What is I'm Donut?
I'm Donut? was founded in 2022 by chef Ryouta Hirako, the baker behind Fukuoka's cult bakery Amam Dacotan, and its Tokyo shops have drawn long daily queues ever since. The signature nama doughnut starts from a brioche-style dough enriched with pumpkin, fermented at low temperature, then fried fast at high heat, which is what gives it that soft, springy, almost-melting bite. Creams and toppings are made fresh in-house.
From its home market the chain has grown to more than 10 stores across Japan (media counts range from 10 to 15), plus outposts in New York, Taipei, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur, with a Jakarta store also announced. Singapore is next.
What will it cost here
Nothing is confirmed for Singapore yet. The closest benchmark is Kuala Lumpur: the outlet at The Exchange TRX opened on 12 September 2026, and launch-period reviews listed most doughnuts between about RM4 and RM12 (roughly S$1.25 to S$3.70). Singapore prices are set separately and have not been published, so treat the ringgit numbers as a rough reference, not a promise.
Kuala Lumpur also opened with 16 Malaysia-exclusive flavours, including Milo, Cham, Pandan and Coconut, alongside signatures like the Original, Custard and Matcha. That makes Singapore-exclusive flavours a realistic hope, though the brand has said nothing about the local menu yet.
What this means for you
- Follow @imdonut.sgp on Instagram. That is where the brand teased the Singapore opening, and where the exact date, menu and prices will land first.
- Plan for queues. Every overseas opening so far has drawn long lines, and the KL store had queues along Market Lane from day one. B2 of ION connects directly to Orchard MRT (NS22/TE14), so take the train rather than circling for parking.
- Prices are not out yet. KL's launch prices ran roughly RM4 to RM12; we will update this page when the Singapore menu is published.
- Halal note: I'm Donut? is not halal-certified, as reported at the time of the announcement.
- Need a doughnut fix before December? Our running price list of the best donut deals in Singapore covers Mister Donut, Dunkin' and more.
