Yoga in Singapore has never had more choice — sweaty hot-room studios, bright boutique chains, heartland neighbourhood halls and five-star wellness sanctuaries all sit within a short MRT ride. The good news for your wallet: almost every studio lets you try it cheap first, and those new-student offers are the smart way in.
The new-student offers, side by side
First-timer deals come in different shapes, so they aren't directly comparable until you line them up:
- Try before you pay a cent: Yoga Movement — first class FREE with your first pack; Real Yoga — a free trial class.
- Most classes for your money: Hom Yoga and Freedom Yoga — 7 days unlimited for $49.
- Hot-yoga trial: Yoga Lab — 3 classes for ~$50 (drop-in ~$35).
- Premium, full-facility: Pure Yoga — new-student trial pass, membership from ~$150/month; COMO Shambhala — single classes from $45 (no intro discount).
How to pick the right one for you
- On a budget / just curious? Start free with Yoga Movement (first class free) or Real Yoga (free trial), or get a whole week with Hom / Freedom at $49 unlimited for 7 days.
- Want the most locations & timings? Yoga Movement (8+ studios) and Real Yoga (heartland outlets) have the widest reach.
- Specifically want hot yoga? Yoga Lab, Freedom Yoga and Real Yoga run heated classes.
- Want a premium, spa-grade experience? Pure Yoga (full showers, towels, lounges) or COMO Shambhala (luxury sanctuary).
Before you book
- Pick a beginner class. Look for Basics / Foundation / Gentle / Hatha, not Advanced, Power or a hot Hot-26 flow, for your first few sessions.
- Mind the heat. For hot yoga, hydrate well before and after, and step out if you feel dizzy — start non-heated if you're new, pregnant or have blood-pressure concerns.
- Confirm the current offer. New-student deals are usually one per person and can change; some (like Pure's trial rate) vary — check when you book.
- Consistency beats intensity. Two manageable classes a week you keep for months will do far more than an ambitious plan you drop — pick the studio you'll actually return to.
