The Soup Expert (尚一汤) at Suntec City turns one this month, and its birthday deal is a $1 soup. From Sunday 1 November to Thursday 31 December 2026, every $29.90 spent on one bill lets you buy one selected soup for $1, up to two per table.

The offer
The brand's Instagram post (25 October) is titled "Our Birthday, Your Treat!" and announces the anniversary deal in one line: with every $29.90 spent, enjoy a bowl of selected soup for just $1.
- Dates: Sunday 1 November to Thursday 31 December 2026, both dates inclusive. That is two full months, including the Christmas weeks.
- The spend: $29.90 on a single bill for one $1 soup.
- The cap: two promotional soups per table, per bill. The poster's terms put the second at a minimum spend of $59.80.
- Where: The Soup Expert, Suntec City #03-315/316, 3 Temasek Boulevard.
The Soup Expert is the Shanghai brand that serves each double-boiled soup in its own teapot. It opened its first overseas outlet here in October 2025, with soups such as Bittergourd Pork Ribs, Wild Mushroom Bamboo Fungus and Abalone Ginseng listed at $10.90 to $14.90 at launch. On those prices, each $1 bowl saves about $10 to $14, and two bowls save roughly $20 to $28 before charges.
The fine print
The poster's terms and conditions add more than the post does:
- Dine-in only. Takeaway and delivery orders do not qualify.
- Selected soups only. The brand has not published the list, so ask which soups are on the $1 menu before you order. They are subject to availability and while stocks last.
- Two per table, per bill. A table of six spending $120 still gets two $1 soups. Separate tables with separate bills would each qualify, if the restaurant agrees to seat you that way.
- No stacking. It cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, vouchers or privileges, which rules out member prices and vouchers on the same bill.
- Before or after charges? The poster does not say whether $29.90 is before or after service charge and GST. Ask when you order rather than finding out at the cashier.
- Terms can change. The Soup Expert reserves the right to amend them without notice.
Tips
- Two people, two soups. A pair sharing a claypot or two mains plus a side should reach $59.80, which unlocks both soups for $2 in total.
- Let the mains do the spending. Assume the $1 soups do not count towards the threshold and build the $29.90 from everything else.
- Missed the claypot deal? The claypot Buy 1 Get 1 Free ends on Saturday 31 October, and the $1 soup starts the next day, so the two never overlap.
- Go on weekdays. Suntec is busy on weekends, and a $1 headline brings crowds. Reservations are taken on Chope.
- Ask early in December. "While stocks last" matters more in the last weeks of the year, when festive lunches fill Suntec's restaurants.
