PRICE: Hisense has cut it from S$739 to S$649 against a usual S$1,499, and the product page still adds an Official Discount of $50 as a checkout option, which takes it to S$599.VOUCHER: Hisense is one of the few sellers that takes the Climate Voucher on an online order. Its delivery staff scan your voucher QR code when the fridge arrives and you pay any balance by PayNow on the spot, so a household with the full $400 pays about $199.WHERE TO BUY: the silver model is S$260 cheaper at Hisense than at COURTS, which still lists it at $859. When we checked on 1 October the glass-door versions ran the other way, at $888 at COURTS and Harvey Norman against $1,149 at Hisense, so check the finish before you pick a shop. PRICE: on 18 October Harvey Norman had the matte black MR-FC34EX at S$693 (was-price S$729), while COURTS had it at S$729 against an RRP of S$769, both unchanged since September.WHAT YOU GET: 288 litres in a 555mm-wide body with a Neuro Inverter compressor, fan cooling, tempered glass shelves, a revolving ice tray and Mitsubishi's Vitamin Factory crisper with an orange LED, according to the brand's feature list. Harvey Norman lists it at 3 ticks and 281 kWh a year.BEST FOR: a small household that wants the Japanese brand without paying for a multi-door model. PRICE: Harvey Norman's 25th Anniversary Sale has taken this fridge to S$664 against S$999, while Electrolux's own store and COURTS still sell it at S$699.VOUCHER: Electrolux has no store of its own on the government's approved-retailer map, so to spend Climate Vouchers on it you buy in person at an approved retailer such as COURTS or Harvey Norman, which this time is also the cheapest seller. SPECS: Electrolux lists 334 litres and 3 ticks, 603mm wide including the handle (595mm cabinet) and 1,705mm tall, and COURTS lists 270 kWh a year, practically the same running cost as the Midea above for 66 more litres. It uses Electrolux's DynamicAir cooling and has an ExtraChill drawer for cheese and cold cuts. STOCK: Electrolux's own store still showed it as Low stock on 18 October. If it sells out, the 415-litre ETM4200A-A is S$879 in silver on Electrolux's store, and Harvey Norman has the black ETM4200A-B at S$854.

Harvey Norman, which sold it for S$999 on 16 September and S$1,109 on 1 October, no longer lists it at all: its product page now returns Page Not Found.ALTERNATIVES: at this money the LG below is S$165 cheaper and 14 litres smaller, and the Electrolux ETM4200A-A gives 415 litres for S$879 on Electrolux's own store, six litres more than the Hitachi for S$230 less. SPECS: Hitachi lists Dual Sense Surround Cooling, a Selectable Zone and a Triple Power Filter, in a body 660mm wide, 1,800mm tall and 720mm deep, 3 ticks, and COURTS' listing puts it at 340 kWh a year. PRICE: Samsung's 655-litre Bespoke AI side-by-side is S$1,799 against S$2,199 on Samsung's own store, at COURTS and at Harvey Norman on 18 October. On 1 October only Samsung had that price, so the two retailers have both come down by $400.VOUCHER: Samsung's online store takes Climate Vouchers, so you can put the $400 against it without visiting a shop. SPECS: it is the biggest fridge on this page and the only side-by-side. Samsung's spec sheet gives 3 ticks (NEA) and 506 kWh a year, 912mm wide, 1,780mm tall and 716mm deep with handles, plus Wi-Fi control through SmartThings, an AI Energy Mode and a 10-year warranty on the compressor only.FINE PRINT: it is the thirstiest fridge on this page, costing roughly $74 a year more to run than the Midea at the October to December 2026 regulated tariff of 31.16 cents per kWh, and at 912mm wide it needs a wide recess and a clear delivery path through your door.

Harvey Norman's 25th Anniversary Sale moved most of its fridge prices since our 1 October check: it cut the LG to $944, the Electrolux to $664, the Midea to $569 and the Samsung to $1,799, put the Sharp back to $1,099, raised the Panasonic to $1,299 and dropped the Hitachi from its site. Hisense cut its own price from $739 to $649, COURTS cut the Panasonic to $1,169 and the Samsung to $1,799, and COURTS' search no longer returns the LG or Sharp models listed here. Singapore's energy label prints the yearly cost at 27 cents per kWh. The regulated tariff for October to December 2026 is 31.16 cents, so multiply the label cost by about 1.15. At that rate the Midea (269 kWh) costs about $84 a year, the Hitachi (340 kWh) about $106, the Panasonic (419 kWh) about $131 and the Samsung (506 kWh) about $158. Over ten years the gap between the smallest and largest fridge here is roughly $740 of electricity at today's rate.

It depends on the brand, and it moves week to week. On 18 October Hisense's own store was S$260 under COURTS on its 327-litre fridge, while Sharp's own store was S$511 over Harvey Norman (and out of stock) on its 512-litre model, and Panasonic's store matched Harvey Norman at S$1,299 while COURTS sold the same fridge for S$1,169. Samsung shows how fast it shifts: on 1 October only Samsung's store had its side-by-side at S$1,799; by 18 October COURTS and Harvey Norman had both matched it. Singapore's labels print the annual cost at 27 cents per kWh, but the regulated tariff for October to December 2026 is 31.16 cents (down from 34.78 cents in July to September), so the real bill is about 15% higher than the label: roughly $84 a year for the Midea and $158 for the Samsung side-by-side.
