CCM Costume Rental prices every costume on its site at the same-day return rate, but its weekend doors shut at 3pm, so a Saturday-night party cannot use that rate at all. Awesome Costumes collects a returnable deposit equal to the full rental fee, so a $80 costume needs $160 at the counter. Costumes 'N' Parties works on a flat three-day period instead, which is the cleanest fit for a 31 October Saturday. On the buying side, Absolute Costumez in Ubi has 60 lines marked down right now, including a Scary Clown Mask at $15 from $35.90, and Pan-In-The-Box has quietly moved out of The Central to Geylang East, where 316 of its 743 online products already show as sold out. Halloween 2026 lands on a Saturday, which is good news for the party and bad news for the way most costume shops price a rental.

The biggest online rental catalogue here and the only shop on this list with a promotion actually running. Its Halloween collection lists 124 items, from a $6.90 spider web and a $9.90 face tattoo up to a $96 Pocong, and its separate Halloween (Kids) collection is 15 costumes from a $15.90 vampire cape, with most of the rest at $24. The catch is what those numbers mean. A banner across the top of every page reads 'Day-Time Special: collect when we open our doors and return the same day before we close', and the FAQ confirms the site prices are day-rental promo rates, with 1 night the default and extended rentals priced by picking dates on the product calendar. Since the shop closes at 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays, a 31 October Saturday-night party cannot use the advertised rate: you are on the extended rate whether you like it or not. Budget for the deposit too. Every product page states an additional $100 per costume set and $200 per mascot set, refundable, collected by cash or PayNow before collection, and the terms add that advance bookings need a non-refundable booking deposit equal to 100% of the rental rate. One internal contradiction worth an ask: the FAQ says rental pricing 'starts from $78 a set' and averages about $96, while the Halloween collections plainly list costumes at $24 and $39. The Havelock II showroom is the one place here that does not make you race the clock. Its published rental policy opens with the line that settles it: all rentals are figured on a three-day period from the day the costume leaves the shop. Collect on the Friday, wear it on Saturday 31 October, return on the Monday, one price. Adult Halloween rental listings on its own site run $60, $70, $75, $85 and $90, and the shop sells as well as rents, so you can walk out owning the costume if you would rather. It has been trading since 1997, opened in Singapore in 2010 at Kampong Bahru and has been at Havelock II since, with over 20,000 costumes on the floor and its own manufacturing for feather boas, wigs, masquerade eye masks, inflatables and Halloween props. Read clauses 3 and 6 before you sign: every late day is billed at the full rental rate, and any temporary alteration has to be undone before you return the costume, with a S$25 charge per item if it is not, while iron-on and adhesive tape are banned outright and can be charged at the full replacement cost. A made-to-a-high-standard rental house whose Scary collection prices run $60 to $100, with three rental tiers advertised on its own storefront: one day, three days inclusive of collection day, and seven days inclusive of collection day. Its rental policy is unusually specific and worth reading twice. One-day rental means between 10am and 7pm the same day, the first day of rental includes the day of collection, and days are counted including weekends and public holidays. The line that costs money is under Payment: the returnable deposit only secures the rental and does not include the rental fee, and the rental fee is the exact same amount as the deposit, which means an $80 costume needs $160 handed over at collection, half of it refunded by PayNow, PayLah or bank transfer once everything comes back in the same condition. Late returns are S$25 per costume set or item per day. Cancellation gets you a full deposit refund up to seven days before collection and forfeits 50% if you cancel two days before. It will let you take costumes overseas but will not ship them, so collection is on you. One practical catch: it publishes no shop address anywhere on its site, so this is a WhatsApp-first shop. The thing to know before you plan around it is that it publishes no prices at all. For a single costume that is friction; for a group or a mascot booking, where every shop quotes anyway, it costs you nothing.

The Henderson Road costume house is the one people describe as a warehouse rather than a shop, and its own site claims 30,000 costumes for all ages, which is higher than the 25,000 figure most guides still repeat. It rents and sells, carries licensed costume products, sources what it does not stock, and will customise mascots through its facilities in Thailand and China with a quote promised within three days of you sending a design. There is also a standing special-order line for the IT clown costume, a set that includes costume, mask and shoes in three colours and sizes S to L, on a one-month wait, which means a 31 October order placed now is already too late for this year. Two things to plan around. The hours are short and appointment-only: Monday to Friday 1pm to 6pm and Saturday 1pm to 4pm, so this is a take-leave-or-lunchtime trip, not a Saturday-afternoon browse. Singapore's first cosplay store, trading since 2003, and still the best walk-in rack for masks, props, wigs, prosthetic ears and noses, fake blood and glow-in-the-dark face paint. Masks are the value: a bat lace masquerade eye mask at $8, animal masks at $9, a Friday the 13th Jason mask and alien masks at $10 to $12. Two things every other guide still gets wrong. The shop is no longer at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street in The Central: its own contact page now gives 1015 Geylang East Avenue 3, #01-129, Singapore 389730, a two-minute walk from Paya Lebar MRT Exit C, open daily 10am to 8pm on (65) 6221 3293. And its homepage still carries a 'Check out Halloween 2020 items' banner, which reads like a dead shop but is not: the footer is dated 2026 and products have been added as recently as July 2026. What is genuinely thin is stock. Across the 743 products in its online catalogue, 316 show as sold out, which is 43%, so the shop-front rack is the reliable version of this list and the website is not. Call before you travel if there is one specific mask you need.

Every price, address, opening hour, rental period and deposit clause above was read on 19 September 2026 from each shop's own website, rental policy page or product listing, not from a directory or a listicle. Where a shop publishes no price, the entry says so rather than repeating a figure from somewhere else, which is why Global Costume and Ministry of Costumes have "quotation only" in the table instead of the numbers that aggregator pages still carry for them.
Two of those aggregator facts turned out to be wrong. Pan-In-The-Box has moved from The Central at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street to 1015 Geylang East Avenue 3, and CCM Costume Rental is no longer at the Kelantan Lane address that older guides list. Both moves are confirmed on the shops' own contact pages.
The rental price on a product page is rarely what leaves your wallet on collection day. At CCM Costume Rental it is the rental fee plus a refundable $100 per costume set, or $200 per mascot set, and advance bookings also need a non-refundable booking deposit equal to the full rental rate. At Awesome Costumes the returnable deposit is the same amount as the rental fee, so an $80 costume means $160 at the counter, with $80 coming back after the return. Costumes 'N' Parties does not publish a deposit figure, but bills every late day at the full rental rate, which does the same job.
A useful rule: work out the worst case, which is the rental fee plus the deposit plus one late day, and decide on that number rather than the one in the photo caption.
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and the same-day rates that make rental look cheap are built around weekday office hours.
If your event is a weekday office party instead, the order flips and CCM is comfortably the cheapest way to dress up in Singapore.
Rent when the costume is elaborate, adult-sized, or will never be worn again: a $60 to $96 rental beats buying the same piece outright, and you are not the one laundering a Pocong. Buy when it is for a child, when it will be worn more than once, or when the deposit maths turns a $40 rental into $80 at the counter. Absolute Costumez sits at the bottom of this list on price for exactly that reason, and with 60 lines marked down it is currently the cheapest route to a whole costume.
One timing note for anything custom. Ministry of Costumes quotes a one-month wait on its special-order IT costume and a three-day turnaround just for a mascot quotation, so 19 September is already inside the window where custom work is a next-year project rather than this one.

For an adult costume worn once, renting usually wins: an elaborate adult set is $60 to $96 to rent against well over $100 to buy the same thing, and the shop handles the laundry. For a child, buying is often cheaper outright. Absolute Costumez in Ubi sells accessories from $5 and most kids costumes between $25 and $65, and it currently has 60 lines marked down, including a Scary Clown Mask at $15 from $35.90 and a Pumpkin Theme Dress at $36 from $46. Buying also removes every deposit and late-fee clause, which at two of the rental shops here would otherwise double what you pay at the counter.
It differs by shop and it is the detail most people miss. Costumes 'N' Parties works on a flat three-day period from the day the costume leaves the shop, and bills each late day at the full rental rate. Awesome Costumes defines a one-day rental as 10am to 7pm the same day, counts the collection day as day one, counts weekends and public holidays as rental days, and charges S$25 per costume set or item per day for late returns. CCM Costume Rental's default is one night, take it today and return it the day after, and the prices shown on its site are the same-day return promo rate, with extended rentals priced by selecting dates on the product calendar. Since Halloween 2026 is a Saturday and CCM closes at 3pm at weekends, check which rate applies to your date before you pay.

CCM Costume Rental opens Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm, and closes on public holidays. Ministry of Costumes is the tightest: Monday to Friday 1pm to 6pm and Saturday 1pm to 4pm, by appointment only.
