> Quick view: The Gundam Base pop-up at Bugis+ · Mon 2 to Mon 9 Nov 2026 · Level 2 Atrium, free entry · free Gunpla workshops with a free kit, from Wed 4 Nov only · 16 limited kits, $27 to $203 · free gifts with purchase · while stocks last.
The Gundam Base Singapore, whose permanent store is at Jewel Changi Airport, is at Bugis+ for a week. There are two reasons to go: a free workshop for anyone who has never built a model kit, and a table of limited kits for those who already have too many.
Check the dates before you make the trip. The pop-up opens on 2 Nov, but the workshop does not start until Wed 4 Nov.
The free Gunpla workshop
Each session lasts one hour. Friendly guides show you how to snap the pieces together, and you need no tools or experience. Every participant gets a free model kit to build during the session and take home.
| Session | Time | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| 1st and 2nd | 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm | PH only |
| 3rd to 5th | 1pm-2pm, 2pm-3pm, 3pm-4pm | 4 to 9 Nov |
| Break | 4pm-5pm | No session |
| 6th to 9th | 5pm-6pm, 6pm-7pm, 7pm-8pm, 8pm-9pm | 4 to 9 Nov |

The free gifts
- Any purchase: a triangular multi-purpose stationery clip. The poster shows four designs.
- Any preorder: a Gundam Base logo acrylic stand. The posters do not list which items can be preordered.
- Minimum $200 purchase: an RX-93 nu Gundam shopping bag.
Fine print
- No workshop on 2 and 3 Nov. Those two days are for shopping only.
- PH only is not explained. The poster does not define it. Deepavali is Sun 8 Nov and Mon 9 Nov is the public holiday in lieu, so ask at the booth before planning around the 11am or 12pm session.
- No sign-up details. Neither Bugis+ nor the posters give a registration method, session capacity or age limit, and neither names the workshop kit.
- While stocks last. The posters say terms and conditions apply, but do not print the full terms. Kits and gifts can run out before 9 Nov.
- The $200 terms are unclear. The poster does not say whether it must be one receipt, so keep your purchases together.
Tips
- Choose a weekday evening if you can. The 5pm to 9pm sessions suit an after-work trip, and the holiday weekend is likely to be the busiest stretch.
- Go early for the capped kits. A two-piece limit suggests those four are expected to move fastest.
- Reaching $200 takes two or three kits. The $115 Freedom Ver.GCP and $95 Astray Red Frame Kai come to $210. Kyrios, Eclipse and GM Sniper II come to $201. The $203 Akatsuki set clears it alone.
- Ask about CapitaStar. Bugis+ is in CapitaLand's RANGOLI26 Deepavali promotion to 9 Nov, but we could not confirm that a pop-up receipt counts, so check before you rely on it.
