Rice cooker prices in Singapore run from under S$30 to over S$1,000, and the same model can differ by S$40 between shops.

Zojirushi is the rice cooker most Singapore households aspire to, and Best Denki carries almost the whole local range. The plain NH-SQ06/10/18 cookers are S$80, S$90 and S$99. The new NL-EAQ Micom fuzzy logic cooker (launched in Singapore in December 2025) is S$229 for 1L and S$249 for 1.8L, down from S$295 and S$316. The NS-ZAQ10 is S$279 (was S$376). For induction heating (IH), the NW-QAQ10 is S$539 and the NW-QAQ18 S$599, and the flagship NW-YAQ18 is S$799, down from S$1,419. The NP-RLQ05 mini pressure IH, for one or two people, is S$609. Zojirushi's Singapore office does not sell online: its site at zojirushi.sg is a catalogue, and servicing runs from 40 Jalan Pemimpin, #04-11 Tat Ann Building (6299 1116). Tiger has the deepest cuts in Harvey Norman's rice cooker range right now. The JKT-D10S 1L induction heating cooker is S$399 (was S$890) and the 1.8L JKT-D18S S$449 (was S$980). The JPW-G IH cookers are S$549 (1L) and S$599 (1.8L), and the pressure IH JPM-H range is S$679 and S$699, roughly half their S$1,390 and S$1,449 list prices. At the top, the Silky White JPT-H pressure IH is S$980 for 1L and S$1,080 for 1.8L. If you want one pot to do rice and a side dish at once, the Tacook JAX-R10S (1L) is S$229, down from S$398: the tray cooks a main above the rice in the same cycle. The small JAI-G55S (0.54L) for singles is S$159 (was S$269). Tiger has no online store in Singapore, so buy through Harvey Norman, TANGS, Takashimaya or Best Denki.

Toshiba's pitch is lower-sugar rice. The RC-10IRPS Low GI cooker (1L) drains off part of the starchy water during cooking and is S$199 at Harvey Norman (was S$279); the 1.8L RC-18ISPS is S$246. Harvey Norman is also running a Toshiba Rice Cooker Promotion on the new RC-DR10LW (1L, S$351, was S$449) and RC-DR18LW (1.8L, S$417, was S$549), whose honeycomb inner lid reads the steam to judge when rice is done. The top model, the RC-18VXWSG vacuum pressure IH (1.8L), is S$664, down from S$999. For a basic pot, the RC-18JR1USG is S$47 and the RC-10DR1NS digital 1L S$94. Toshiba's small appliances are serviced by Midea Singapore (hotline 6655 0088).

Panasonic sits between the budget brands and the Japanese premium names. At Harvey Norman the 0.6L SR-G06 is S$62, the 1L SR-DL104 microcomputer cooker S$99 (was S$119) and the 1.8L SR-DL184 S$129. Its IH line starts with the 1.5L SR-HFT153 at S$175.80 (was S$199), then the 1L SR-HFL103 at S$202.30 (was S$229) and the 1.5L SR-HNS151 at S$264.20 (was S$299). Harvey Norman is cheaper than Best Denki on these right now: the SR-HFL103 is S$229 and the SR-HFT153 S$199 at Best Denki. Panasonic's Singapore site does not sell online.

Philips sells direct in Singapore, and its own store undercuts the retailers on the everyday models. The 1.8L HD3212 is S$79 (SRP S$109; S$88 at Harvey Norman), the 0.85L HD3170 mini S$79 (SRP S$129), the 3000 Series digital HD4717 S$129 and the 5000 Series HD4814 S$149 (SRP S$199). The new Low Carb HD4814/50, with a steel basket that drains starch, is S$199. One exception: the 7000 Series IH HD5210 is S$229 on Philips' store but S$189 at both Harvey Norman and Best Denki. Below that, the Easy Plus RK736B (1.8L, 11 programmes, rice and slow cooker) is S$109 (was S$219), the Easy Compact RK7301 (1L) S$89 and the 0.4L RK1721 mini S$59.90. The Smart Multifunctional Rice Cooker (S$71.90) connects to the Xiaomi Home app over Wi-Fi, so you can pick a rice texture, set a timer or start cooking from your phone before you get home. At these prices there is no sale to wait for; they are Xiaomi's regular Singapore prices.

We read every price on 26 September 2026 from Harvey Norman's full rice cooker range (110 models), Best Denki's Zojirushi listings and the brands' own Singapore stores. Zojirushi, Tiger, Toshiba and Panasonic do not sell online here, so their prices are retailer prices. None of the sale prices above carries a printed end date, and appliance prices in Singapore move within days, so check the link before you pay.

If you eat rice most days, usually yes. Induction heating warms the whole inner pot instead of just the base, so rice cooks more evenly and brown or mixed grains come out better. In Singapore IH no longer costs much more: Tefal's Rice Master Max 1.8L is S$199 and Mayer's GrainCraft 1.2L IH S$149 on their own stores, and Panasonic's SR-HFT153 is S$175.80 at Harvey Norman. For occasional white rice, a S$79 Philips or S$69.90 Xiaomi cooker is enough.
They lower the starch in the rice by draining off part of the cooking water, which reduces its glycaemic load, but the effect depends on the rice and portion, and the rice is softer and less sweet. Singapore options include the Toshiba RC-10IRPS (S$199 at Harvey Norman), Philips' Low Carb HD4814/50 (S$199) and Tefal's Healthy & Tasty Plus RK8621 (S$249). Brown rice or a smaller portion does as much for blood sugar, so treat these as a help, not a medical device.
Mayer's MMRC101 1L is S$29.90 at Harvey Norman, the lowest price we found.
