Firefly Airlines has put Singapore to Kuala Lumpur on sale for its 9.9 Deals at as low as SGD 128, all-in one-way, booked only on fireflyz.com.my or the Firefly app by 21 September 2026, for travel until 31 August 2027. The flights leave from Seletar Airport and land at Subang.
> Quick view: from SGD 128 all-in one-way · Seletar to Subang · book by Mon 21 Sep 2026 · travel to 31 Aug 2027 · official website or app only · free 10kg checked bag, snacks, "flexible" changes · a SAVER date change on a Singapore flight is MYR 150 per person per flight plus fare difference.
The offer
Firefly's own Singapore deal page reads "9.9 Deals are here!" and sets out what you get:
- Fares from SGD 128, all-in one-way, to Kuala Lumpur via Subang, "exclusively on our official website or mobile app".
- Free 10kg checked baggage, complimentary in-flight snacks and flexible flight changes.
- Book by 21 September 2026, and travel from now until 31 August 2027.
Firefly is the Malaysia Aviation Group's turboprop airline. It flies from Seletar Airport (21 Seletar Aerospace Road 1), not Changi, to Subang's Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, the older city airport for KL rather than KLIA. Firefly's own travel information also allows a 7kg carry-on on top of the checked bag.
What "all-in" is made of
Firefly publishes its surcharges and taxes per passenger, one way. Out of Seletar, MYR 135 of the fare is not the airline's base fare:
| Charge | Seletar to Subang | Subang to Seletar |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel surcharge (YQ) | MYR 45 | MYR 45 |
| Passenger service charge (airport tax) | MYR 80 | MYR 35 |
| Other | MYR 10 aviation levy | MYR 8 Malaysia departure levy + MYR 1 MAVCOM fee |
| Total per passenger | MYR 135 | MYR 89 |
That is why the headline is one-way. The return leg carries a different tax load and has no published 9.9 price, so search both legs in a single booking to see the round-trip total. Singapore's new SAF levy does not touch these fares: it applies only to tickets sold from 1 October 2026 for flights from 1 January 2027, and the 9.9 booking window shuts on 21 September.
The "flexible changes" are not free on a 10kg fare
The 9.9 page does not say which fare type the SGD 128 seats are. Its baggage line gives it away: 10kg is the allowance on Firefly's SAVER fare, while BASIC comes with 20kg and FLEX with 30kg.
Firefly's fees page prices changes on Singapore routes like this:
| Per passenger, per flight | SAVER | BASIC |
|---|---|---|
| Date or time change | MYR 150 + fare difference | MYR 105 + fare difference |
| Cancellation | MYR 110 | MYR 110 |
Firefly's upgrades page adds that BASIC includes one free change and FLEX unlimited changes up to two hours before departure, with any fare difference still payable. So "flexible" means changes are allowed, not that they cost nothing. If there is any chance your dates move, check the BASIC price on the same flight at checkout: one change on SAVER costs MYR 150 on its own.
Fine print
- Official channels only. fireflyz.com.my or the Firefly app. Firefly waives its MYR 20 booking fee on website bookings.
- "As low as" means selected flights. Expect SGD 128 on some dates only, and higher fares on weekends and holiday peaks.
- Bags cost more at the airport. Excess baggage at the check-in counter is MYR 70 per kg on Singapore flights, and an excess cabin bag at the gate is MYR 100 a piece, so pre-purchase extra weight online.
- Name changes are expensive. Amending more than three characters of a name is MYR 150.
- Infants are MYR 50 per child per flight.
- Wheelchair assistance at Seletar is SGD 35 pre-advised or SGD 40 ad hoc.
Tips
- Book the return in the same search. It is the only way to see what the trip actually costs, since the SGD 128 is outbound only.
- Travel light or add bags early. The free 10kg covers a weekend. Anything more is cheaper online than at the counter.
- Plan the Seletar trip. Seletar is in the north-east, away from Changi and the MRT network, so allow extra time to get there.
- Book before Monday 21 September. The travel window runs to August 2027, so year-end school holidays, Chinese New Year and March holidays can all go on the same sale.
