The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Singapore has put its 6-inch Japanese Roasted Black Sesame Yuzu Cake on a 50% flash deal: $30 for the whole cake, usually $60. Orders open Monday 21 September and close Sunday 4 October 2026, or sooner if the cakes sell out.

The offer
The deal is on Coffee Bean's own online shop as a single product, "Flash Deal: 50% off 6" Japanese Roasted Black Sesame Yuzu Cake", priced at SGD 30.00, and you can also order at the counter of any outlet. The cake is a roasted black sesame sponge layered with black sesame cream and finished with a spiral-piped top and toasted sesame seeds; the yuzu is in the name, so expect a citrus lift rather than a fruit layer.
At checkout there is one add-on: a 9-piece Mini Blueberry Muffins party pack for $10 as a purchase-with-purchase. Coffee Bean sells its other 9-piece party packs at $24.90 on the same shop.
This is the same $30-for-$60 format Coffee Bean used in June for its Matcha Strawberry Mousse Cake, which also came with a $10 muffin add-on.
The catch: it is a pre-order, and delivery eats the saving
Collection only starts on 15 October. Ordering runs 21 September to 4 October, but the cakes can only be collected from 15 October to 8 November 2026. Each collection date has a limited number of cakes, and orders need at least 4 working days' notice.
No changes after you confirm. Coffee Bean's terms say it twice: the collection date and location cannot be changed once the order is confirmed. Book a date you are certain of.
Delivery is $20. The flash deal page does not mention delivery at all, but Coffee Bean's cake FAQ charges a flat $20 on any order under $300. A delivered $30 cake costs $50, so you keep only $10 of the $30 off. Collecting from any outlet is free, and that is the only way to get the full 50%.
The fine print
- While stocks last, and with limited quantities per collection date.
- No custom cake decor or toppers, so no name plaque for a birthday.
- Refrigerate within an hour of collection and eat within 2 days.
- Not valid with other discounts or offers.
- The usual allergen warning applies: the cake may contain traces of nuts, eggs, dairy, seeds and wheat.
Tips
- Collect, do not deliver. Pick the outlet nearest your home or office and the saving stays at $30.
- Order early for weekends. Slots are capped per collection date, and Saturdays in late October will go first.
- Think of it as an October cake. With collection from 15 October, it suits a late-October birthday or a Deepavali-week gathering better than anything this month.
- Two days is tight. A 6-inch cake serves about six, so plan it for a family dinner rather than a solo treat.
