Portable induction cookers start at $49 and built-in induction hobs at $499 on the brands' own stores. We checked seven brands on 14 October 2026, plus which of their shops can actually take your $400 of Climate Vouchers for an induction stove.
Switching from gas to induction is cheaper than it looks once your Climate Vouchers are in play.
> Quick view: cheapest is EuropAce, $49 portable / $499 built-in; Mayer's 75cm hob drops to $349 with $400 of vouchers. The catch: only 104 shops are approved for induction stoves, and COURTS is not one of them.
How to choose
- Portable or built-in? A portable cooker ($49-$119 here) plugs into any socket and suits renters, hotpot and a spare burner. A built-in hob replaces your gas hob and needs a cut-out; measure the old one first, because a same-size swap is the cheapest installation.
- Check the amps before the brand. Many 30cm dominoes and two-zone hobs run on a normal 13A socket (EuropAce's EIH5302E, EF's 70cm, Tecno's 60cm hobs at their default setting). Bigger hobs like Elba's 60cm need a 29A dedicated circuit, which means an electrician.
- Test your pots with a magnet. Induction only heats cookware with a magnetic base. If a fridge magnet sticks firmly to the bottom, the pot works.
- Two zones is enough for most HDB kitchens. Three-zone and flexi hobs are nicer to cook on, but they draw more power and cost about $330-$350 more at Mayer and Tecno.
Using Climate Vouchers on an induction stove
- Induction stoves are one of the 12 eligible product types, and every eligible household has a $300 and a $100 set, valid to 31 December 2027, usable together up to $400 in one transaction.
- Only induction-only stoves count. The programme defines them as stoves that use only induction cooking. Hybrid hobs with a ceramic or gas zone do not qualify, even from a brand that sells induction.
- The store must be approved for the category. On 14 October 2026, 104 of 831 stores on the official map were approved for induction stoves, including Harvey Norman (14), Best Denki (12), Gain City (12) and Mayer (9). COURTS' 13 stores are approved for fridges, aircon, fans and washing machines, but not induction stoves.
- No change is given. If the hob costs less than the voucher amount you select, the rest is lost, so pick exact denominations.
- Vouchers are scanned in person, either in the shop or at your door by the retailer's delivery staff, never remotely.
How we checked
Every price was read on the brand's own online store on 14 October 2026. Climate Voucher approvals come from the programme's map at maps.gov.sg, filtered to stores approved for induction stoves, and the rules from the official FAQ and eligible-products page. We left out Bosch, whose Singapore site did not load for us, and Tefal, whose only induction hob was out of stock.
