KDK is the name most electricians fit without a second thought, and the **E48GP** is its best seller: a 120cm (48-inch) DC fan with an LED light, a remote and Wi-Fi control. It is **S$458 on kdk.sg (was S$578)**, and Harvey Norman and Sembawang Lighting House charge the same. The cheapest KDK DC ceiling fan is the lightless 140cm **W56WV at S$368** at Harvey Norman and Sembawang Lighting House (S$375 on kdk.sg). Shop around on the others: the **U60FW is S$568 at Sembawang Lighting House against S$638 on kdk.sg**, and the U48FP is S$438 there against S$488. Buying direct gets you KDK's own installers for a **S$45 add-on (usual S$60)**, free delivery above S$300 and 3% cashback on a kdk.sg account. Warranty is 1 year, plus 3 years on the DC motor for the Airy series. KDK takes Climate Vouchers on selected DC fans, scanned at the site survey, delivery or installation, and its product tags cap the W56WV at S$300 of vouchers. Fanco is a Singapore fan maker, and its warranty is the most generous at this price: a **lifetime motor warranty and 4 years on parts**, with on-site servicing by Fanco. Keep the warranty card and the dealer's invoice, because Fanco asks for both. It does not sell online itself, so buy from a dealer. At Sembawang Lighting House and Hai Guan Seng the **Rito-3 Hugger (46 or 52 inches, DC, with LED) is S$188**, and a Wi-Fi version is S$50 more. A hugger sits flush to the ceiling, which suits low HDB ceilings. The **B-Star is S$189** in 36, 46 or 52 inches. The five-blade **Galaxy 5 is S$209** in any size, and Sembawang labels that a promotion price without giving an end date. The Rito-5 is S$248. Sembawang Lighting House marks the Rito-3, B-Star and Galaxy as Climate Voucher eligible, so any of them can cost nothing after the voucher. Fanco's office is at 30 Mandai Estate #02-03 (Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm); it is not a retail showroom.

The lowest price we found for a DC ceiling fan with an LED light. Acorn's **Intaglio DC-159 is S$169 on its own store (usually S$399)** in 40 or 52 inches, and Hai Guan Seng sells it at the same S$169. Only the LED version is that cheap; the lightless 52-inch costs S$299. The **Petalo DC-325 (46 inches) and Veloce DC-160 (44 or 54 inches) are S$189**, and the Voga DC-368 is S$399 (usually S$649). Acorn is a Singapore company set up in 2012. Its own FAQ promises a lifetime motor warranty, with 1 year of limited warranty and a second year if you register online within 30 days; after that a service call is S$50 for the first fan. Both big dealers quote a 10-year motor and 2 years on-site instead, so keep your registration. Acorn Care adds 3 more years for S$120 a fan. The office is at 512 Chai Chee Lane; no showroom hours are published, so see the fans at a dealer. None of these markdowns has an end date.

Crestar is a homegrown brand founded in 2004 and making brushless DC fans since 2010. It sells direct on **crestarfan.com.sg with free delivery on every order** (crestarfan.com without the .sg is only a "launching soon" page). Its cheapest DC fan is the **ValueAir 3-blade 40-inch at S$261.60, marked 34% off S$395.90**, and the 5-blade 55-inch is S$299.75 to S$327. Several ValueAir variants, including all the white ones, were out of stock. The popular **Altis+ Smart 52-inch 3-blade is S$479.60, or S$534.10 with LED**, and the Airis+ Smart starts at S$359.70. The new Hiro+ is S$652.91 (42 inches) after 20% off. Warranty is **10 years on the motor**, 2 years on the LED and 1 year on parts and on-site service. Crestar's Experiential Lab is at T-Space, 1 Tampines North Drive 1 #04-18, open daily 9am to 6pm by booking. Hai Guan Seng shows lower Crestar figures, but they are before GST.

Bestar is a local brand founded in 2017, and it prices simply. The ultra-slim **Raptor is S$188 whether you pick 33, 38 or 48 inches**, and the Star-3, Falcon and Razor are all S$198 (the Star-3 at that price with or without a light). Every Bestar fan carries a **lifetime DC motor warranty plus 2 years of full on-site warranty**, which matches Fanco on the motor and beats most brands on service. The five-blade Rapture is on clearance at **S$288 instead of S$488** while stocks last. Bestar fans run on the Smart Life app, and some models have an iFeel thermal sensor. There is no Bestar showroom and installation is not included; the brand lists dealers by region, and both Sembawang Lighting House (Raptor S$188, marked down from S$268) and Hai Guan Seng stock it and take Climate Vouchers on its DC models.

Fanztec, run by local firm Winfinity Electric, sells through COURTS and Harvey Norman but also has its own online store, and that is where the deals are. The **Airmaster (45 or 52 inches, DC with dimmable LED) is S$198, down from S$298**, or S$248 with smart control (was S$348), and every variant was in stock. Warranty is **2 years on parts and 10 years on the motor**, but labour and transport are charged from the third year, and you must register within 14 days. Fanztec's own Promotion page still says "Coming Soon", so these standing markdowns are the only discount. The office is at 970 Toa Payoh North (Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5pm); there is no showroom.

If the fan is part of the interior design, SPIN is the Singapore design house to look at. It claims the first hugger fan in Singapore made for low ceilings, and its fans are sculptural rather than cheap. The **Signature is S$872 at 43 inches, S$981 at 52 and S$1,090 at 60**, without LED; the light adds S$163.50 and the Savannah or Caramel finishes add S$109. The Timber collection with wooden blades runs S$981 to S$1,308, and the ONIX is S$937.40 at 60 inches. SPIN gives a **10-year limited motor warranty**, 1 year on on-site parts and 2 years on the LED, but from the second year you pay transport and service charges even for a motor claim, and you must register within 10 days. It asks you to use its certified installers, because third-party installation voids cover. Book a visit to its showrooms at B-Central (994 Bendemeer Road #05-01) or T-Space Tampines (#04-18), daily 9am to 6pm. There is no discount running, and the site does not mention Climate Vouchers.

The one-stop shop if you want to compare brands side by side. Sembawang Lighting House at **602 Sembawang Road (daily 10am to 7pm, public holidays to 6pm)** carries KDK, Fanco, Acorn, Bestar, Crestar and more, with **71 DC products** on its Climate Voucher page. The cheapest DC ceiling fans are **S$188** (Bestar Raptor, Fanco Rito-3, Youkain), and its KDK prices beat kdk.sg on several models: U60FW S$568 (S$638 direct) and U48FP S$438 (S$488 direct). Installation is by freelance electricians paid in cash: **S$40 a fan for ceilings up to 2.7m**, rising to S$80 at 3.39m, plus S$5 transport, and S$150 to S$200 extra for a false-ceiling support. So the cheapest fitted DC fan here is about **S$233**. Delivery is S$20 a trip under S$500 and free if they install. The shop is on the official Climate Voucher map for DC fans and LED lights, but vouchers are in-store only and cannot pay for installation or delivery. It ran a 9.9 poster on 8 September with no terms or end date.

Delivery is free above S$200. Two catches. Its KDK prices run higher than elsewhere (E48HP S$438 against S$378 on kdk.sg), and its Crestar prices are before GST. Its "free fans" page says the Climate Voucher covers the fan plus basic installation, but its own shipping page says installation is not covered, and the official scheme only pays for eligible products.
