Singtel has put its no-contract 5G+ Seniors SIM Only Plan on sale at $6 a month. Its own SIM Only plans page shows the usual $12 struck through and calls the price "limited time only". Deal sites date the offer from 15 September 2026, and Singtel has published no end date. We read Singtel's plans page, the seniors sign-up form and the terms it links to on 17 September.
> Quick view: Singtel 5G+ Seniors SIM Only Plan · $6/month (usually $12) · ages 60+ · new line or port-in only, one per NRIC · 340GB 5G+ local data · unlimited local calls and Caller ID, each free for 24 months per the order form · 6GB Malaysia roaming · 100 SMS · no contract, 1-month minimum · no end date published · Singtel's own GOMO sells a $6 senior plan with 400GB plus 400GB in Malaysia.
The offer
Singtel's plan card lists what $6 buys each month:
- 340GB of 5G+ local data
- Unlimited local calls
- 6GB of Malaysia roaming data
- Caller ID
- 100 SMS
- No contract
It is for seniors aged 60 and above who sign up for a new line or port in a number. Sign-up is on Singtel's online form at singtel.com/seniors, which asks for a new line (you get a random number) or a port-in, and lets you pick a physical SIM or an eSIM. Deal sites also list Singtel Shops and Exclusive Retailers, but Singtel's own seniors page only shows the online form, so call ahead before making the trip.
What the sign-up form says that the banner does not
The order form carries its own description of the promotion, and it is more precise than the banner. It lists the bundle as SIM Only Plus 30 at $6/month with:
- 340GB local data and 100 SMS
- 24 months of free Caller ID
- 6GB Malaysia roaming
- 24 months of free TalkMore Unlimited
- a free SIM card and a waived registration fee
TalkMore Unlimited is the add-on that makes your local calls unlimited. So the "unlimited calls" and Caller ID are two-year freebies, not permanent parts of a $6 plan. Singtel does not say what they cost after 24 months, or what the plan price becomes when the limited-time offer ends.
The fine print
From the terms Singtel links on the form:
- One Senior promotional line per NRIC. Existing Singtel Mobile customers can take it, but only on a new or ported-in line.
- One-month minimum subscription. Cancel inside it and you pay the full month plus early termination charges; changing plan inside it also triggers them.
- Free extras vanish if you touch the plan. Change your plan or add-ons, suspend, transfer or terminate the line, and the free data, talktime and SMS end immediately.
- Fair use on calls. TalkMore Unlimited is capped at 10,000 minutes.
- Excess data is charged at $10.90 per GB, capped at $191.51 a month.
- No stacking. It cannot be combined with other promotions.
- eBill by default. Paper bills cost $2.73 each.
One thing to watch: the terms PDF linked from the form (dated 4 September 2026) describes a different bundle from the one advertised: unlimited local data via a DATA X INFINITY add-on and 50GB of Malaysia roaming, both at $6. The plan card, the page title and the order form all say 340GB and 6GB. We cannot tell which is current, so screenshot the plan card before you submit and check the plan on your first bill.
Compare it with GOMO first
GOMO is Singtel's own digital brand, and its homepage is running a Fire Sale on a $6 senior plan (usually $8), also for ages 60 and above:
| For $6 a month | Singtel Seniors SIM Only | GOMO Senior |
|---|---|---|
| Usual price | $12 | $8 |
| Singapore data | 340GB 5G+ | 400GB 5G+ |
| Malaysia data | 6GB | 400GB |
| Other roaming | None listed | 6GB Asia (24 destinations), 3GB worldwide |
| Local calls | Unlimited (free 24 months) | 800 minutes |
| SMS | 100 | 800 |
| IDD | Not listed | 400 minutes |
| Caller ID | Free 24 months | Not listed |
On paper GOMO wins on data, roaming and SMS. Singtel's plan wins if the person using it lives on voice calls: 800 minutes is roughly 26 minutes a day, and Singtel's is unlimited (to the 10,000-minute fair-use cap) for two years. It also comes from the main Singtel brand rather than GOMO's app-and-web service. GOMO's phone-bundle promotions end 18 September, but the $6 Fire Sale price itself shows no end date.
Tips
- Set it up for a parent? The plan must be in the senior's name, and a ported-in number must already be registered to them. Have their NRIC ready for the form's identity check.
- Heavy WhatsApp user who rarely calls? Look at GOMO first.
- Crossing into Johor often? 6GB of Malaysia roaming is thin next to GOMO's 400GB; see our roaming guide below.
- Mark your calendar at month 23. That is when to check what Caller ID and TalkMore will cost from month 25.
