> Quick view: SUSHIRO orchardgateway opens tomorrow, Friday 21 August 2026, at #B1-07/08, daily 11am-10pm (last order 9.30pm). A rotating 1-for-1 runs 21 Aug to 3 Sep — one premium plate at a time, two or three days each, from $2.30++ — alongside three drinks at $6.00++. Opening day only: min. $50 on one receipt = one spin of a sure-win wheel. The line to read before you go: both posters say "sushi will be served on the same plate".
SUSHIRO's newest Singapore store opens tomorrow, and the opening promotion is the most aggressive the chain has run this year — six premium plates going 1-for-1, one at a time, across a fortnight.
It is also being repeated online with two mistakes and one important omission, so here is the version taken straight off SUSHIRO's own campaign artwork.

The basics, from SUSHIRO's own pages
SUSHIRO orchardgateway, #B1-07/08 — opens Friday 21 August 2026, daily 11am-10pm, last order 9.30pm. App reservations for this outlet opened on 14 August 2026, so you can book before you walk down.
One correction on the address. SUSHIRO's own locations page lists the outlet as "227 Orchard Road". orchardgateway is at 277 Orchard Road. The postal code SUSHIRO prints, 238858, is the mall's correct one — so if you are setting a taxi drop-off or a delivery pin, use the postal code and you will be fine either way.
The rotation, in full
Only one item is on 1-for-1 on any given day, and the windows are short. This is the whole schedule:
| Dates | Item | 1-for-1 | U.P. (2 pcs) | Approx. nett |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21-23 Aug | Bluefin Fatty Tuna 本鮪大とろ | $4.90++ | $9.80++ | ~$5.88 the plate |
| 24-25 Aug | Big Red Shrimp ジャンボ赤えび | $2.30++ | $4.60++ | ~$2.76 the plate |
| 26-27 Aug | Big Cut Fresh Salmon 大切り生サーモン | $2.90++ | $5.80++ | ~$3.48 the plate |
| 28-30 Aug | Marinated Uni Wrap 漬けうに包み | $3.90++ | $7.80++ | ~$4.68 the plate |
| 31 Aug-1 Sep | Medium Fatty Tuna 中とろ | $3.90++ | $7.80++ | ~$4.68 the plate |
| 2-3 Sep | Aburi Soy Sauce Engawa えんがわ焦がし醤油 | $2.30++ | $4.60++ | ~$2.76 the plate |
The end date is 3 September, not 4 September. One widely-shared write-up headlines the promotion as "21 August-4 September". SUSHIRO's own posters end the schedule at "02 & 03 Sep", and the main key visual prints the window as 21 Aug to 03 Sep. Nothing runs on 4 September.
The line everyone dropped
Printed in small caps directly under the 1 FOR 1 headline, on both schedule posters:
> "Sushi will be served on the same plate."
Each poster then draws it out — two identical pieces side by side on one plate, a plus sign between them.
That sentence changes what the deal is. This is a fixed two-piece plate charged at the one-piece price, not a buy-one-get-one voucher. Which means:
- You cannot split it across two orders or two visits.
- Two of you ordering the promotion separately does not get you four pieces at half price. It gets you two plates — four pieces for $9.80++, which is simply the normal price of two.
- There is no second item held over for later.
None of that makes it a bad deal. Two otoro for $4.90++ is genuinely half price, and at roughly $2.94 nett a piece it is the cheapest bluefin fatty tuna you will find on Orchard Road this fortnight. It just is not the kind of 1-for-1 you can engineer around.
The drinks are not the same deal as each other
Three drinks run the full 21 Aug to 3 Sep window at $6.00++ each. Most write-ups summarise this as "discounted drinks ($6)" and stop. The usual prices are on the same poster, and they are not equal:
| Drink | Promo | U.P. | Actual discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Premium Malt's プレミアムモルツ | $6.00++ | $10.50++ | 43% off |
| Kaku Highball 角ハイボール | $6.00++ | $9.00++ | 33% off |
| Lemon Sour レモンサワー | $6.00++ | $8.00++ | 25% off |
If you were going to order a drink anyway, the Premium Malt's is the one carrying the value — you are saving $4.50 on it against $2.00 on the Lemon Sour, for identical money. About $7.20 nett a glass. Alcohol, so 18 and over.
Opening day only: read the wheel before you chase the $50
On Friday 21 August only, a minimum $50 on a single receipt earns one spin of the prize wheel, billed on the artwork as SURE WIN.
It is a sure win in the literal sense — no empty segments. But before you add plates to hit $50, here is what is actually on the wheel. It has twelve segments:
- $10 SUSHIRO voucher — 1 segment (the top prize, marked with a crown)
- Free Drinks Bar coupon — 3 segments
- A4 outlet-exclusive folder — 3 segments
- SUSHIRO mascot goods — 2 segments
- Loyalty card stamp +1 — 1 segment
- SPIN AGAIN — 2 segments
So two of the twelve slices give you nothing but another go, half of the rest are a paper folder or a drinks coupon, and the $10 voucher is one slice in twelve. Spending an extra $15 to reach $50 for an 8% shot at a $10 voucher is not a trade worth making. If you were already going to spend $50, spin and enjoy it. T&Cs apply.
What this outlet actually is
Worth knowing before you file this as "another new SUSHIRO on Orchard Road": it mostly is not a net addition.
SUSHIRO's own locations page currently lists Sushiro Taste Orchard, 160 Orchard Road #02-03/04/05, as Permanently Closed, and Sushiro Parkway Parade as Temporarily Closed. Counting the entries that are trading today, the chain runs 21 outlets; orchardgateway makes it 22. On Orchard Road itself, it restores the count rather than raising it — Wisma Atria and Isetan Scotts remain, Taste Orchard has gone, and orchardgateway takes its place a few hundred metres down the road.
The overlap worth timing: 21-25 August
For the first five days, two separate SUSHIRO promotions are live at once, and they collide on the same price.
- Chain-wide, 12-25 Aug: the 7th-anniversary Part 1 menu prices a Big Cut Bluefin Fatty Tuna at $4.90++ — one piece, larger Big Cut grammage, no usual price printed.
- orchardgateway only, 21-23 Aug: two regular Bluefin Fatty Tuna for $4.90++, against a stated U.P. of $9.80++.
Same money, same fish, different shape. Two pieces to share, or one bigger piece — and at orchardgateway during those three days you can order either. If you are going as a pair, the opening plate is the obvious one; if you want the thickest single cut, the Big Cut is still on the board until 25 August.
Fine print
- All prices are ++ — service charge and prevailing GST are added at the till, roughly 20% on top of the printed figure.
- While stocks last on every promotional item.
- The 1-for-1 rotation, the $6.00++ drinks and the opening-day spin are exclusive to the orchardgateway outlet.
- Only one 1-for-1 item runs per day; the date you go decides the dish.
- The spin-the-wheel is 21 August only, minimum $50 on a single receipt, T&Cs apply.
*Prices, dates and mechanics above are taken from SUSHIRO Singapore's own grand-opening key visual and its two 1-for-1 schedule posters, and cross-checked against the outlet listing, opening hours and address on sushiro.com.sg, all as at 20 August 2026. Terms are set by SUSHIRO and can change without notice.*
