The poster says "Best deal for students everyday", and the T&C underneath carry the numbers that decide what you pay.

Every meal includes one free Wild Mushroom Soup, Coke or Sprite. If you take the soft drink, you can top it up to a float for $3 with Vanilla Fair, Chocolate Therapy or Strawberry ice cream, subject to availability. That takes an $8.80 meal to about $14.15 paid.

For scale, COLLIN'S islandwide menu lists its regular Wagyu Beef Bolognese at $16 before charges, so the student version of that dish is about 45% cheaper and comes with a soup or drink.

Only these five restaurants, all dine-in:

All five open at 11am daily. COLLIN'S lists 11 restaurants in total, so the student meal is not available at Westgate, Paya Lebar Quarter, NEX, Sengkang Grand Mall, Shaw Plaza or Mandai Wildlife West. Marina Square students should note that the mall itself is due to close on 31 March 2027.

Fine print

  • Dine-in only, all day, Monday to Sunday. No takeaway or delivery pricing is mentioned.
  • Service charge and GST are extra. The T&C say prices are subject to 10% service charge and prevailing taxes.
  • No stacking. Not valid with other promotions, membership privileges and vouchers, so it will not combine with COLLIN'S Rewards perks or its 1-for-1 Tea Time.
  • Limited time offer. COLLIN'S has not published an end date and reserves the right to change the terms without notice.
  • Who counts as a student is not defined. The listing does not mention an age limit or a type of ID.

Tips

  • Bring a student card or matric card. The T&C are silent on proof, which usually means staff decide at the counter.
  • Take the soup, not the float, if price is the point. The meal stays at about $10.55, while the float adds about $3.60 once charges are counted.
  • The $8.80 dishes are the value. The Mixed Grill and Cheeseburger lose most of the discount at $16.55 paid.
  • Eating with friends who are not students? They pay the normal menu, and the student price is for the student meal only.
