McDonald's Singapore has reworked its McCrispy Fried Chicken. Its own page calls the new recipe spicier, crispier and juicier, and it comes in Spicy or Signature (non-spicy). To get people to try it, the 2-piece meal has a launch price for three weeks.

McDonald's prints the usual price as "from" $9.25, and some outlets charge more than others, so your saving can be a little larger than $1.30.
What else is new
McDonald's McCrispy page lists the whole launch line-up:
- McCrispy Fried Chicken, 2pc or 3pc, Spicy or Signature
- McCrispy Fried Chicken 6pc box, for sharing
- Coleslaw, McDonald's first ever. Launch coverage puts it at from $2.50
- Crinkle Cut Fries, back again. Launch coverage says they are a $1 upgrade
- Spicy Chicken McNuggets, 6pc, 9pc or 20pc
- Hershey's Cone and Twist Cone
Only the 2pc meal has the $7.95 price. The 3pc and 6pc are at their usual prices.
The fine print
- In-stores only. The banner reads "In-stores: 5-25 Nov only". Order at the restaurant, and do not expect $7.95 on McDelivery. McDonald's does not say whether drive-thru counts, so ask if you are driving.
- After breakfast. McCrispy is not on the breakfast menu, so the deal starts when breakfast ends.
- While stocks last. McDonald's prints this for the whole line-up.
- Six restaurants are out. McDonald's Shell Tampines, Shell Hougang, Shell Havelock, Clementi Avenue 3, Parklane and the Tampines Kiosk do not sell McCrispy.
- Ends Wed 25 Nov. From Thu 26 Nov the meal is back at its usual price.
Tips
- Pick Signature if you do not like heat. McDonald's says the new Spicy has a stronger kick than before.
- Add the coleslaw for something cool. It is the one side McDonald's has never sold here before.
- Feeding a group? The 6pc box is not discounted, so two or three $7.95 meals may work out cheaper per piece. Do the sums at the counter.
