Gain City has put its SG61 National Day campaign — 'Go Beyond' — on its own homepage and a dedicated sale page, and the headline is refreshingly easy to check: $61 off every $500 you spend, from 27 July 2026, 8.30am to 10 August 2026, 11.59pm.

> Quick view: $61 off every $500 spent · 27 Jul 8.30am – 10 Aug 11.59pm 2026 · online store only (not showrooms) · selected items/brands/categories · no code needed · PWP Eikou 12" DC Stand Fan $89 (U.P. $299) with $500 spend · $100 spend = DENZA D9 lucky draw entry (16 Mar – 16 Aug, COE excluded).

The offer, and what it's actually worth

$61 on a $500 spend is 12.2% off — a genuinely decent number for big-ticket appliances, where 10% is the usual ceiling. The terms are written as "every $500", so the discount comes in blocks: a $1,000 basket should take $122 off, $2,000 should take $244.

The blockiness is the thing to plan around. A $999 cart earns exactly the same $61 as a $500 cart — 6.1% instead of 12.2%. If you're sitting just below a $500 boundary, adding a small accessory to cross it is worth more than the accessory costs. Gain City's published terms don't state a cap on how many blocks you can stack, so the cart total is the only reliable check: load everything, then read the discount line before you pay.

Many listings on the sale page also carry a separate "Member's Only Extra" discount — $14 off a Bose SoundLink Flex, $130 off an LG washer-dryer, $140 off a 49" LG curved gaming monitor — which is shown alongside the $61-per-$500 tag rather than instead of it.

Two catches worth reading twice

1. It's online only. Gain City's promotion terms state the National Day Sale is "valid exclusively on the Gain City online store". Walk into a Gain City megastore and this discount doesn't exist — showrooms run their own offers. Standard delivery fees still apply per transaction, which matters most if you're only just clearing $500 for a single $61 block.

2. The exclusion list is long, and it's the popular stuff. This is where most people will get caught:

  • Aircon — Daikin, Gree and Fujitsu are out, and so is *every* System 1, portable and casement unit. System 2, 3 and 4 units from Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba, Hitachi and Eikou do carry the tag.
  • Large appliances — Miele, Fujioh, Turbo, De Dietrich, Techno and Brandt.
  • Small appliances — Nescafé, Jura, Laifen, Ruhens, Stryv, Miele and Fujioh; plus ceiling fans, wall fans and storage water heaters as whole categories.
  • IT — Apple, Samsung mobile & tablet, Oppo, Microsoft laptops, MSI, Nintendo and Sony PlayStation. The Lenovo Exclusive Store is excluded outright.
  • IT accessories — Shokz, Seagate, WD, Garmin, Kioxia, GoPro, Bambu Lab and Apple; Asus, Lenovo and Samsung monitors; Epson and Canon scanners; Canon printer supplies.
  • Home & Living — Kaddas, Ezviz, laundry systems. Furniture & Bedding — Sealy, Simmons, Osim, plus office, outdoor, wardrobe, chest & cabinet and bedding accessories.

It also won't stack with existing promotions or promo codes, advertised products with limited sets, pre-orders, discontinued models or newly released items.

The $89 fan, and the car

Two add-ons sit on top of the main discount.

The purchase-with-purchase is an Eikou 12" DC Stand Fan at $89 once you spend $500 — against a $299 usual price and a $179 promo price. Gain City's own artwork marks it fully redeemable with Climate Vouchers, so if you still have voucher balance it can cost nothing out of pocket. Spec-wise it's not a token gift: BLDC motor, 8 speeds, 3D oscillation, app and remote control, rechargeable battery (so it's portable), mood light, smart temperature sensor and a 12-hour timer.

The other is a lucky draw: spend $100 and you're entered to win a DENZA D9 MPV. Read the small print on the banner — the qualifying period is 16 March to 16 August 2026, a much longer window than the sale itself, and COE is excluded, which in Singapore means the winner still carries the largest single cost of putting a car on the road.

What actually looked cheap on the page

Tips

  1. Round up to the next $500. The single highest-value move in this sale. $61 for crossing a boundary beats almost any accessory you'd add to cross it.
  2. Check the model against the exclusion list first — especially on aircon, where three major brands and three whole categories are out.
  3. Factor in delivery. It's charged per transaction, so one bigger order beats two small ones.
  4. Look for the "Member's Only Extra" line on the listing; it's a second discount, not a replacement for the first.
  5. Don't wait for 9 August. The sale ends 11.59pm on 10 August, and stock on the sharpest price drops is the constraint, not the deadline.
