Another beloved Singapore institution is saying goodbye. JUMBO Seafood's original flagship at the East Coast Seafood Centre — open for about 39 years — will close when its lease ends on 30 September 2026, as the National Parks Board rejuvenates East Coast Park. To mark the farewell, JUMBO is running a crab deal worth knowing about.

The $39 mud crab farewell deal

From 11 June to 31 July 2026 (while stocks last), you can order 500g mud crabs from just $39++ each, cooked in your choice of style — including JUMBO's iconic Chilli Crab. For context, market-style crab dishes usually cost a fair bit more, so this is a genuinely good price for a sit-down crab feast.

On top of the crab deal:

  • $39 vouchers for members on the My JUMBO SG app / JUMBO Rewards during the farewell period
  • Born in 1987? JUMBO opened in 1987 — so anyone born that year gets a complimentary dessert with a valid photo ID

A 39-year goodbye

The East Coast Seafood Centre flagship is where many Singaporeans have marked birthdays, reunions and tourist nights out over the decades. Its closure is part of NParks' wider plans to refresh East Coast Park — so this is a chance for one last chilli-crab dinner by the coast before the lease ends on 30 September.

Good to know: only the East Coast flagship is closing. JUMBO Seafood's other outlets across the island stay open, so this is goodbye to a location, not the brand.
