Isetan Scotts Supermarket has turned part of its floor over to Okinawa for a week, and the reason to go is the meat counter. From Friday 30 October to Thursday 5 November 2026, six cuts of Okinawa A4 wagyu are 50% off, which puts striploin and ribeye at $21.40 per 100g.
> Quick view: Okinawa A4 wagyu 50% off, from $18.40/100g (kiriotoshi) · striploin, ribeye, shabu shabu, yakiniku $21.40/100g · tenderloin $26.40/100g · Johan Paris Okinawa breads $2.60-$3.80, limited daily · Orion beer $3.50 a can · 30 Oct-5 Nov 2026, 10am-9pm · Isetan Scotts Supermarket, Shaw House · while stocks last.
The wagyu
Isetan's flyer lists six cuts, every one marked "Less 50%" off the usual price per 100g.
| Cut | Usual per 100g | Fair price per 100g |
|---|---|---|
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Striploin | $42.80 | $21.40 |
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Ribeye | $42.80 | $21.40 |
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Shabu Shabu | $42.80 | $21.40 |
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Yakiniku | $42.80 | $21.40 |
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Tenderloin | $52.80 | $26.40 |
| Okinawa A4 Wagyu Kiriotoshi | $36.80 | $18.40 |
What it costs in practice: 300g of yakiniku cuts, enough for two at home, is about $64.20 instead of $128.40. A 250g striploin steak is about $53.50. Kiriotoshi is the trimmings left after the neater cuts, sold thin and irregular, so it suits sukiyaki, gyudon or a stir-fry rather than a steak.

The fine print
- While stocks last. Isetan's flyer says all merchandise is subject to stock, and the wagyu is the item most likely to run short on the first weekend.
- The shelf label wins. The flyer notes that prices were correct when it was published and that in-store price labels apply if there is a discrepancy.
- Johan Paris breads are capped daily. Both are marked "limited quantities available daily", so go early if you want them.
- Scotts only. The fair is at Isetan Scotts Supermarket, not the Wisma Atria store.
- Bring a bag. Isetan charges 5 cents per plastic bag and 10 cents per paper bag.
- Liquor is for customers 18 and above.
Tips
- Ask the counter to slice to weight. Prices are per 100g, so you can buy exactly 200g of shabu shabu for a hotpot for two (about $42.80) rather than a pre-packed tray.
- Shabu shabu or yakiniku cuts are the easy win. They are the same $21.40 as striploin but need no cooking skill: a hot pan or a pot of dashi does the work.
- Pair it with the croquettes. At $3.80 the purple sweet potato croquette is the cheapest thing at the fair worth queuing for.
- Getting there: Orchard MRT (NS22/TE14), Exit 1 or 5, then the Scotts underpass to Shaw House.
