What you get
Lotteria's poster puts its two signature burgers front and centre: Ria's Bulgogi Beef Burger, a beef patty in sweet bulgogi sauce with onion and lettuce, and Ria's Shrimp Burger, a breaded shrimp patty with lettuce and a spicy mayo. You can pick any two burgers on the menu except Ria's Bulgogi Double Beef Burger.
For a sense of the saving, Ria's Shrimp Burger has been recorded at $7.20 on its own at Lotteria Jewel, and the T-Rex Chicken Burger at $6.90 when Jurong Point opened. Two burgers at regular price come to around $14, so $10 takes roughly $4 off.
The $3.50 add-on turns it into a meal for two: two regular soft drinks and one large fries to share. That makes it $13.50 for two people, or $6.75 each.
The fine print
These come from the terms printed on Lotteria's own poster:
- Valid photo student pass. Show it at the counter when you order. Saying you are a student is not enough.
- Weekdays only. Public holidays are excluded, so Monday 9 November (the Deepavali holiday) does not count. From Mon 26 October that leaves 25 eligible days.
- One set per student pass. Two students with two passes can buy two sets.
- No Ria's Bulgogi Double Beef Burger. Every other burger is fair game, but check at the counter for new launches.
- Limited time. Lotteria can change or withdraw the offer without notice.
Which outlet?
Lotteria has two outlets in Singapore, at Jewel Changi Airport (#B1-248) and Jurong Point (JP2, #01-47). Lotteria's own artwork for this deal is labelled for Jurong Point, which suits the schools around Boon Lay and Jurong West. If you are at Jewel, ask before you order rather than assuming it applies there.
Tips
- Bring a friend with a pass. The $10 is for two burgers, so it works best split between two students, each paying $5 (or $6.75 with the add-on).
- Do not leave it to the last week. The deal ends on Mon 30 November, and Lotteria says it can pull it earlier without notice.
- Skip the add-on if you only want drinks. It is $3.50 for two drinks plus a large fries, so it only makes sense if you will finish the fries.
- Other student deals: Collin's runs an $8.80 student meal every day, and Haidilao has a $29.90 student set before 5pm on weekdays.
