August is the best month of the year to eat seafood in Singapore, for a fairly unromantic reason: National Day pushes the whole F&B industry into promotion mode, and the seafood houses lean into it harder than almost anyone.
The problem is that most "National Day seafood deals" lists copy each other rather than the restaurants. We opened all eight of these restaurants' own promotions pages on 31 July 2026 and checked each one — which is also why a few names didn't make the cut. The "20% off lunch" poster still sitting on Long Beach's promotions page ran 9 March to 30 April 2026 and has expired. The promotions still displayed on No Signboard's website are dated 2022.
> Quick view: JUMBO chilli crab fried rice $24 (U.P. $38) · Red House dim sum + Champagne buffet 8–10 Aug, $55++/$120++ · TungLok golden croaker 61% off till 30 Aug · Greenwood oyster festival extended to 31 Aug, $2.50++ oysters · Dancing Crab free $60++ combo bag on $200 spend
Sort by date before you sort by price
The tightest window by far is Red House: three days, 8 to 10 August. TungLok's 61% off ends 30 August. JUMBO and Greenwood both end 31 August. If you're only going out once this month, the long weekend is where the scarcity is — everything else can wait.
Three of the eight have no end date at all. House of Seafood's birthday waiver, Long Beach's executive set lunch and Fish & Co's weekday takeaway discount run year-round, which makes them the ones worth remembering after August is over.
How to read the ++ prices
Every price marked ++ in this guide — $55++, $61.20++, $38++, $2.50++, $60++ — is before the 10% service charge and prevailing GST, so the real damage is about 19% higher. A $55++ buffet lands near $65 all in. A $2.50++ oyster is about $2.98. The one exception here is Fish & Co's Punch Bowl range at $16.60 and $18.80, which is priced nett — nothing added on top. Worth remembering when you're comparing a nett price against a ++ one.
The catch that catches most people
Four of these eight need something more than turning up:
- JUMBO — you must be a JUMBO Rewards member or a Citibank/OCBC cardholder, and pay with a Citibank or OCBC card.
- House of Seafood — minimum four diners, one birthday per table, ID required, and you must reserve by phone.
- Long Beach — minimum two persons, and not available on the eve of a public holiday or on the day itself, which rules out 8 and 9 August.
- Fish & Co — takeaway only, weekdays only, and only between 3pm and 6pm.
Greenwood's $2.50++ oyster bar has a softer catch: eight counter seats, walk-in only, first-come first-served.
