS DEARER THAN GRADE 12: the school's own note says Grade 11 Term 1 is structured higher to fund upfront resource planning and materials for the whole two-year IB Diploma, so Term 1 is S$28,996 against S$22,170 in Term 2. Budget for it in the year it lands, not the year the Diploma finishes. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: application is S$1,635 for Elementary and Grades 8 to 12 but S$2,725 for Grade 7 entry, and S$1,090 for the school's own preschool Kindergarten 2 graduates moving to Grade 1. Enrolment is S$3,815. High School additionally takes a S$6,000 security deposit, refundable on graduation, which is the largest returnable sum on this list. EXAM FEES: Grade 10 sits eight or nine subjects at S$188 each, Grade 12 sits six at S$228 each. WATCH: a S$200 late fee, and a 2.04% convenience charge on Visa and Mastercard payments, which on a S$20,000 term invoice is S$408. SIBLINGS: 25% off tuition from the fourth child. ADDRESS: 490 Thomson Road. BEST FOR: families who want an IB Diploma and IGCSE pathway inside a Singapore school culture rather than an expatriate one.
Elementary School Virtual Open House Tue 22 Sep 2026, 9.30am; in-person Open House Tue 27 Oct 2026, 9.25am, parents only with places prioritised for AY2027 applicants. 2026 fees S$39,868 for Prep 1 to Grade 3, plus a S$6,000 refundable High School deposit
Valid till 27 Oct 2026

The widest fee ladder on this list, from a S$20,780 half-day nursery place to a S$62,480 Foundation programme year. WHAT IT COSTS (2026/2027 schedule, version 1.0 dated 26 February 2026 and updated 5 March 2026, all including 9% GST): in the English programme, Nursery half day is S$20,780 and full day S$30,280, Pre-Kindergarten to Senior Kindergarten is S$40,760, Grades 1 to 3 are S$41,840, Grades 4 to 6 are S$45,520, Grades 7 to 10 are S$51,240 and Grades 11 to 12 are S$53,500. THE BILINGUAL PREMIUM: the Chinese-English programme is S$42,520 for Pre-K to Senior K, S$47,060 for Grades 1 to 3 and S$50,020 for Grades 4 to 6, so Grades 1 to 3 cost S$5,220 more than the English programme. The French-English programme is priced identically to the English one, which makes the Chinese-English premium a deliberate choice rather than a bilingual surcharge. The CIS Foundation programme is dearer again at S$56,880 for Grades 3 to 6 and S$62,480 for Grades 7 to 9. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$11,000 for a first child, made up of a S$1,000 application fee, a S$5,500 confirmation fee and a S$4,500 one-time facilities fee. The confirmation fee drops to S$4,500 for a second child and is waived from the third. SUPPORT COSTS: English Language Learners is S$9,240 to S$9,500 a year, Tier-2 Learning Support is S$4,140 and Tier-3 is S$8,500. Ask about these before you budget, not after the assessment. PAYMENT DATES: Semester 1 is due 15 May 2026 and Semester 2 on 30 October 2026, so the first bill lands months before the first day. SIBLINGS: 10% off tuition for a third child and 15% from a fourth. ADDRESS: 7 Jurong West Street 41, with a second campus at Tanjong Katong. BEST FOR: families who want a genuine bilingual stream and the most open house dates to choose from.
On-campus Open House 9.30am on Tue 9, 16, 23 and 30 Sep and Thu 8 Oct 2026, plus virtual sessions 12pm on Fri 11 and Fri 25 Sep. 2026/2027 fees S$41,840 for Grades 1 to 3, one-off costs S$11,000 for a first child
Valid till 8 Oct 2026

The January-intake school on Lorong Chuan, and the one running the only free public campus day in this window. WHAT IT COSTS (2026 fee schedule, version 22 July 2025, billed per semester and doubled here for the year): Prep to Year 2 is S$21,210 a semester or S$42,420 a year, Years 3 to 5 are S$21,846 or S$43,692, Years 6 to 9 are S$25,200 or S$50,400, and Years 10 to 12 are S$26,574 or S$53,148. Early years run from S$10,068 a semester for a three-day Pre-Nursery session to S$15,678 for five full days, and Preschool 4 matches the Prep rate at S$21,210. THE TECHNOLOGY FEE IS SEPARATE: S$610 a year for Prep to Year 5 and S$370 for Years 6 to 12 on a bring-your-own-device basis, payable with the first tuition instalment and not included in the course fee. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$11,570 for a first child, being a S$920 application fee, a S$4,450 enrolment fee and a S$6,200 facility fee for Prep to Year 12 (the facility fee is S$2,745 for Nursery and Preschool). Note that third-party comparison pages still quote S$890, S$4,300 and S$6,000 for these; the school's own schedule says otherwise. EXAM FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED: the school tells families to expect S$1,000 to S$3,000 for IGCSE, HSC or IB Diploma entry depending on boards and subject choices. SIBLINGS: 5% off course fees for a third child, 10% for a fourth and fifth, plus 50% off enrolment and facility fees for a third family member and 100% off from the fourth, which is the most generous multi-child structure here. INFANT CARE: a separate programme at S$3,330 a month for five full days, with a S$580 application fee and the enrolment fee waived on progression after six months. CURRICULUM: IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge IGCSE, then a choice of IB Diploma or the New South Wales HSC. ADDRESS: 1 Lorong Chuan, a seven-minute walk from Lorong Chuan MRT. BEST FOR: families on a January school year who want an HSC option alongside the IB, and anyone who wants to see a campus without booking a formal tour.
AIS Big Day Out and Open House, Sat 12 Sep 2026 at 1 Lorong Chuan (Gate 3), free of charge, open to friends and family. 2026 fees S$42,420 a year for Prep to Year 2 plus a S$610 technology fee
Valid till 12 Sept 2026

British-based since 1925, the dearest single year group on this list, and the only school here that folds its building money into the tuition line. WHAT IT COSTS (2026/2027, all figures including the Building Fund and 9% GST, billed in three equal terms): Infant Nursery is S$36,300, Reception is S$44,490, Years 1 to 2 are S$45,375, Junior Years 3 to 6 are S$47,490, Middle Years 7 to 9 are S$53,535, Upper Years 10 to 11 are S$56,010 and Sixth Form Years 12 to 13 are S$58,080, the highest single figure in this comparison. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$10,000 for a new student, being a S$1,000 application fee, a S$4,500 enrolment fee payable on acceptance, and a S$4,500 Capital Levy payable before the first term. All three are non-refundable. WHY THE BUILDING FUND MATTERS: Tanglin states that its quoted fees already include the Building Fund, which supports lease renewal, construction and facilities renewal. That is the opposite of the UWCSEA arrangement, where the levy sits outside tuition and recurs annually, and it is why Tanglin's headline number looks higher than UWCSEA's while its first-year total comes in S$524 lower. THE JUMP TO WATCH: Nursery to Reception is a S$8,190 step in one year, the largest single-year increase on this list, so a family starting at Nursery should budget for Reception rather than be surprised by it. ADDRESS: 95 Portsdown Road. BEST FOR: families who want a long-established British school and would rather pay the building money once, at a known number, than carry an annual levy.
Nursery Open Morning Wed 30 Sep 2026 10am to 12pm; Senior School Information Morning Thu 8 Oct 2026 9am to 11am; Sixth Form Information Evening Thu 5 Nov 2026 6pm to 8pm. 2026/2027 fees S$45,375 for Years 1 to 2, Building Fund and GST included
Valid till 5 Nov 2026

Two campuses, one fee schedule, and the one entry on this list where reading only the tuition line will mislead you. WHAT IT COSTS (2026/2027, including 9% GST, identical at Dover and East): Kindergarten 1 to Grade 1 is S$39,069, Grades 2 to 5 are S$40,743, Grades 6 to 8 are S$46,866, Grades 9 to 10 are S$47,313 and Grades 11 to 12 are S$49,926. Those are the lowest sticker figures of the five premium schools here, below Tanglin at every equivalent stage and below CIS from Grade 4 up. THE DEVELOPMENT LEVY: charged to every student, S$9,537 in the first year and S$5,166 in every year after. It is not optional and it is not a deposit. Add it and Grades 2 to 5 cost S$50,280 in year one and S$45,909 every year after, which the school publishes as its second-and-subsequent-year totals: S$44,235 for K1 to Grade 1, S$45,909 for Grades 2 to 5, S$52,032 for Grades 6 to 8, S$52,479 for Grades 9 to 10 and S$55,092 for Grades 11 to 12. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$627 to apply to a single campus as a day student, S$1,254 to apply to both, S$841 for a boarding application, plus a S$4,992 enrolment fee on acceptance. With the first-year levy that is S$15,156 on top of tuition, the highest entry cost in this comparison. BOARDING: Grades 8 to 12, S$45,288 a year on top of tuition plus a S$348 amenities fund. TWO CAMPUSES: Dover and East, priced the same, so choose on commute rather than cost. Note that applying to both campuses costs double the application fee. BEST FOR: families who intend to stay for the long run, since the levy is heaviest in year one and the tuition line is genuinely competitive; less so for a two-year posting.
UWCSEA Open House runs 2 Sep to 2 Oct 2026: Admissions Explained webinar, school section webinars with principals and students, a boarding webinar and in-person campus visits, all by registration. 2026/2027 fees S$40,743 for Grades 2 to 5 plus a S$9,537 first-year Development Levy
Valid till 2 Oct 2026

The most expensive first year in this comparison, and the only school here running both the IB Diploma and Advanced Placement. WHAT IT COSTS (2026/2027, including 9% GST, Woodleigh campus): Elementary Grades 1 to 5 is S$24,010 a semester, Middle School Grades 6 to 8 is S$25,970 and High School Grades 9 to 12 is S$27,420. THE ANNUAL FIGURE INCLUDES THE TECHNOLOGY FEE: the school's annual totals of S$49,040, S$53,210 and S$56,110 are two semesters of tuition plus the technology fee, which is S$1,020 for Elementary and S$1,270 for Middle and High School. Tuition alone is S$48,020, S$51,940 and S$54,840. Across all year groups the range runs from S$20,420 at the youngest Early Years band to S$56,110 in High School. THE ONE-OFF MONEY: S$13,410 at Woodleigh, being a S$950 application fee, a S$4,140 enrolment fee and a S$8,320 facility fee. The facility fee drops to S$3,200 at the Early Learning Village, so a family starting at age two and moving up pays the Woodleigh facility fee later rather than instead. WHAT IS INCLUDED: course fees, all textbooks, workbooks, stationery, selected after-school activities and a division yearbook, which is a broader bundle than most schools here offer. SIBLINGS: 10% off tuition for a third child and 20% from a fourth. RESULTS: the school reports a 100% IB Diploma pass rate for its 2025 graduates with 13% scoring 40 points or more. TWO CAMPUSES: the Early Learning Village at 3 Chuan Lane for ages 1 to 6, and Woodleigh at 1 Woodleigh Lane for ages 6 to 18. CURRICULUM: IB Diploma, Advanced Placement and BTEC, plus a preparatory course for students who need English before mainstream entry. BEST FOR: families who want an American pathway with AP as well as IB, and who can absorb the highest entry cost here for the widest included bundle.

Every figure above was read on 6 September 2026 from the school's own published fee schedule, not from a comparison site. Four of the nine publish a downloadable PDF (Canadian International School's 2026/2027 schedule, version 1.0 dated 26 February 2026 and updated 5 March 2026; the Australian International School's 2026 schedule, version 22 July 2025; and SJI International's separate Elementary and High School schedules for the 2026 academic year). The rest publish tables on the fee page itself. Where a third-party site disagreed with the school, we used the school. Two examples of why that matters: aggregator pages still list AIS at a S$890 application fee, S$4,300 enrolment and S$6,000 facility fee, while the school's own current schedule says S$920, S$4,450 and S$6,200. Another lists Canadian International School's top band at S$51,550 when the school's own PDF says S$53,500.
All nine quote fees inclusive of 9% GST, so for once the prices are directly comparable on that basis. Everything below the tuition line is not: bus, meals, uniforms, exam entry, learning support and additional languages are billed separately at every one of them.
"2026 fees" means two different things in this list, which is the quiet trap when you put two quotes side by side.
Middleton, the Australian International School and SJI International run a January to December year, so their 2026 schedule is the one your child would start on in January. Tanglin Trust, UWCSEA, Canadian International School and Stamford American run August to June, so their 2026/2027 schedule covers the year starting this August. The International French School runs September to June. One World International School publishes a 2026-27 schedule.
The practical consequence: if you are applying now for a start in 2027, the AIS, SJI and Middleton numbers here are for the year that is about to end, and their 2027 schedules will be published before you commit. The August-intake schools have already published the year you would be joining.
The one-time money divides into four kinds, and only the first is refundable anywhere.
Refundable deposits. SJI International High School takes a S$6,000 security deposit, returned on graduation. The International French School takes a S$5,170 School Fees Advance that rolls over year to year and is either offset against your final term or refunded when you leave, capped at three children per family. Nobody else on this list takes one.
Application fees. From S$627 at UWCSEA for a single campus to S$2,725 at SJI International for Grade 7 entry. SJI charges Grade 7 applicants more than four times what it charges Grade 8 to 12 applicants, and gives a discounted S$1,090 rate to its own preschool's Kindergarten 2 graduates moving into Grade 1.
Enrolment or confirmation fees. S$3,815 at SJI, S$4,140 at Stamford, S$4,450 at AIS, S$4,500 at Tanglin, S$4,992 at UWCSEA, and S$5,500 at Canadian International School for a first child (S$4,500 for a second, waived from the third).
Building, facility and capital levies. This is the line that decides the ranking. Tanglin charges a S$4,500 Capital Levy once. CIS charges a S$4,500 Facilities Fee once. AIS charges S$6,200 once for Prep to Year 12. Stamford charges S$8,320 once at Woodleigh (S$3,200 at the Early Learning Village). UWCSEA charges a Development Levy of S$9,537 in the first year and then S$5,166 every year after, which is the only one of these that never stops. One World International School has no separate building fee at its Nanyang campus at all, but folds a S$7,291 building fee inside the annual tuition at its Punggol Digital Campus, so the same grade costs S$24,158 at Jurong West and S$31,449 at Punggol.
Middleton's Grade 1 costs more than Grade 2. Grade 1 is S$26,247.12 against S$21,760.25 for Grades 2 to 5, a S$4,487 jump in the wrong direction. The reason is on the fee table: an additional language is compulsory in Grade 1 at S$4,100, and optional from Grade 2 onwards.
SJI International's Grade 11 costs more than Grade 12. S$51,166 against S$43,580. The school's own note explains it: Grade 11 Term 1 is structured higher to cover upfront resource planning and materials for the whole two-year IB Diploma, so you pay the front half of a two-year bill in one term.
Stamford's annual figure is tuition plus the technology fee. Elementary tuition is S$24,010 a semester, which is S$48,020, and the S$49,040 annual figure adds the S$1,020 Elementary technology fee. Middle and High School add S$1,270. AIS bills its technology fee separately instead, at S$610 for Prep to Year 5 and S$370 for Year 6 to 12 on a bring-your-own-device basis.
None of these help a family with one or two children, which is most families. Canadian International School gives 10% off the third child's tuition and 15% from the fourth. Stamford gives 10% off the third and 20% from the fourth. AIS gives 5%, 10% and 10% for the third, fourth and fifth, and waives half the enrolment and facility fees for a third child and all of them from the fourth. SJI International gives 25% off tuition from the fourth child. Middleton is the outlier and the only one that helps a two-child family: 10% off course fees for the second child onwards, applied to the child with the lower fee. IFS gives 5% for a third child, 10% for a fourth and 15% from a fifth, but not on optional streams.
Ask for the fee schedule for the year your child would actually start, not the current one. Ask whether the building or facility levy is one-time or annual, and get the answer in writing. Ask what the exam entry fees run to: AIS states plainly that IGCSE, HSC and IB Diploma entry is not included and to budget S$1,000 to S$3,000, and SJI International prices Grade 10 at S$188 a subject across eight or nine subjects and Grade 12 at S$228 a subject across six. Ask what English language support costs if your child may need it, because it is not a rounding error: CIS charges S$9,240 to S$9,500 a year, AIS charges S$4,347 to S$7,142 a semester, and SJI International charges S$7,911 a year for its in-class and withdrawal EAL programme.
Of the nine schools whose official fee schedules we read on 6 September 2026, **Middleton International School is the cheapest at S$21,760.25 a year for Grades 2 to 5**, and it is cheapest on first-year cash too because its only one-off charge is a S$1,454 application fee (S$671 administration plus S$783 confirmation). One World International School's Nanyang campus is next at S$24,158 for Early Childhood 1 to Grade 6 with a S$1,420 application fee, and the International French School's Classic elementary section is S$24,305 with S$5,450 in non-refundable one-off fees plus a S$5,170 refundable School Fees Advance. Note that cheaper schools than these nine exist in Singapore, including several in the S$14,000 to S$20,000 band; this list covers the nine whose current schedules we could read in full from the school itself.
Across these nine schools the published annual tuition runs from **S$20,420 (Stamford American's youngest Early Years band) to S$58,080 (Tanglin Trust's Sixth Form)**, all inclusive of 9% GST. At primary level specifically the band is S$21,760 to S$49,040. Budget separately for the one-off money, which ranges from S$1,454 to S$15,156 depending on the school, and for the things no school includes in tuition: bus (S$4,296 to S$5,257 a year at OWIS, for example), meals, uniforms, exam entry (AIS tells families to budget S$1,000 to S$3,000 for IGCSE, HSC or IB), and English language support if your child needs it (S$9,240 to S$9,500 a year at CIS).
Not by default. Singapore citizens need approval from the Ministry of Education to enrol in a foreign-system school, and that approval is granted case by case rather than on request, so treat it as a question to put to both MOE and the school's admissions office before you pay an application fee. SJI International is the one on this list with the strongest local footprint, since it sits within the St. Joseph's Institution family of schools at 490 Thomson Road and runs a Singapore-registered board, but its admissions rules for citizens are still the school's to state. Ask the admissions team directly at the open house and get the answer before the S$1,635 to S$2,725 application fee, which is non-refundable at every school here.
Most of them, and this is the window. **UWCSEA** runs a rolling Open House from 2 September to 2 October with an Admissions Explained webinar, section webinars, a boarding webinar and in-person campus visits. **Canadian International School** holds an on-campus session at 9.30am every Tuesday on 9, 16, 23 and 30 September and 8 October, plus virtual sessions at 12pm on 11 and 25 September. **AIS** opens the Lorong Chuan campus free of charge for its Big Day Out and Open House on Saturday 12 September, entry at Gate 3. **IFS** runs sessions at 8.45am on Friday 18 September and Friday 9 October, and at 9.30am on Saturday 14 November. **SJI International Elementary** holds a virtual open house on 22 September at 9.30am and an in-person, parents-only session on 27 October at 9.25am with places prioritised for AY2027 applicants. **Stamford American** opens its Early Learning Village at 3 Chuan Lane on Wednesday 30 September, 9.30am to 11.30am. **Tanglin** runs a Nursery Open Morning on Wednesday 30 September 10am to 12pm, a Senior School Information Morning on Thursday 8 October 9am to 11am, and a Sixth Form Information Evening on Thursday 5 November 6pm to 8pm.
On the sticker price, no. On what you actually pay in year one, yes, and only just. **UWCSEA's Grades 2 to 5 tuition is S$40,743 against Tanglin's S$45,375 for Years 1 to 2**, so the tuition line favours UWCSEA by S$4,632. But UWCSEA adds a S$627 application fee, a S$4,992 enrolment fee and a S$9,537 first-year Development Levy, taking first-year cash to **S$55,899**. Tanglin adds a S$1,000 application fee, a S$4,500 enrolment fee and a S$4,500 Capital Levy, taking it to **S$55,375**, since Tanglin's tuition already includes its Building Fund. The gap does not close in year two either: UWCSEA's levy drops to S$5,166 but keeps being charged, so Grades 2 to 5 cost S$45,909 a year against Tanglin's S$45,375. Two schools that look S$4,632 apart are in practice S$524 apart in year one and S$534 in year two.
