Dyson sells three Supersonic dryers in Singapore. The Supersonic Nural (S$599) senses how far it is from your scalp and lowers the heat as it gets closer, and comes with a free stand worth S$89. The Supersonic r (S$649) is Dyson's newest, lighter format with a slimmer bent body and attachments that remember your last setting, and comes with a stand and paddle brush worth S$143. The Supersonic Travel (S$399) is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the original, switches automatically between 100V and 240V, takes existing Supersonic attachments and comes with a S$67 storage bag. dyson.com.sg delivers free the next day on orders before 5pm Monday to Thursday, gives a 2-year warranty and a 14-day return, and offers 4-month 0% instalments through Grab PayLater. Laifen made its name as the affordable alternative to Dyson, and its Singapore store (sg.laifentech.com) is selling most of its dryers well below list. The Laifen SE is S$99 (was S$139), the upgraded SE 2 with a child mode is S$149 (was S$169), and the Swift 4 Nourishing, which releases hair oil from a pod as you dry, is S$209 (was S$269). For lighter or travel use, the Laifen Mini is S$79 (was S$159), the SE Lite S$79, the palm-sized Air S$89 (was S$219) and the new Air Pro S$119 (was S$299). The Swift Premium with two styling nozzles is S$189. Laifen's own testing puts the Swift 4 at about 90 seconds for mid-length hair. The store also runs a clearance section and an old-for-new trade-in, and a diffuser nozzle for curls is S$39.

Dreame's Singapore store has five dryers on sale. The Pocket Cake is a 300g foldable high-speed dryer in pastel colours with 350 million ions, now S$139 (was S$259). The Pocket Uni, which adds an AI sensing mode, is S$199 (was S$299). At the top, the Miracle Pro High-Speed AI Hair Dryer is S$399 (was S$599). On a budget, the Dreame Mini is S$69 (was S$89) and the Hair Gleam with a smoothing nozzle S$89 (was S$109). Panasonic's nanoe dryers are built around moisture rather than raw speed: they release fine water-rich nanoe particles to keep hair hydrated. Panasonic's Singapore site does not sell online, so we priced them at COURTS. The foldable EH-NA7M is S$139 (RRP S$229), the EH-NA9M with nanoe and mineral ions S$199 (RRP S$329), the newer EH-NA0L S$329 and the nanocare EH-NB70 S$399. The EH-NA0J nanoe Moisture+ is S$329 in pink; the navy version is a clearance line at S$299 and was out of stock online on 25 September. For a basic dryer, the EH-ND65 (2000W) is S$46 and the Ionity EH-NE66 S$49.90. COURTS was also running a Mid-Autumn Sale with up to S$129 off a S$99 spend.

Shark sells one hair dryer on its Singapore store: the SpeedStyle High-Velocity Hair Dryer, bundled with the FrizzFighter finishing tool that smooths flyaways as you finish. It is S$199 on sharkninja.sg, down from S$299, which puts it between Laifen's mid-range and Dyson. Shark pitches it as a fast wet-to-dry dryer with a high-shine finish, and the finishing tool is the main reason to pick it if you fight frizz in Singapore's humidity. sharkninja.sg delivers free on orders above S$99 and offers a 60-day money-back promise.

Xiaomi has the lowest prices in this guide. The Mi Ionic Hair Dryer H300 is S$41.90 on mi.com/sg, the Water Ionic Hair Dryer H500 S$65.90, and the High-speed Ionic Hair Dryer S$69.90. That last one uses a 110,000rpm high-speed motor, which Xiaomi says blow-dries medium-length hair in about three minutes, making it the cheapest high-speed dryer here after the S$69 Dreame Mini. There is no dated dryer promotion on mi.com/sg; its current spend discount starts at S$150, above any of these dryers.

For most people, a Laifen high-speed dryer gets you most of the speed for a fraction of the price: the SE is S$99 and the Swift 4 with its nourishing oil pod is S$209 on Laifen's Singapore store. If you want a gentler, moisture-focused dryer, Panasonic's nanoe range at COURTS starts at S$139.
For drying speed, Laifen gets close for far less money: its dryers use the same kind of small high-speed brushless motor, and Laifen says the Swift 4 dries mid-length hair in about 90 seconds in its own testing.
