Giant is back with its third 6% CHAS round since September. From Thursday 5 to Friday 27 November 2026, the discount doubles from 3% to 6% for Blue and Orange CHAS cardholders, in store only, at all Giant outlets.

The poster covers CHAS Blue and Orange only. The window starts on a Thursday and ends on a Friday, so both cards get four days.
Why the missing cap matters
The rate and the days now match FairPrice and Sheng Siong. The cap is where they differ.

At 6%, a $100 shop saves $6 and a $200 shop saves $12 anywhere on this list. A $300 shop would save $18 at Giant, if the cashier applies it to the whole bill, against $12 at the other two. Below $200, the discount is the same, so choose on shelf prices. Our supermarket guide still rates Sheng Siong as the cheapest for staples.
The fine print
- In store only. The poster says the discount does not apply to online purchases.
- Show your card. The relevant card must be presented at payment, and verification may be required. The poster does not mention a digital card, so bring the physical one.
- Excluded items. Tobacco and cigarettes, alcohol, newspapers and magazines, infant milk powder, consumer electronics, Cold Storage gift vouchers, lottery and concessionaire purchases do not qualify.
- Promotion items are not addressed. The poster is silent. Giant's Senior Citizens page says its 4% discount still applies to items on promotion, and its CHAS page said the same when we read it in September. Ask at the cashier.
- After 27 Nov. Budget on 3%, the rate this poster doubles. Giant's separate undated Seniors & CHAS poster prints 6% on both rows, which does not fit with a 5-27 Nov end date, so check at the store before counting on it later.
- Terms can change. Giant says it can vary the terms without prior notice.
Tips
- Put infant milk powder on a separate plan. It is excluded, so a parent's biggest monthly item earns nothing here.
- Read the catalogue first. Giant's Year-End Savings Catalogue runs from 29 Oct to 25 Dec, so the two overlap for the whole window.
- Seniors have a second day. Giant's 4% senior discount runs every Tuesday to 31 Dec, with a Merdeka, Pioneer, Senior Citizen Concession or PAssion Silver Concession card, or NRIC. It is in store only, with the same exclusions.
- Check your tier. The Ministry of Health issues CHAS cards, so confirm your card colour before you plan around a day.
