Sushi Express put a three-for-two on its takeaway boxes on Saturday evening, and then attached two conditions that decide whether it is worth the trip.

What is running
争鲜gogo is the takeaway arm of the Sushi Express group, the grab-and-go counters in MRT stations and HDB town centres rather than the belt restaurants. The group's own locations page lists 39 outlets in Singapore: 21 Sushi Express, 15 争鲜gogo and 3 Sushi Plus.

The two addresses, from the group's own locations page: 624 Choa Chu Kang Street 62, #01-242 (680624) and 810 Hougang Central, #01-214 (530810). Both open 10am to 10pm daily.
The free box is always your cheapest one
This is the part worth doing the arithmetic on. "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" here does not take a third off each box. You pay for the two dearest of your three, and the cheapest comes off.
So the trio you build decides the discount. Using foodpanda's menu for the Yew Tee Square counter, the only published price list for that shop:

Look at rows one and three. Both cost about $27, and the first one gets you $6.50 more food. If you were going to spend that money anyway, three of the same dear box beats two dear boxes plus a cheap one, every time.
The other way to read the table: the cheapest way to feed three people is three 4 Seasons Inari boxes at $14 for the lot, which is $4.67 a head.
Two caveats on those numbers. They are delivery-app prices for that counter and can sit above what the counter itself charges, and the brand's post does not say whether the offer applies to delivery orders at all, so the safe assumption is that it is an over-the-counter deal. Sashimi boxes, which at $10 to $18 are the dearest things gogo sells, are excluded outright.
The poster says ALL, the caption says selected
Worth knowing before you plan a lunch around a particular box. The campaign artwork reads "ALL Bento & Donburi (Exclude Sashimi & $2 Sushi)". The caption on the same post says the deal is on "selected bentos and donburi".
Those are not the same promise. gogo's menu at that counter runs to 15 bento lines plus 2 aburi boxes and 4 donburi, and "selected" leaves room for some of them to be out. Ask at the counter which boxes qualify before you stack a tray.
Students at these two counters will have to choose
Sushi Express also has a student deal poster up: Buy 3 Mini Bentos, Get 1 Free, 23 varieties, a canned drink add-on at $0.90, cashless payment only. Deal listings put it at 21 September to 31 October 2026, school days only, last bill by 4pm, in school uniform or with a valid student ID, at nine 争鲜gogo counters. Yew Tee Square and Hougang Central are both on that list.
Those dates and rules are not printed on the brand's own artwork, so confirm them in store. What is printed, on this week's post, is the line that matters: not valid with other promotions. At these two shops next week, you pick one deal or the other.
Which one depends on the group. The student deal needs four buyers to release one free mini bento and closes at 4pm on school days. This one needs three buyers for a free full-size box, and it runs any hour the counter is open, weekend included, until Sunday 27 September.
The rest of the group has its own week
Two other things start on the same Monday, both on the brand's own page:
- Sushi Express Changi City Point runs a store exclusive, all plates at $1.50++, 21 to 23 September, from 3pm onwards, with a 40-minute dining limit and over 80 types of sushi. The reason that is a deal and not just the usual price: $1.50++ is already the standing white-plate price across Sushi Express, so for three afternoons the dearer coloured plates come down to it. The poster excludes the Green Plate item.

Before you go
- Seven days, two shops. 21 to 27 September, Yew Tee Square and Hougang Central, 10am to 10pm.
- Build the trio out of one item, not three different ones. The free box is your cheapest pick.
- Sashimi is out, so the priciest thing at the counter cannot go in the trio.
- While stocks last is on the post, and gogo counters are made-and-displayed rather than made-to-order, so the popular boxes go early in the evening.
- Nothing here lives on a page you can re-check. The campaign is on Sushi Express's own social post and artwork, not on sushiexpress.com.sg, which carries no promotions section and no prices at all.
