A quiet one, but it runs for three months: Cold Storage is giving S$7 off a minimum S$80 spend every weekend from 25 July to 18 October 2026, when you pay with a DBS Visa Debit Card or a POSB Everyday Card.

What the deal is

There is no code to key in, no coupon to clip and no app to open. You build a basket of at least S$80 in a single transaction, pay with an eligible card, and S$7 comes off at the till. That is 8.75% off at the minimum-spend mark.

It runs on Saturdays and Sundays only, across 13 weekends — starting the weekend of 25–26 July and ending Sunday 18 October 2026. The SG61 National Day long weekend of 8–9 August falls inside the promotion period, which is the obvious one to plan a big shop around.

The 10 participating stores

This is the part that decides whether the deal is any use to you. It is not islandwide — only these Cold Storage and CS Fresh stores take part:

  • i12 Katong
  • Novena Square
  • One Holland Village
  • Paragon
  • Raffles City
  • Suntec City
  • Takashimaya
  • Tanglin Mall
  • United Square

Every one of them is a central-belt or city-fringe mall store. If your regular Cold Storage is a heartland branch, assume it is not covered unless you have checked.

The fine print

  • S$80 minimum, per transaction. You can't split a smaller basket across two bills to reach it.
  • Specific cards only — a DBS Visa Debit Card or a POSB Everyday Card. The promotion names those two; a general DBS or POSB credit card is not what is advertised.
  • Weekends only. Saturdays and Sundays within the 25 Jul–18 Oct window.
  • Limited redemptions are available. Cold Storage says so explicitly, which means the allocation at a busy store can run out — this is not a guaranteed $7 every weekend.
  • Full T&Cs apply.

Is it worth it?

Be honest about the base price. Cold Storage sits at the premium end of Singapore supermarkets, so 8.75% off mostly closes the gap to an equivalent FairPrice or Sheng Siong basket rather than beating it.

Where it does make sense:

  1. One of the 10 stores is already your regular. Then it is free money on a shop you were doing anyway.
  2. You want the range. Cold Storage carries imported and specialty lines the mass-market chains don't.
  3. A one-off big shop — a party, a barbecue, or stocking up for the National Day long weekend (9 August is a Sunday this year, with Monday 10 August a public holiday in lieu).

Where it doesn't: travelling across the island for it. The fare and the hour will cost you more than the $7.

Tips

  1. Aim just over $80. The discount is a flat $7 whether you spend $80 or $180 — so the percentage falls the further past the minimum you go. Two trips of ~$85 beat one of $170.
  2. Go earlier in the day. Redemptions are limited; a Saturday-evening queue at Takashimaya or Raffles City is the likeliest place to find the allocation gone.
  3. Check the card, not the bank. "DBS" on the card is not enough — the offer names the Visa Debit and POSB Everyday cards specifically.
  4. Stack your card deals across chains. The same two banks are running a separate Saturday discount on eggs and rice at Sheng Siong and Giant, which is a different basket and a different store — see below.
