luckin coffee has put a National Day 1-for-1 on the board, and the poster is refreshingly short on words: 1 FOR 1, On ALL Coffee, 7 – 10 Aug, ORDER VIA luckin coffee APP.

> Quick view: 1-for-1 on all coffee · 7–10 Aug 2026 (ends Sunday) · luckin coffee app only · you pay for the higher-priced cup, the cheaper one is free · cannot be combined with vouchers or other promotions · availability varies by store.

How to actually get it

The mechanic lives entirely inside the app, and it is four taps:

  1. Open the luckin coffee app (iOS or Android) and pick your outlet.
  2. Select any coffee.
  3. Tap "Select another drink" to add a second coffee to the same order.
  4. Check out — only the higher-priced coffee is charged, and the lower-priced one is free.

That last line is the one worth internalising. The discount is applied to the cheaper cup, not split across the pair. Pair a $7-ish signature latte with a plain americano and you save the americano's price; pair two drinks of similar value and you get much closer to a genuine half-price on both. If you are ordering for two, order the pricier drink first and let the free cup be the cheaper one — same result, but it makes the maths obvious before you pay.

For scale: luckin's Coconut Latte, the drink the brand is best known for here, sits in the $6-plus bracket at full price. Two of those for one price puts a pair of specialty lattes at roughly $3 a head — kopitiam money for app-ordered specialty coffee, which is the whole reason these luckin windows move so fast.

What the fine print actually says

Everything below is printed on luckin's own campaign artwork or stated in the app terms — worth reading before you plan a group order around it:

  • "On ALL Coffee." The wording is coffee, not drinks. That is a meaningful distinction on a menu that also sells fruit teas and non-coffee frappes, and there is precedent: luckin's previous in-app 1-for-1 in late July 2026 covered selected coffee categories only, and the MILO collaboration drinks launched for National Day were not included. luckin has not published a public category list for this round, so the app is the authority — add your first cup, tap "Select another drink", and confirm the pairing prices at one cup before you commit.
  • T&Cs apply. The poster states that by taking part you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the "1-FOR-1" promotion in-app, and that more information can be found there.
  • "Visuals are for illustration purposes only." The two cups on the poster are the campaign's hero shot, not a fixed pairing.
  • "Availability of the product may vary by store." A qualifying drink can still be unorderable at the outlet you picked, so if your first choice is greyed out, switch stores in the app rather than assuming the promo has ended.
  • No stacking. The offer cannot be combined with vouchers or other promotional offers — so the $0.99 new-user first cup and anything sitting in your app wallet stay unused on this order.
  • It ends with the long weekend. Sunday 10 August 2026 is the last day.

The $0.99 question, settled

If you have never used the app, you have two competing offers and you can only use one. Run it this way: ordering one drink for yourself? The $0.99 first-cup deal for new users beats half of a 1-for-1 pair, easily. Ordering for two? The 1-for-1 wins, and by more the pricier your drinks are. There is no arrangement where you get both on the same order.

If you miss the window

Two luckin outlets that opened recently are running their own opening 1-for-1 on drinks, on longer windows than this National Day round: United Square (31 July – 13 August 2026) and Rivervale Plaza in Sengkang (6 – 19 August 2026), both with the $0.99 first cup for new app users. Those are outlet-specific rather than islandwide, so you have to physically go to that store — but they run past Sunday, which this one does not.

Also still on the menu from the National Day run: the luckin coffee x MILO drinks, the Tiramisu Latte made with MILO and the Cocoa-Malt Frappe made with MILO. Those were excluded from the last 1-for-1, so do not build an order around pairing them.
