8 Best Supper Spots in Singapore 2026: Late-Night and 24-Hour Food (What's Open at 3am)

Swee Choon is the late-night dim sum institution, running since 1962 at 191 Jalan Besar. HOURS (per Swee Choon's own outlet page): 7am-2am Sunday to Thursday (last order 1.30am), and 7am-4am on Fridays, Saturdays and the eves of public holidays (last order 3.30am), so the 4am nights are the ones to plan a proper supper around. BIG CHANGE: from 12 January 2026 the Jalan Besar flagship opens 7 DAYS A WEEK for the first time in 64 years; it used to close every Tuesday, which caught out a lot of people, so old advice you'll find online is now wrong. WHAT'S GOOD: a huge range at supper hours (siew mai, custard buns, the cult mee suah kueh, har gow, cheong fun), cheap enough to over-order, in a loud, packed, unpretentious setting. WHO IT SUITS: groups who want a real sit-down feast of small plates rather than a quick fill. THE 24-HOUR LOOPHOLE: the Jalan Besar flagship is not round-the-clock, but Swee Choon's Express counter at CHANGI AIRPORT TERMINAL 2 is listed as 24hrs daily, so if it's 4.30am and you want dim sum, the airport is the answer. The other Express outlets keep ordinary mall hours, with one exception worth knowing: AMK Hub runs to 2am six nights a week (10.30am-2am Tuesday to Friday, 8.30am-2am Saturday and Sunday, last order 1.30am), and only on Mondays does it stop at midnight. Century Square in Tampines, NEX and Anchorvale all stop by 9-10pm. Swee Choon's own store picker tags AMK Hub "24hrs", but the hours printed underneath it do not support that, so treat 2am as the real number. Everything else shuts far earlier: Springleaf Garden (1 Thong Soon Ave) and The Rail Mall close 11pm, Jalan Tua Kong 11pm (midnight Fri/Sat), Sunset Way midnight, JUNCTION10 9pm, and the three SAFRA outlets 10pm. So if it's 2am, NEWest is the only Springleaf worth driving to. WHAT'S GOOD: hot, crisp-edged prata with curry at any hour, plus the creative specials if you want more than plain-and-egg. WHO IT SUITS: anyone after a classic, wallet-friendly local supper, and West-siders especially. WHAT TO CHECK: every Springleaf except NEWest stops taking orders about 30 minutes before it shuts (10.30pm at the 11pm outlets, 11.30pm at the midnight ones), so a 11.45pm arrival gets you nothing; Jalan Tua Kong and SAFRA Tampines also close on the first Monday of each month. Confirm hours before a long drive.

Al-Azhar is the Indian-Muslim (mamak) restaurant that has rescued more Singaporean late nights than most. Al-Azhar's own site says its restaurants are open 24 hours. OUTLETS: Bukit Timah at 11 & 12 Cheong Chin Nam Rd (the original, the one everyone means, and the address on its MUIS halal certificate EERT20240000904), and Geylang Serai at 970 Geylang Road. TAMPINES HAS GONE: 201D Tampines St 21 #01-1155, still listed as Al-Azhar in most supper guides including our own earlier version, is now AL MAKAN. GrabFood carries the shop as "Al Makan (Previously Al-Azhar)", almakan.sg gives that exact unit as its address, and MUIS lists the unit under Al Makan, not Al-Azhar. Al Makan is itself an Indian-Muslim eatery that its delivery and directory listings put at 24 hours, so the address still works at 3am, but it is a different business and its own site publishes no hours, so call before a late trip. There is also no Macpherson outlet, despite what some listings claim. On halal: only the Bukit Timah shop appears on the MUIS register; Geylang Serai is a Muslim-owned mamak but is not listed, which is a different thing from being certified. WHAT TO CHECK: third-party listings disagree with the 24-hour claim (Al-Azhar's Instagram has posted 7am-3am, and some reviewers report a 2am close), so if you're going at 4am, call the specific outlet first rather than trusting any single listing.

Spize is the one to know when your group can't agree on a cuisine: prata and murtabak on the same menu as Western mains, local dishes and snacks, so nobody has to compromise at 1am. IMPORTANT, THE RIVER VALLEY OUTLET NO LONGER EXISTS: 409 River Valley Rd was shut permanently in December 2018 after a fatal food poisoning outbreak, yet a lot of supper guides still list it as open to 5am. WHAT'S GOOD: the breadth, since someone gets a burger, someone gets a murtabak, and the bill stays reasonable; it's halal, and Simpang Bedok is a late-night eating strip in its own right, so there are neighbours still serving if Spize is packed. WHO IT SUITS: mixed groups in the east who want variety before roughly 2am. WHAT TO CHECK: this is no longer a past-3am option. If you need food later than that, go to a 24-hour mamak, Springleaf NEWest or Geylang instead; confirm hours on the day, as Spize's late hours have changed before.

For a proper sit-down supper of local hawker-style cooking, JB Ah Meng at 534 Geylang Road (Lorong 30) is the famous late-night zi char haunt: white pepper crab, San Lou bee hoon (the Hokkien-style fried beehoon it's known for), salted egg prawn rolls and sambal-fried plates, served to a packed room. HOURS: it opens at 5pm daily, which every public listing agrees on, and runs into the small hours, making it one of the few places in Singapore where you can order a full seafood dinner at 1am. Be careful with the exact closing time, because the listings still disagree: Chope and Yelp both print 5pm-2.15am daily, while FoodAdvisor says 5pm-3am. There is no official site to settle it, so plan against 2.15am: 1am is a safe arrival and anything past 2am is worth a phone call first. HARRY'S CUPPAGE TERRACE (17/19 Cuppage Rd) is the latest of the public-side Harry's outlets, open 4pm-1am Monday to Thursday and 3pm-1am Friday to Sunday and eves of public holidays, so it beats Boat Quay by an hour on weeknights. Better still, BOOMARANG BISTRO & BAR at 60 Robertson Quay #01-15 (same group, Australian menu, sport on the screens) is open 6am-3am DAILY with its KITCHEN TAKING LAST ORDERS AT 2.30AM, which makes it the one bar here that answers a 2am hunger rather than just a 2am thirst. ONE EXCEPTION THAT ISN'T ONE: Harry's does run three Changi Airport outlets around the clock (T1, T3 and The Satay Club at T2), but all three sit inside the departure transit area, past passport control, so they are only an option if you are flying that night. The public-side 24-hour choice at the airport remains Swee Choon's Express counter in the T2 arrival hall. WHAT'S GOOD: atmosphere and screens for a match or a big night, plus bar food that holds you over. WHO IT SUITS: groups who want drinks and a crowd before the real supper, not instead of it.
