West The Sale is back for a sixth edition, and it started today: five days at IMM and Westgate in Jurong East, from Thursday 6 to Monday 10 August 2026, straight through the National Day long weekend.

> Quick view: 6–10 Aug 2026 · IMM + Westgate · store markdowns advertised up to 90% off · key in WESTSALE in the CapitaStar app for $800+ in free brand eVouchers · $400 spend at IMM → $50, +$300 more → another $50 ($100 back on $700) · $250 at Westgate → $30 · but the second $50 is capped at 400 redemptions for the whole five days.

The four ways to get money back

1. The free one — code WESTSALE. No spend required. Key the reward code WESTSALE into the CapitaStar app and you unlock over $800 worth of West The Sale brand eVouchers from 32 participating stores, including HUNTER, kate spade new york, Harvey Norman and Dyson. CapitaLand credits them to your account on 6 August, ready to use from day one. This is the single highest-value action here and it costs nothing — do it before you leave the house.

2. IMM Tier 1 — $400 → $50. Spend a minimum of S$400 at participating IMM outlet stores in a day and a S$50 eCapitaVoucher is credited automatically. That is 12.5% back.

3. IMM Tier 2 — an additional $300 → another $50. On top of Tier 1, spend a further minimum S$300 (so S$700 total) and a second S$50 eCapitaVoucher lands, taking you to $100 back — a 14.3% return.

4. Westgate — $250 → $30. A separate line: spend a minimum S$250 at participating Westgate retail stores in a day for a S$30 eCapitaVoucher (12% back).

Then there is a fifth, smaller one: Spend and Savour. Spend min. $80 at any participating store in either mall in a day, plus min. $20 at a participating F&B store in either mall on the same day, and you get a 10% rebate in STAR$® — capped at $500 per transaction (50,000 STAR$), applied to the first eligible F&B transaction of that day only.

The caps are the story

This is where the campaign page's cheerful "3X Rewards" framing needs a footnote. Every reward is a first-come, first-served pool, and two of them are smaller on the first two days:

Westgate ($250 → $30)First 150 per dayFirst 250 per dayYes

Read the Tier 2 row again: 400 slots for all five days, roughly 80 a day if it were spread evenly — which it will not be, because the National Day weekend from 8 August is when the malls fill up. It is comfortably the scarcest reward in the campaign. Each tier is also limited to one redemption per shopper per day, and CapitaLand notes that voucher-availability updates on the app are not real time.

There is one more pool worth knowing about if it applies to you: New Homies In The West and Office Privileges members get an upgraded voucher — $60 instead of $50 at IMM's $400 tier, and $35 instead of $30 at Westgate's $250 tier — limited to 1 redemption per eligible member and the first 300 redemptions per mall. Check whether you qualify under My Vouchers in the CapitaStar app.

Cash does not count

The condition most likely to cost you the voucher has nothing to do with how much you spend. To qualify you must:

  1. Already be a CapitaStar Rewards member as at the start of the promotion period — signing up at the counter is not a guaranteed fix.
  2. Pay with an Eligible Payment Method: eCapitaVoucher, a Mastercard linked in the CapitaStar app, DBS/POSB payment modes (DBS/POSB American Express, Mastercard or VISA credit/debit cards, and DBS PayLah! via NETS QR with CapitaStar linked inside PayLah!), or ShopBack Pay linked to CapitaStar.
  3. Note the double-link rule: DBS/POSB Mastercard holders must link CapitaStar in PayLah! *and* link the card in CapitaStar for the spend to register as both.

And the trap: UOB Mastercard via Apple Pay is explicitly excluded, even though Mastercard is otherwise eligible. Rewards are credited automatically but may take up to 7 working days.

The wider exclusion list covers gift cards and vouchers, stored-value and membership-card top-ups, parking coupons, SingPost, SISTIC, AXS/SAM and bill payments, lottery tickets, money changers, pawn shops, bank transactions, temporary roadshow pushcarts, GP/dental/specialist clinics, deposit and order placements, and payments through a tenant's own online or table-ordering platform. A transaction can also only be counted once — it cannot be used towards more than one reward or at more than one CapitaLand mall.

What is actually on sale

IMM is Singapore's largest outlet mall, with more than 90 outlet stores discounting up to 80% year-round — adidas, Calvin Klein, Club 21, City Chain, Clarks, Coach, ECCO, Evisu, FILA, Furla, Hush Puppies, kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Nike, Puma, Sacoor, Samsonite, Timberland, TUMI, Under Armour, Victoria's Secret and Winter Time among them. The campaign's headline figure of up to 90% off is a store-level maximum, not a blanket markdown — expect a wide spread.

New at IMM this edition: five brands make their debut — HOKA, Champion, Li-Ning, Hunter and Sam Edelman — plus two new dining concepts, BYD by 1826 (the EV brand's lifestyle café, at #03-07) and Battercatch, a halal fish-and-chips restaurant at #02-17 to 18.

Westgate's eVoucher line-up leans different: Calvin Klein, FILA, Harvey Norman, iORA, Jonsson Protein, NITORI, PLAYDRESS, POPULAR Bookstore, Schönemama, Sun & Sand Sports, The Planet Traveller and Tommy Hilfiger.

Between the two malls there are 120-plus dining concepts, and the participating F&B list for the 10% STAR$ rebate is long on both sides — Din Tai Fung, Haidilao, Swensen's, Seoul Garden, Krispy Kreme and Burger King at IMM; Shake Shack, Tim Ho Wan, Ippudo, PUTIEN, Paradise Dynasty, Starbucks and luckin coffee at Westgate.

How to play it

  • Key in WESTSALE first. It is free, it takes a minute, and the eVouchers are the best-value part of the campaign.
  • Link an eligible card before your first purchase, not after. Retroactive linking does not rescue a completed transaction.
  • Go early in the day if you want Tier 1 — 200 slots on 6–7 August is not many for a mall this size.
  • Do not manufacture spending for Tier 2. With 400 slots across five days, treat the second $50 as a bonus, not a plan.
  • Stack the F&B rebate deliberately. It only applies to your first eligible F&B transaction of the day, so eat the more expensive meal first.
  • Weekday over long weekend, if you have the choice. The per-day caps go up from 8 August, but so does the crowd, and Tier 2's shared pool does not reset either way.
