Punggol has waited years for this one. Punggol Sport Centre, the operational heart of the Punggol Regional Sport Centre development along Punggol Waterway, quietly started running on Monday 27 October 2026, and ActiveSG is welcoming the neighbourhood with free gym entry from 27 to 31 October.
> Quick view: Punggol Sport Centre, 11 Sentul Crescent (next to SAFRA Punggol) · open daily 7am-10pm · gym free until Sat 31 Oct 2026, then $2.50 adults / $1.50 students and seniors · badminton, pickleball, tennis and table tennis bookable now on the ActiveSG app · infinity pool not open yet, no date announced.
There was no ribbon-cutting fanfare. The announcement sits as a banner on ActiveSG's own booking site, the gym appeared on ActiveSG's live crowd tracker the same day, and the first visitors were already posting photos of the building and the view of the still-closed infinity pool by Monday afternoon.
What is open now
- ActiveSG gym, daily 7am to 10pm. Free entry until 31 October; from 1 November it is $2.50 per entry for adults, $1.50 for students (12-17) and seniors (55 and up) for citizens and PRs, and free for Singapore citizens 65 and above with NRIC shown at the counter. The $30-a-month unlimited MyActiveGYM scheme ($15 off-peak) covers it too.

The centre sits at 11 Sentul Crescent, Singapore 828656, right next to SAFRA Punggol on the waterway promenade.
Court rates at a glance
Rates below are the standard ActiveSG rates for Singapore citizens and PRs. Peak hours are 6pm-10pm on weekdays plus all day on weekends and public holidays; everything else is off-peak. Each user can book up to two slots a day, one hour each.
| Facility | Off-peak /hr | Peak /hr |
|---|---|---|
| Badminton (Punggol Sport Hall) | $3.50 | $7.40 |
| Pickleball, indoor (Sport Hall) | $3.50 | $7.40 |
| Pickleball, outdoor (Sheltered Courts) | $4.50 | $9.50 |
| Tennis (Sheltered Courts) | $3.50 | $9.50 |
| Table tennis (per table) | $1.50 | $3.20 |
Non-residents pay the higher standard rate (for example $4.60 and $9.70 for badminton).
The infinity pool is NOT open yet

The headline feature of this whole development is the 50m, 8-lane infinity-edge pool looking out over Punggol Waterway, and it is the one thing you cannot use yet. As of 27 October, ActiveSG's facility page for Punggol Swimming Complex says the facility is not available, and swim passes for it cannot be bought.
Two encouraging signs, though. The pool is already pre-listed on ActiveSG's live crowd tracker alongside the operating complexes, and Sport Singapore's stated plan is for the Punggol Regional Sport Centre facilities, including the swimming complex, a 5,000-seat stadium and a team sport hall, to open within 2026. We will update this article when a pool date lands. When it opens, ActiveSG swim entry at normal complexes starts at $1 for adults on weekdays and $0.50 for children and seniors; whether Punggol is priced as a normal or special-features complex has not been published.
Tips for the free week
- Check the crowd before you go. ActiveSG runs a live gym-and-pool crowd meter at activesg.gov.sg. On opening evening Punggol was at 38% while Sengkang, the gym Punggol residents have been trekking to for years, was at 100%.
- Bring the ActiveSG app. Gym entry runs on ActiveSG passes and the entry gantries, so have your MyActiveSG+ account ready even during the complimentary week.
- Seniors 65 and up skip the counter maths. Singapore citizens aged 65 and above enter ActiveSG gyms and pools free any week, with NRIC.
- Book courts early. It is school-holiday-adjacent and opening-month hype is real: instant booking covers roughly the next ten days, and dates beyond that go to ballot.
