Klook has put its "Double Down This 8.8" campaign live, and the part that actually decides how much you save is a short table of sitewide promo codes with a hard 10am release time.
> Quick view: $20 off min spend $300 · $45 off min spend $550 · $80 off min spend $800 · codes released 1000hrs, 8 Aug 2026 · valid until 2359hrs 8 Aug, or until fully redeemed, whichever is earlier · one-time use per user account — you get ONE code · Klook website and app only · Singapore users with a Singapore phone number only · cannot be stacked in one transaction.
The codes, and what each one is actually worth
Klook publishes the tiers plainly. What it doesn't publish is the effective rate, which is where the decision lives:
| Code tier | Min spend | You save | Effective discount | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $20 off | $300 | $20 | 6.7% | All users, from 10am 8 Aug |
| $45 off | $550 | $45 | 8.2% | All users, from 10am 8 Aug |
| $80 off | $800 | $80 | 10.0% | All users, from 10am 8 Aug |
| $35 off | $450 | $35 | 7.8% | Gold & Platinum, from 10am 7 Aug |
| $55 off | $600 | $55 | 9.2% | Gold & Platinum, from 10am 7 Aug |
The rate climbs with every tier, which sounds obvious until you notice the constraint attached to it.
The line that changes how you shop this sale
Klook's general terms state that the promotions are valid for one-time use per user account. Not one per booking. Not one per tier. One, for the whole sale.
That turns 8.8 from a "collect the codes" exercise into a single decision: which tier does your basket reach, and is it worth reaching the next one?
The two spend cliffs worth planning around
Because the thresholds are hard cut-offs, there are two points where spending more leaves you paying less:
- At $780, you qualify only for the $45 code → you pay $735.
- At $800, you qualify for the $80 code → you pay $720.
Twenty dollars of extra spend takes $15 off your bill. The same inversion happens at the lower boundary:
- At $530, only the $20 code applies → you pay $510.
- At $550, the $45 code applies → you pay $505.
Below $300 there is no sitewide code at all, so a small booking gets nothing from this campaign.
If you're a Gold or Platinum member, check before you assume
The early-access codes went out at 1000hrs on 7 August and run to 2359hrs on 8 August, the same deadline as everyone else's. They are better than the public tiers — right up until they aren't:
- Under $800: the member codes win. $55 off $600 is 9.2%, against 8.2% for the public $45 off $550.
- At $800 and above: the public $80 code wins at a flat 10%.
Since you only get one code per account either way, a member with an $800+ basket should be using the public tier.
The fine print that catches people
- One-time use per user account — the whole sale, one code.
- No stacking. Klook's terms open by saying the promotion cannot be stacked together in one transaction unless otherwise stated, and that you should make separate transactions to enjoy multiple promotions. A further clause rules out using them alongside other promotional programmes, offers, discount cards, vouchers or VIP privileges unless stated.
- Klook's own platforms only. The promotions are valid only for bookings made via Klook's website and mobile app, excluding listings from and on third-party platforms.
- Exclusions. The promotions do not apply to activities on the Non-Applicable Activity List, including flights and Klook Gift Cards.
- Singapore users only. The terms state the promotion is valid only for Singapore users with a Singapore phone number.
- "Until fully redeemed." Both promotions carry this clause, and the campaign banner adds *"Limited redemptions, T&Cs apply"*. The 2359hrs deadline is the outer limit, not a guarantee.
- Taxes and service charges. Prices listed may be subject to service charge and prevailing government taxes where applicable, and the discount is applied on the final price at the payment page.
About that "$100 off" on the banner
Klook's own campaign artwork advertises "up to $100 OFF Sitewide" alongside "Buy 1 Get 1 Flash Deals" and *"and many more!"*. Worth being straight about what we could and couldn't verify on Klook's page:
- No $100 sitewide code appears in the published terms. The largest sitewide tier listed is $80 off min spend $800. Payment-partner offers are on a separate page with their own terms, and per the stacking rule they can't be combined into the same transaction as a sitewide code anyway.
- The Buy 1 Get 1 flash deals are advertised on the banner, but the terms name no attractions, prices or flash timings. Deal-aggregator sites are circulating specific claims about which attractions are included and a 12pm flash time; none of that appears on Klook's own campaign page, so we're not repeating it as fact. Check the campaign page directly at the time you shop.
Also running on the same campaign page
Klook's 8.8 page carries several National Day sections alongside the codes — "Celebrate SG61 with $61 Shows" (selected shows from $61), "Feast this National Day with F&B Deals", plus cruise, Singapore attractions, hotels and regional travel sections. These sit on the same page as the promo codes, so a single visit covers both.
What it means for you
If you were already planning a holiday-weekend booking — a staycation, attraction tickets, a cruise deposit, a regional trip — this is a genuine 10% off at the top tier, on a platform where a family attraction day or a hotel night clears $300 without effort. If you weren't, the thresholds are high enough that manufacturing a basket to hit $800 is how people overspend at sales. The honest read: bring an existing plan to the 10am drop, pick the one tier it reaches, and don't top up past a cliff you weren't already near.
